BLT and macaroni and cheese side
Khyla L.

I ordered a hot chocolate with extra whipped cream- a must for me at any diner. The hot chocolate was classic and they were generous with the whipped cream. I ordered a BLT with cheese, they forgot the cheese on the BLT, but added extra cheese to the macaroni and cheese. It was loud in there, so I didn't care too much about the mix up. There was also this absolutely delicious sauce on the sandwich, maybe a garlic aioli?? I'm not sure, but it was great! The BLT was huge and the bacon was not too crispy, not too soft- just right. The macaroni and cheese side was extra cheesy and very yummy. My friends asked for water, and they only brought out 2; we were a party of 5. We asked for water for the rest of us; later during the meal they asked if the water was good- which was a little weird. The food was good over all.

First of all, there is nothing better than breakfast food. Second, there is nothing better than designing your OWN breakfast combo. We went months ago and still think about it. The staff was helpful, the service was quick, and the Diner is a return-to destination!

Eggs beneffle- Benedict waffle with extra hollandaise

Incredible brunch at @ The Diner visiting a friend. The standard waits are 45-60 minutes and the place is packed but you get a link to see how long you have been waiting, how long the people ahead of you have each been waiting and you can watch the progress. It was SO worth it and we loved everything. The hollandaise was amazing. The service was super friendly, there are SO many options and we even grabbed an extra red velvet waffle to go.

Heading back from a cruise, we wanted a breakfast for the road, and discovered this diner. On a Saturday at 9, it was packed! I love diners and the menu and the style were perfect. Our server was adorable and helpful. She quickly brought our drinks and took our order. We didn't wait long at all for our order. The menu is extensive, with pancakes being their specialty. Not being a sweet breakfast person, I settled on a bacon, egg and cheese bagel sandwich. I got to choose how my egg was cooked so I did over easy. There were red potatoes served on the side. Everything looked great, but I had thought the bagel would be toasted, so that was a little disappointing. The sandwich was good, but toasting would have made it excellent. Overall, service was excellent, nice menu and good food.

Atmosphere - The restaurant is located in a strip mall with lots of parking. There are not many breakfast choices in that area, so it was very busy with quite a few people waiting for a table. As a result, the tables are very close together and the place is very noisy. Service - Despite how busy it was the service was great. Food - I ordered a combo of scrambled eggs, fried potatoes and a pancake. Everything was served hot and was very good. Value - my wife ordered a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel. Our total bill (including coffee) was around $40 (including a 20% gratuity), which I consider high for such basic meals. Thus, a 4 star rating, not 5

This breakfast restaurant is one of the best breakfast restaurants around. The food, atmosphere, and service is amazing!. In regards to the food, we got the bennyffle, cinnamon swirl pancake, macadamia nut pancake, and the butter beer latte. The food was fantastic! The service and atmosphere was wonderful. This just added to the experience. next line, I would definitely come here again when I visit Orlando.

Very very yummy! How nice to find a yummy restaurant with a plethora of GF options which are also just as yummy! The restaurant is cozy with aromas which are sure to make you hungry and the meal didn't disappoint. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back when in town.

This was my first stop for breakfast after taking a red eye flight into MCO Airport. It was located in the Lake Cay Commons at Universal Blvd and Destination Pkwy. The staff here was nice and friendly. After I was seated, I ordered coffee and their grilled ribeye & eggs with potatoes and rye toast. Although the steak was sliced quite thin, it was well seasoned and delicious. This was a nice spot for breakfast. I will probably have to come here again on future visits to the Orlando area.

We stopped by on our way home from a weekend getaway. We wanted to end our trip on a good note, so we decided to stop at @ The diner! This was our first visit to this particular location. The place is very clean and well decorated. It's an open floor with a view to the kitchen! We arrived and were sat in less than 15 minutes with a party of 4. Our waiter was great and took great care of us, even when the placed became extremely busy around 10ish. You can't go wrong with anything you order from their menu and at times, chosing what to order is the biggest challenge. I highly recommend this stop!

Found this place on a whim. Great service, delicious food, good prices, big portions. We ordered the chicken breakfast waffle taco and chicken and waffles. Everything was very well seasoned. Chicken for the chicken and waffles was crispy and juicy. Waffle taco was packed with eggs and toppings. Definitely check out @ The Diner if you're staying in or near Seaworld and International Drive.

Coming from NJ I was initially reluctant to try a place named called Diner, but this is more of a nice brunch spot. Food was great, especially the waffles. Ordered street tacos, which consisted of pork carnitos with a waffle as the taco shell. Was a great combo. In particular the cilantro based sauce was delicious. Was a fairly solid portion. Tried some of the chicken and waffles too, which was legit. Can tell why its popular.

We loved this place. The service is great and the food is so delicious and hearty. Did I mention they have bottomless mimosas? Loved this spot!

We tried this place for brunch and were seated right away. Service was quick too. Ambiance is nice. We ordered their Tex mex and veggie omelettes. They come with toast and side of potatoes or French fries. The food was great and portions were big too. We also tried their pumpkin pecan banana pancakes. It was delicious! See photos of the food below. I would come back here. Food and service were great.

They have grits, but I don't think they have oatmeal.

Do you need reservations for breakfast?

Nope

Are there any gluten free options (pancakes)?

Hi.. Our apologies but we do not offer a sampler.

