Visited Smooth Java Coffee Bar, which partners with Starbucks. While the coffee didn't taste exactly like what I'm used to from Starbucks, it was still just what I needed to start my day. Unfortunately, they don't have the Blonde Espresso Roast, which was a bit of a bummer for me. I ordered a bacon and cream cheese croissant, but they gave me a tomato and cream cheese croissant instead. Although it wasn't what I was expecting, it was still delicious. They also offer a variety of breakfast items, fruit, and energy drinks if you're looking for something other than coffee. The line can get a bit long, so I'd suggest going early right when they open or later in the afternoon to avoid the rush. Overall, a decent experience with room for improvement!

I hope they correct the address, this is a review for the Smooth Java Coffee Bar located in the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort 9939 Universal in Orlando. There are at least half a dozen Rosen hotel properties (and a training academy) all with very similar names. I'm not sure how many of them have Smooth Java Coffee Bars in them. They serve Starbuck products, and like Starbucks, the regular coffee can be bitter and not fresh, and they only serve in disposable containers with lots of unrecyclable plastic waste. Unlike SB, they don't take names so it's pretty common for rushed meeting guests to jump and take my order even though they ordered after me. Always a long line, and the service is quick and a little rough. Twice they slapped the cap onto my espresso cups hard enough to bend the cups and so I dripped espresso onto my shirt and shoes. I'm not as concerned about the stains as I was heartbroken at the loss of the precious drops of espresso, there isn't a lot of fluid in that order to begin with. It's the only coffee in the hotel unless your meeting orders catered coffee for a break. I wouldn't call the Keurig coffee machines in the rooms a viable alternative because that's not good coffee. There are a few places to sit here, but not really comfortable to get any work done, and besides even if you sit and drink inside they won't give you a ceramic cup and saucer. The next time I come to this resort I'm bringing my own water heater, coffee, French press, thermos, and coffee cup for the hotel room.

We came in for some coffee and something to eat. It was great to see that they had Starbucks coffee available. They had a great variety of things to eat as well. They had bars, salads, sandwiches, yogurts, danishes, muffins, bagels, fruits, and other small goodies. I had ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese and a strawberry acai drink. I waited for my bagel after my drink was done and suddenly a burnt toast smell was in the air. I was near the counter waiting for my bagel and the employee called out, "bagel with cream cheese." She proceeds to tell me that, "it's a little over toasted, let me know if you're okay with that or want a new one." I proceeded to look into the bag and saw that the top was very burnt and was very dark. I told her that I wanted a new one and she was kind enough to toast me a new bagel. The other thing that I didn't like was that there was not enough ice in my drink and it was watery that I could not finish it. It was very busy and their was a long line of customers which may have contributed to the orders as there were only 3 employees working behind the counter.

Even though coffee shops inside of hotels can be a bit expensive for a simple cup of iced coffee - I have thoroughly enjoyed stopping at this coffee shop every day before model prep and rehearsals. During this particular day, I spent more than 30 minutes sipping my iced coffee while I people watched and listened to podcast. The early mornings was quite chilled. After spending a few days in one location, I became a familiar face. Therefore, a few employees greeted me with smiles and well wishes to start that day. The ambience of this walkway setting was amazing - more spacious than sitting inside of coffeeshop. LOL! Both areas was clean, clutter-free, and well lit.

More along the lines of milk then coffee. This location is inside the hotel and to the right of the entrance. It is a nice spot especially if you are staying in the hotel. Lots of room and a great place to hang out in the morning. The coffee though... It is in a Starbucks cup, they says it is Starbucks coffee, and you order from a Starbucks menu... but is certainly does not have the Starbucks bold flavor! And then I found out part of the reason why... Their venti (or large) only has 2 espresso shots in it. I could have sworn that a venti is supposed to have 3? Generally if I order a venti I usually ask for 4! There was not anywhere near enough help behind the counter for the fact that this location was in the midst of a convention! Schedule accordingly... the line was long and the process slow... but I will say they kept it going and were methodical about making it happen! The people were nice... and once I figured out the need for more caffeine the coffee was ok... however it still seemed kind of week even with 4 shots.

