I came here and bought a latte to go before I was heading east to Agassiz. This coffee shop is located right at District 1881. The shopping area is very interesting with a lot of good restaurants and coffee shop. This coffee shop was highly rated on Google. I went into this coffee shop. I was impressed by the interior design. It was contemporary similar to the one in Greater Vancouver. I didn't expect to something like this in Chilliwack. Everything looks commercialized. Coffee beans were packaged in a very nice bag. Food was slightly cheaper than ones in Vancouver which was great for the customers in Chilliwack. The latte that I order tasted great. The customers filled the space quickly. I am sure they also enjoyed the coffee and vibe here. I would recommend others to come here for a coffee if they are touring around in Chilliwack or District 1881. read more

I like it black, my coffee, amongst other things. I'll leave it to your imagination. Lavender latte. I had to try it. Quite good. Dark horse whole bean coffee. I got a bag. Tried it, and it's not bad. I'm stlill using my measuring stick of Level Ground dark roast, a roaster from Vancouver Island, to judge things. Smooth but, I would have preferred it to be roasted a tad darker. Still good overall. The place looks quite new. Right at the entrance to District 1881, Wooley Dog Alley. Nice spacious coffee shop in the District 1881 area. I had the flat white and it was decent. Strong coffee. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Good to sit outside if the weather is sunny and you like people watching. Washrooms require code. Get it from the staff. read more

I've read & heard about smoking gun roasters amongst coffee connoisseurs on multiple occasion (all great reviews) but never took the next step to plan a visit, also not knowing it was in chiliwack proper. The visit was a total stumble upon while visiting District 1881, from the street this cozy little shop was packed with people inside & out! Good signs all around. I ended up grabbing whole bean coffee from their shelves - a holiday blend and their house medium - super fresh beans, not too acidic and just mellow enough for tasting notes to brew through. My favorite of the two is their house medium blend (dark horse?). I will have to keep my eyes out for their goodies my local stockists! read more

I visited District 1881 in Downtown Chilliwack. This historic building site features unique restaurants, coffee shops, office spaces, breweries, and retail shops. Although it's a small area, I really enjoyed exploring the shopping district. I found a coffee shop and ordered a matcha latte. The interior was nice and cozy. My latte had a strong matcha flavor with perfect sweetness. After enjoying my latte at Smoking Gun, I walked around and found an Italian coffee shop called Azzurri, where I grabbed a cannoli. I also got a pizza at Elevated Pizza. Unfortunately, I could not find these two locations on Yelp, but I just want to mention these two fantastic places. It was such a fun day walking around District 1881. It is a nice place for a short trip from Vancouver. Next time, I would like to try some of the restaurants. read more

I've been here twice now, and twice I've been incredibly delighted by their Maple Latte! Holy moly, it was the perfect blend of coffee and maple and I could drink a whole vat of it (if that was socially acceptable, haha!). This is a cute little coffee spot that is ALWAYS packed whenever I've passed by. They also have some fun merchandise like hats and tees with their logo that are cool to look at. There are lots of spots to sit inside, as well as a nice outdoor patio. I was very impressed with the seasonal drink offerings, and I'll have to come back in the spring to see what's new! The staff are friendly and welcoming, and add to the pleasure of visiting this great spot. read more

Really enjoyed the coffee! The staff were friendly and helpful We got the Espresso & Tonic and iced latte It was a very warm summer afternoon, so the Espresso Tonic was perfect and refreshing ! Here at Smoking Gun, they added a slice of dried orange and a basil leaf to bring out the floral notes. We got a couple bags of the coffee to bring home and as a gift to our family The seating area is also very comfortable to enjoy the coffee.