There is an extensive cocktail and moonshine menu as well. I wish there were some interesting mocktails too but it seems they do not have any. The blueberry buckle was good although a bit dry in places where the vanilla glaze and fresh blueberries helped. I do wish the mint had been more incorporated into the dish rather than just as a garnish. I broke apart the mint and sprinkled it across the cake and really liked the additional flavor. The short hash was also very good, with a kick that the server did warn us about. As always, servings are big so we took home leftovers.

Let's focus on the positives first: the atmosphere is incredibly fun and the live music Saturday night was a perfect touch at the bar. There were plenty of fun activities for the kids and there was an all-you-can-eat buffet for the kids with fried chicken and shrimp, macaroni and cheese, fries, and red velvet cupcakes. $25 is a deal if your child would chow down on shrimp, but it might not be a great deal if your child is usually full after four bites. Our server was absolutely fantastic, friendly and very attentive. We started off the dinner with some fantastic deviled eggs and a lemon cello cocktail. I ordered the shrimp and grits and was really disappointed with the tiny, overcooked shrimp and crawfish that accompanied the slightly bland grits. The shrimp on the kids buffet was at least four times larger than the sad little shrimp in my dish. I think the sausage was cut into smaller chunks just so it wouldn't be so obvious how small the shrimp was. My husband didn't love his heirloom tomato salad and said the Wagyu appetizer was disgusting. Dessert was mediocre. The macarons that accompanied my crème brûlée were stale and chewy. This is a fun spot for a drink and appetizer, but I would skip eating dinner at Highball & Harvest.

Not ideal when you're starving, but once we got to the table, the experience really picked up. The staff was friendly, attentive, and checked in on us often throughout the meal. I ordered the Tractor Driver Combo to share, and it was more than enough food for two people (honestly, probably could have fed three!). We went with scrambled eggs, bacon, added a side of turkey sausage, and a vanilla waffle--everything was delicious and cooked just right. One small thing that stood out was that someone came around taking photos of our table and offered to sell them to us at the end. It felt a little unexpected, but I assume that's part of the touristy Orlando experience. Overall, it was a great spot for a hearty meal with generous portions and friendly service. If I'm back in the area, I'd definitely return and try something else on the menu--everything we saw coming out of the kitchen looked just as good.

However, it is quite fun, when we got there on a Saturday night, they were having a Taylor Swift look alike performance. I absolutely loved it. It turned out it was happening every hour so we were able to watch her perform twice. They also had someone selling jewelry and an artist painting, overall it is such a fun vibe. If you want a standard table, you need to make a reservation, I made a reservation like 15 minutes before and they only had outdoor seating and high tops available. We chose a high top and it was fine. They do have a kids menu so my son was able to order a cheese pizza with a side of fries and the other one ordered a chicken quesadilla with a side of fruit. On the kids menu it says cheese quesadilla but he really wanted chicken, I was surprised the chicken was a bit spicy. He ate a couple bites and then asked for his own cheese pizza after seeing his brothers. All the plates are meant to be shared so they come out whenever they're ready. My older son's cheese pizza came out immediately and then my younger son's chicken quesadilla came out after all our food had been delivered. I think this is what made him want a cheese pizza because he didn't have his own meal for majority of the time we were eating. When we finally ordered his cheese pizza it then took a long time to come out. I'm guessing it's because it's woodfired and his pizza was behind a ton of other pizzas whereas with my older son we must've ordered at a good time. My absolute favorite dish was the marinated cucumbers. It was a light and delicious. It reminds me of what I find at a Japanese restaurant. I also got the butter chicken, it was OK. I didn't find the chicken super tender so I would skip it next time. We also got the maple glazed chicken wings. I found the breading to be overly salty. I ended up taking off all of the breading and my younger son ate a ton of the chicken. I would skip it next time. We got the steak skewers, which were pretty delicious. Again didn't love it so probably would get something else next time. My husband did not like his ribs so he definitely should skip that next time. So overall, the food was OK, but my kids absolutely destroyed their pizza and I love the atmosphere, which is why I'm giving this place four stars. I see that it has great potential. If parking is a problem, I recommend parking at icon park and walking because it's about five minutes away. Our server was super nice, she was a bit slow, but she also had a giant table next to us, which could've contributed to that. I would definitely come back. I enjoyed our experience here.

The empanada came LOADED with shredded beef and this empanada didn't skimp out on quality. It tastes so good when you dip it with the green sauce and it was chef's kiss. Cons- There is ALWAYS a weird perm smell when you go. It literally smells like someone is perming their hair, so not good. Another con is sometimes it takes long to get your food. And last but not least, I think their prices are not reasonable lately. Some of the prices do not match their menu, not sure when they raised their prices but I have never ever heard of a patacon costing almost $26 anywhere, and I frequent a lot of Venezuelan spots. Their name went from Q'Kenan restaurant to Q'Kenan Steakhouse so maybe now they just raised all the prices, I don't know. Their most expensive patacon on the menu is the one with Picańha and it says $17...yet I got charged 25.90. Regardless of how good something is, there shouldn't be a $9 difference from what is on the menu. That is absurd. On my last trip- $43 for an empanada, tequeńos and a patacon just doesn't sound right for Venezuelan food, and I come from living in Miami where restaurants are supposed to be more expensive. Add a tip and you're paying over $50 for street food. That's wild.
