I saw in the reviews many had trouble with curbside. So my companion went in to order the drinks. This was our first time having a Smoothie King drink so we didn't really know what to pick. I used their online questionnaire and was led to the Pure Recharge line of drinks. I was dubious because of the powders they add. I haven't liked any of the powders you can buy to use at home (and believe me my brother has tried them all!) However, other than a slight, slight texture difference it tasted just as good as the ones we make at home. And I could tell I felt the pick me up promised by the Pure Recharge line. I also got to try my companion's Pineapple Surf and while I wasn't as fond of the milky texture compared to the ice texture of my drink it was still really tasty and the powder was well hidden. He really enjoyed it too which is what matters most. It was pricey considering I can make these at home but for the size we were still quite happy. And it was really great to find a pick me up right when we were flagging in the middle of shopping. read more

I have come to this location multiple times and I always order the Peanut Power Plus. This last visit I ordered as usual and was given a drink that didn't taste like the normal peanut Power Plus. I went back and explained that it didn't taste like it had peanut butter and it seemed like it wasn't thick like normal. I politely asked if I could get one remade and this is what I got. The girl who served me said she made it right the first time and that I was wrong. Then when she gave me the remade smoothie I spilled it all over myself in the car while trying to drink it. I love Smoothie King and been coming here since the mid 90s in Metairie. I always get a smoothie and "naturally delicious" bread. THIS location at THE RIM does not have a microwave to heat up the bread. I hope the franchisee takes note so your rating can go back up. I wanted something similar to a pineapple milkshake, and she was able to recommend a few different drinks that matched what I was looking for. I hadn't been to Smoothie King in a while but they sent me an offer for Buy 1, Get 1 Free thru their app. I went to this location and long story short, ended up getting charged for two smoothies with $2 off. I reached out to their third-party rewards program operator, the Smoothie King home office and a few days later I ended up calling the store. The third party rewards program operator was completely clueless. They told me they couldn't honor the promotion because it was for that day only and I was looking at the computer thinking this is why you should READ emails and NOT SKIM them. When I called the store I spoke to a young girl and I asked for the manager and she told me she was the assistant manager. She sounded all of like 16/17. I explained what happened and she immediately responds with "OMG that happened to someone else last night too!" And instead of offering to process a refund, she tells me to stop by and they'll give me another Buy One, Get One Free coupon. Mind you, we tried this before and it didn't work and yet I'm supposed to give you more business and trust you'll have it together the second time around? Onto the actual smoothie experience, I ordered two gladiators -- both ordered the same, strawberries, pineapple and yogurt. Somehow we don't understand same ingredients because the vanilla had no strawberry. I thought if it was fresh strawberry maybe it was just mixed in but nope. None. It was also not blended well. The bottom 1/4 of the cup is all one block of ice, protein, fruit etc. The strawberry one was made the way it should've been and that one as good (they caught that it was too thick in the store and put it back in the blender though). Lastly, when it comes to staffing, stop hiring kids. Pay a respectable wage and get professionals in there. I came here within 15 minutes of closing and because of that promotion you had a lot of people coming in last minute. The girl behind the counter was catching all kinds of attitude and at one point she turned customers away and started talking trash about them loudly enough for everyone (including the customers in the store) to hear and her co-workers were chiming in with her. read more
