It was a beautiful morning yesterday, so I checked Yelp to pick out a brunch spot that we hadn't tried before. Crema had really good reviews, so we decided to try it! It turned out to be a good pick. When we arrived a little after 9:00 am, there was a line out the door! Actually, the line started moving fairly fast, and we placed our orders at the counter and found seating indoors. The line continued for a while and then slowed down. My daughter ordered a 2 egg omelet with ham and cheese and a side of bacon. I ordered the Avocado Toast and added a sunnyside up egg. We both ordered hot mocha lattes. Everything tasted very good. Our server was Maria Ana, who was very nice and helpful with a beautiful smile! I would also like to commend Angel, who was very helpful not only to us but also to anyone who arrived at the door by handing out menus to look at while they waited in line. This location is inside the Faena Bazaar with more outdoor seating than indoor, but both are very pleasant. We were working at the Faena forum for a week and ordered Crema regularly and it did not disappoint. Want to give a huge shout out to them for their customer service. We had issues ordering online so we sent someone from our team to order in person. Due to the switch, some orders were placed incorrectly on our end. They were SO accommodating when some of the issues couldn't be ignored, for example due to allergies, and swapped things out no questions asked. We really appreciated them making our lives easier and not giving us a hard time. A few of the things we ordered with some thoughts - -Open faced breakfast sandwich 10/10 so good. The bread is slightly sweet but I would eat this every day for breakfast if I could! -Piña colada power juice - tasted too much like protein powder and was chalky. I wouldn't get it again! 3/10 -Croissant with ham and cheese was good, just needed some type of condiment 8/10 (same with the croissant breakfast sandwich) -oatmeal was not our fave - super dry and dense and kind of felt like something you'd get at the airport 5/10 -potatoes: 10/10 my coworker got these regularly lol -cookies 10/10 THEY ARE SO GOOD! -chicken caesar was classic and good - we added a lot of dressing! 9/10 Definitely will be back and truly appreciate them and their hospitality. We were at the Palms hotel just a few blocks down for a retreat and needed some breakfast before everyone headed home. We walked to Crema and it's a blink and you'll miss it! But it is in the Faena area so lots of buildings with that name are around it. It was nice and air conditioned inside but the number of tables in there was few. They had a side alley of tables and a little courtyard shared with a boutique with umbrellas and fans which would have to be good enough to keep us cool in the Miami humidity and heat. We each ordered and made our way to the courtyard. I decided to go with the breakfast sandwich, detox juice, and a chocolate croissant. They give you numbers to set on your table and they bring it out to you. The food came out relatively quickly and wow, was this a hearty portion! The breakfast sandwich was twice the size that I expected in such a wonderful way. It was a pressed panini BLT with scrambled eggs and cheddar cheese. The bread was fresh and had a nice crisp crunch on the edges. The detox power juice had celery, kale, green apple, and spinach and had that perfect tartness to get me going. I ended up taking the chocolate croissant home but it was packed with chocolate and you could see how beautifully crafted it was with its ribbed top and lightly topped with powdered sugar. It was easy to get a to go box since my order was much larger than anticipated. As I went throughout Miami before leaving I noticed quite a few locations around. I got the Iced Lavender Latte w/oat milk and it was the perfect way to start the day. Not too sweet but has the aromatic lavender taste. For breakfast I got the Açaí bowl with peanut butter.
