Sheila was absolutely amazing. I originally had an appointment at RiverStone that was canceled last minute on Mother's Day. This was extremely upsetting as it was a prenatal massage Mother's Day gift from my husband, honoring our first pregnancy. As a busy ICU RN and 2nd trimester mama I had been looking forward to this massage for weeks. Smoky Mountain was able to get me in last minute and completely relieved my lower back and hip tension. By far the worst massage I've ever had in my entire life, very frustrating and disappointing. I booked a side-by-side massage for my son and myself, one Swedish and one deep tissue, the deep tissue massage wasn't even moderately deep... it was frustrating... I asked for more pressure at least three times and while the massage therapist would increase the pressure for a couple seconds, but she could not maintain pressure for even 60 Seconds. She was large enough that if she had just leaned in a little and put some of her weight into me, it would have been OK... but it seems that she is not trained in deep tissue massage at all... seemed to have no idea where the Rhomboids are even though i took the time to point it out to her. I'm absolutely leaving here more frustrated and in more pain than I was when I got here. What a waste of money and time! Please take my word for it, don't waste your own time or money. read more

My partner and I got a couple's massage and it was heavenly. I sprang for the sports massage for both of us (I'm a runner; she's an athlete) and we were overjoyed to be "laid into" by Jodi and Kristie. Every knot was worked out and it was so nice to melt into the table knowing we were well taken care of. The space felt clean and calm and everyone we interacted with was kind--something I was wary about because my partner and I are a queer couple. Only things I would change: 1) the music included a lot of nature sounds like birds which was distracting. Something like mellow piano or strings would've been fine. 2) my partner's therapist did not warm her lotion before using it (mine did) and feeling that cold contact each time was jarring for her. Hands down the best massage I've had. My husband surprised me by booking a massage for each of us on our recent vacation. I was a little skeptical when we arrived to the location. I'm used to massages in downtown studios with waterfalls in the lobby, so a massage in a place sandwiched between a laundromat and a Mexican restaurant didn't seem promising. It's gorgeous, super clean, the staff were beyond friendly and professional, and it was so quiet.