Cute little coffee spot in the Rosen Shingle Creek if you're staying here! They serve Starbucks coffee drinks and have really tasty pastries. I got the chocolate croissant and a white chocolate mocha to start my day. The coffee shop is located not too far from the sleeping rooms or the pool.

I stopped by this coffee spot before heading to the convention center. They serve Starbucks drinks and a selection of pastries, and offered great service. I got a cafe mocha and everything bagel which were decent quality. There's limited seating, so I found a spot on the pool deck which had a great ambiance. I'd recommend stopping here if you're looking for a quick coffee/bite on the go.

They brew Starbucks coffee here at the Smooth Java Coffee Bar, located inside the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort. I don't drink coffee - only tea - but they do have the Tazo teas there, which is nice. What they don't have, however, are the holiday teas that Starbucks carries. Smooth Java also serves bagels, muffins, cakes, and some snack bars, too. I had an everything bagel one morning, and it was toasted to perfection, and a nice complement to my morning cuppa. Open til 8PM. You could also go downstairs to 18 Monroe Street Market for a quick brekkie bite.

Wish it was clear it was a Starbucks subsidiary. Drove from a different area for local coffee.

Overall 3.75 Stars…read more If you need a healthy alternative to heavy laden carbs or fried / rich foods, then this place is for you. After spending a day at a theme park and eating their options, it was nice to "clean" your body out with a good and healthy salad. Located on Sand Lake road near Publix and multiple eateries, this place has a wide selection of salads, sandwiches, and a limited selection of soups. Ambiance: 3.5 Stars The place was clean and has plentiful seating. Ranging from bar style or bench and tables. It is Deli style when ordering. Go to the back and select the type of salads, rice / couscous, soups, or sandwiches. There are pre-fixed options or you can build your own bowl. The eatery was clean, open and airy. Natural lighting was pleasant with the large front windows. It would have been a higher star rating for the ambiance, but the bathrooms needed some work. Though it was clean and roomy, there was no soap and limited toilet paper. Staff: 3.5 Stars Deli The employees were friendly and professional. Our server assisted us with questions and our selections. However, with the middle Eastern dialect and his ability to speak at a rate of the sound barrier, he had to repeat a few times for us to understand. Note: His patience was much appreciated. Food: 3.75 Stars We all chose several different salads. Three were pre-fixed and one was customized. 1. Shanghai Chicken Salad - 3.5 Stars Roasted chicken, edamame, scallions, almonds, cilantro, red cabbage, romaine perfectly paired with miso sesame vinaigrette Contains: Nuts, Soy I chosen the chopped romaine leaves as the base. It was light and flavorful from the dressing. However the chicken was a little bit overcooked and dry. The condiments were plentiful and fresh. Though it was good and had protein, I felt somewhat satisfied. I could eaten another bowl. 2. Chicken Shawarma - 4 Stars Blackened diced chicken thigh, kale, hummus, baba ghanoush, pickles, Israeli salad with Greek yogurt and tahini dressing. The based options are rice melody or couscous. I chose the rice melody. This bowl was more satisfying than the Shanghai Chicken Salad. The chicken tasted juicy, tender and flavorful. Choosing a thigh instead of breast brings the umami flavor of the chicken. The fresh veggies and tahini dressing was a perfect match for this option. 3. Santa Fe Salad - 3.5 Stars avocado, corn, local jack & cheddar, grape tomatoes, onions, tortilla chips, local kale, romaine, perfectly paired with chipotle-lime vinaigrette with a fresh lime squeeze. My sister added chicken thigh and avocado Chimichurri dressing. She said it was tasty. 4. South Beach - 3 Stars craisins, walnuts, green apples, blue cheese, local mesclun, romaine, perfectly paired with balsamic vinaigrette. My wife added chicken and swapped the walnuts for pumpkin seeds. The diced breast chicken was slightly dry and seasoning was lacking. The salad itself was good but wasn't too satisfying. 5. Customized Salad - 3.25 Stars My niece chose to customize her salad bowl. She chose chicken, romaine lettuces, shaved Parmesan cheese, cucumbers, edamame, and other veggie ingredients. She chose the avocado Chimichurri dressing which she liked. NOTE: they offer breakfast items and coffee. Selection of various drinks are from a deli refrigerator and they carry some Kombucha options too. Enjoy!
