After one hour, at 11:50am, she informed me and other customers it would be one to two hours until our dinners were ready. She offered to have our dinners delivered to our homes. I gave her my address and phone number. At 3:30pm, 4 1/2 hours after my pickup time, I called the manager. She said our dinner was still not ready. At that point, I said I'll just get a refund tomorrow. I didn't trust whatever they might end up giving us. What a horrible Thanksgiving disaster! Because of HEB's incompetence, our family did not have Thanksgiving.

The employee called me an inappropriate name and threw my food toward my vehicle, causing it to fall on the ground. I went inside to address the situation and try to understand what happened, but instead of receiving an apology or having the issue handled professionally, the situation was dismissed. I contacted management hoping they would take the complaint seriously, but I felt my concerns were ignored and the employee's behavior was defended. The situation escalated to the point where the police were contacted, even though I never threatened anyone or acted aggressively. A customer should never be treated this way, regardless of the circumstances. I expected basic respect and professionalism, but unfortunately that was not my experience. I will not be returning and hope management takes this feedback seriously.
