Moving is stressful. Even more so when one of your employees is rude and unhelpful and gives false…read moreinformation. My children picked up a large vehicle from this location to move to Rhode Island. We were up into early morning hours packing the truck and were exhausted. I was asked to return the unused , unopened blankets to this location (a half hour's drive from me). Upon arriving at the store I asked an employee standing outside where I could drop them off. She looked up the contract and then informed me I could not drop them but they should have gone on the truck north. I explained that the kids were already on the road and that was impossible. She replied that it was too bad because it was "company policy" and that we would be charged for missing blankets (over $54) at the RI destination. I replied that I thought that was not a very good corporate policy and asked to speak to a manager. That must have offended her because, her voice got louder as she told me she WAS the manager and that the company policy was fine. She kept taking over me repeating over and over rudely that the "policy was fine. " I finally lost my temper and told her to shut up and let me talk. She then continued ranting, refusing to let me interject and called me rude, over and over in an out of control manner. I drove away and immediately called UHaul customer service. THANKFULLY they calmly assisted me. They had me return the blankets to the Tropicana Field location (closer to my home anyway). They put notes in the contract so the RI branch knew my kids were not to be charged. At the Tropicana Field location, the owner of that branch printed out the contract for me and gave me all the phone numbers I needed to make sure my transaction was complete and the General Manager, EBONY CLARK's behavior was reported. She definitely needs more training in customer service and listening and trying to assist customers instead of escalating their stress. I would highly recommended using one of the other branches.

Showed up and they said the have no trucks. Told them I am moving and had movers scheduled - they said "we have no trucks" and to call the 800 number. This location was ZERO help and were indifferent to the problem I had. Clearly this has happened before, and they had no intention of helping. Called the 800 number, which was overseas. Talked to them and was told the inventory manager would email or call within 2 hours. I had movers scheduled in an hour. Received an email about 30 minutes later (no phone call) saying my reservation had been moved to Hudson, FL. They want me to drive almost 90 minutes EACH WAY to pick up a truck, and then pay the mileage there and back. Had to scramble to get a Penske truck down the road. The reviews are accurate. I would avoid this location, and BUDGET, at all costs. There are zero repercussions to this ridiculous business practice, therefore, they won't change. Take your business elsewhere.

A few minutes ago, I got a call from Budget informing me that "since I just made the reservation, I won't have a vehicle for you." Mind you, I have multiple emails confirming and reminding me of the reservation. I told the woman on the phone that I had made the reservation a week ago and she said she hadn't seen it and didn't have a vehicle for me. She started to ask me a question but I decided that it would be better for everyone if I just said goodbye and hung up. Now our whole weekend is messed up because Budget @ 4037 66th St has a shitty manager. I have so many things I'd like to say to them but I don't have the energy. I just hope my reviews will help other people avoid a bad experience.
