I usually don't like leaving bad reviews, but customer service is everything, and unfortunately my experience today was disappointing. I placed a smoothie order through the Smoothie King app, which stated that my order would be ready within 10-15 minutes. I arrived after the 15-minute timeframe expecting it to be ready for pickup, only to have to wait another 10 minutes in the store. It was a Friday morning, and there was only one employee handling the orders, which clearly seemed to contribute to the delay. On top of that, my order was made incorrectly. What's even more frustrating is that this has happened with this same employee before. I let it slide the first time, but after experiencing the same issue again, I feel it needs to be addressed. JC, please take the time to learn how to properly handle orders and work under pressure without sacrificing accuracy. Mistakes happen, but when the same issue happens repeatedly, it becomes a customer service problem. I've been a customer and normally enjoy Smoothie King, but today's experience was frustrating and disappointing. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works with the staff to improve both order accuracy and customer service. read more

I visited the Smoothie King location on Alton Road in Miami Beach, Florida on Monday, 2/26/24, around 10:30 AM. I decided to order the 32 oz Pineapple Surf smoothie, which came with Strawberries, Pineapples, Kiwi Apple Juice Blend, Turbinado, and Dairy Whey Blend. I requested for the beverage to be prepared thick. The associate made it perfectly. The smoothie was truly refreshing and flavorful. I also appreciated the quick, pleasant customer service. The guy making my order was on the phone and talking, but made my order fast. The price is decent for a small size smoothie. These days everywhere they ask outrageous prices for smoothies. I had an amazing experience this morning. I'll explain. I stopped coming to this location 8 months to a year ago. I stopped coming here because the "general manager" tried to cheat me on a Friday deal they have. I declined the deal but she insisted and charged me more than my oder would have been. It's one thing to offer but when I declined she should have accepted. Instead this lady literally overcharged me and then couldn't figure out how to return my money. What kind of general manager doesn't know simple POS function? I returned today craving a smoothie king and praying that Raquel would no longer be working there. Lady Luck was on my side today. I met Jeidy who gave me a warm friendly greeting. She helped me update my app and place my order to get exactly what i wanted. She was super friendly and I can't wait to go back again. Ok first of all we hadn't been here, second of all he didn't have his glasses so he couldn't see what was in that one. He didn't know. She could have just smiled and said that is this blah blah. I have to admit that I'm somewhat addicted to this place. Usually I try to make smoothies at home, just to save money, but... this is just so easy, and their selection is HUGE. (Of course, I always get the same thing, a Muscle Punch w/no turbinado, but I just like knowing I have options when the mood strikes.) It's not cheap (about $7.50 for a medium, 32 oz) but given that it's fresh and fast and, in my opinion, can equal a meal, I think it's a good value. I also appreciate the fact that they list all their nutrition facts and offer the smoothies w/o added sugar (i.e. w/o turbinado). Make sure you get a punch card, if you intend to go regularly. They will give you the option of a free small after 10 punches, a free medium after 15, or a free large after 20 punches... let me save you the math and tell you that your best value is to use 15 punches for a medium. Plus, they just extended their hours, opening at 7AM during the week instead of 8... now I don't have to be late to work to enjoy my smoothie! I'm sure my boss will be thrilled. read more

being from SF, we have our choice of a lot of smoothie joints. I was recommended here by a friend, and this was certainly up to par. i think it's slightly higher than jamba juice's pricepoint for similar sizes, but i think it's better than jamba as well though. my mangosteen madness had a very smooth texture, and was very well mixed. overall i'd definitely recommend it to out of town visitors, and by the line, there is certainly no lack of locals either. read more

When entering the smoothie king I anticipated a great smoothie. After all they call themselves "Smoothie King". I was looking forward to a mixed berry smoothie with some whey protein, but what I got was more of a healthful attempt at a 7-eleven style icee-slushy with what tasted like nearly the same sweetness. From my observation, the fruit they use isn't fresh, it's a fruit concentrate syrup with some fruit bits in there. There are some strawberries and peaches, but the clerk had to wash them for me with clean water when I expressed some reservation about the sugary syrup and was about to leave. I typically start my day with my home made frozen strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, blackberry and dark cherry (all frozen), some purified water, (homemade) almond milk or coconut water as the base, then add a tad of vanilla extract, a bit of stevia and some Whey protein. Blend it up on high speed in my Vita-Mix and whallah! A real fruit smoothie. But the Smoothie King's blueberry syrup, raspberry syrup with a few bits of raspberry and drained-washed strawberries were still filled with added sugar. They whey protein helped to reduce the quick uptake of the added sugar, but when it was all said and done, it was nearly as sweet as I remember soda being. A smoothie, yes, but calorie ridden, filled with sugar and far from healthful. Guys (Smoothie King owners)...I'm looking for a real fruit smoothie, nice an ice concoction with fruit concentrate syrups. C'mon now. I agree with a reviewer below, I just don't get the Smoothie King hype. One thing I can say that differs from the rest is that the store was very clean, the young lady was very nice and accommodating (she tried to make it healthier for me but just didn't have the real fruit necessary). So, I spent about $10 bucks for something I drank half of and threw away. It was just too sweet... And, remember, I had all the syrup washed from the "fruit". So as far as getting a healthful smoothie, I'll leave that for my homemade vitamix concoction, Whole Foods (the one thing whole foods really does right is their fruit smoothies) or Athens Juice Bar. The staff currently working here are the sweetest. I go for a lunch smoothie or a pre workout smoothie and they have me in and out of there in minutes. They are all very friendly and greet you with smiles. I wasnt a fan of this whole "$5 Smoothie King thing" but ever since i changed my diet it is a must. I order the Muscle Punch or the Vanilla Slim n Trim. Read the nutritional facts online before you go because some smoothies have more calories than you think. I'm not sure why this place has gotten such good reviews from others. 1. They don't use fresh ingredients. The smoothie they made before mine was a combination of ice, juice, and SYRUPS. Mine was juice, ice, a banana, and "puree." 2. High priced for a "syrup-and-concentrate blended drink" - which I think is a more appropriate name for the product, NOT "smoothie." 3. Not particularly clean or inviting. My smoothie tasted... "eh" so it's not that I had a horrible random experience. I just don't see any real value in the product they are selling.
