Once in a long while I want a smoothie. Something refreshing but not caffeinated. This was handy. Complicated menu with lots of add-ons, but I wanted basics, just juice really, so I picked the Caribbean- I think just banana, strawberry, papaya. They asked if I wanted frozen yogurt, and I asked "will it still be sippable?" She said sure; she should have said "kinda." It was too thick to drink much of for 15 minutes or so. Not a hot enough day for it to melt quickly. Speaking of, this place tries to be "healthy" but it's not very "earth-healthy." Your cup choices are styrofoam or plastic. Who even uses styrofoam anymore? I'm guessing it's used here for insulation. I went with plastic, since it's at least theoretically recyclable. $11 is a lot for what's a fancy milkshake. Though to be fair, it was huge (I got a medium, I think 32oz,) so the price is more reasonable. If you add in extras, it'll climb right quick. Service was good, got in and out fast, and the drink was sweet and refreshing. Not really my kind of place, but it was handy and filled my needs. read more

The manager of this establishment is awful. Karen continuously treats her employees like garbage and wonders why she can't keep any for more than a month. Not only does she not give her underage employees a break which is required by law, if you put in your two weeks notice she'll reduce your pay to minimum wage. Expects you to do your training videos at home and not be paid for training. She also doesn't pay her employees for all hours worked. On top of that, she gossips about her staff to other employees. Went here for a quick vegan dark chocolate banana. It took them over 15 minutes, which is 10 minutes too long, to try to make it. What they made tasted like frozen cocoa powder. Since it was taking too long, I simply asked for my money back. They couldn't figure out how to do that. I talked to the manager, Cory, over the phone. He couldn't get my money back either. This was actually my first time ever coming here. It was early in the morning and I wanted a smoothie with some protein that would satisfy my hunger pangs. They have all sorts of smoothies including fitness blends, wellness blends, slim blends, and blends for kids. Smoothie King isn't so different than any other smoothie place I've ever been in. The only difference is its proximity to my house, which is why I end up here as often as I do. The prices are high, too high for fruit and ice in my opinion, but you won't find them cheaper anywhere close so ponying up for a small strawberry banana every now and then just seems to happen. The menu here is extensive which can be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on how many options you want. Also, they really push the add-ins, and I'm not a fan of powdered health so I get some odd looks when I decline. All that said, the smoothies aren't bad, and on a hot day they're a great alternative to the more fattening ice cream. read more

Smoothies taste pretty good, but the rating reflects the level of service provided here. We order, take a seat and chat for a few minutes. Started noticing people behind us getting their smoothies, so realized I must have to initiate the check out (figured they would call your name since they took it at order). I make my way to the counter, at the end of the line. The server ignores the guy in front of me and calls my name. I pay and leave...then hear the guy who was ignored try to order a smoothie. Server responds "sorry sir, we don't take orders over here. Please go to the other counter to place your order". Did that just happen? The place is now empty, and apparently we have the self anointed smoothie king himself being rigid about where you can order. I love this place, I just hate that it is so far away from my home and my workplace. I usually stop by whenever I am in Gahanna. They have maybe 2 or 3 tables to sit at, but I usually just get my smoothie to go. Smoothie King also offers miscellaneous items, such as supplements and protein bars and powder. I've never seen more than two people working at a time, so if you are pressed for time and in a hurry, you'd better skip out. read more

I like the $5 Mondays. Great deal! Every one at this Smoothie King is usually pretty friendly. I like that SK has a rewards system if you download their app. (Check it out) if you scan your code every time you'll start earning right away. Drinks are made fairly quickly and are always great quality. My only suggestion would be; when you have the add enhancers buy 2, get 1 free or wherever it may be. It would be nice if it counted for 2 drinks you're buying instead of one. Due to that I usually end up not buying as many as I could to get one free. read more

I came in and was the only person there. Ordered my 20 Spinach vegan smoothie. Another woman came in after me and ordered a 32 oz smoothie. First movie not only came out before mine oh, and she completely had left the parking lot before I even received mine. My smoothie unlike the one I received at the Reynoldsburg location was not only pasty but it was tasteless. You can see the bottom of the cup where there's white powder and this fruit or spinach that was not completely mixed up. I want to believe the first girl made it and didn't do it right so someone else had to come in and make it for her. The whole problem I have with Smoothie King in Columbus Ohio is oh, from location to location you can order the same thing from Polaris to Reynoldsburg now even Gahanna and you will never ever get the same smoothie twice. Sad part is oh, this is the only real smoothie place in Ohio and they missed the mark every single time. Walking into to Smoothie King I was struck by how colorful the store is. Eye candy ads with brilliant colors make me want to buy organic snacks because they look so fun.The menu is varied, every fruit you can think of married to others in a 20 oz cup. Options to add up to three of their extra shots without changing the flavor inspired me to add an energy boost AND a multivitamin to my drink. I like the pina colada smoothie and appreciated Tyler, the attractive man manning the counter, letting me know my drinks can be made with a natural sugar that takes off 100 calories. I once witnessed two employees mimicking a customer as he had a few questions (and he could hear them!). Consistently great. I typically (and conveniently) only tend to show up when they are not very busy. Order quickly, and it's always the same great smoothie. Okay so I had given this place a pretty negative review at one point due to the customer service that I received at my first visit. I have since been back to the shop pretty regularly and each time I have been back I have been greeted by the actual owners of the establishment and given high quality attention and service. I said in a quick tip I believe that this is the Smoothie King establishment that I would rather frequent than any other. The owners there know my name and even to the extent of knowing what is my favorite smoothie. I love going here and as a matter of fact will be heading that way once I am done meeting with a client. First of all, when I order three smoothies without protein (when I specifically asked them at least six times to not put protein powder in the smoothies) I expect to get smoothies without protein. Unfortunately this was not the case. I just love spending money on something that I didn't want. So, in the trash went the three 20oz smoothies. While here, I met the husband and wife who own this joint. I usually try to stay away from chains and companies, and support smaller businesses, but I found myself supporting residents of Gahanna.
