We had such an amazing time at Smugglers Cove Adventure Golf in Sarasota! There was plenty of free parking behind the place when we arrived, which made things super easy. The staff was so friendly right from the start, and we loved that you can even buy gator food and feed the alligators--such a fun, unique touch! We've probably played at 15-20 mini golf courses from Florida to Massachusetts, and honestly, this one ranks at the very top. I can't even decide what I loved more--the creative course design or the beautiful tropical landscaping. And as if that wasn't enough, they'll deliver alcohol, snacks, and beverages while you play... yes, please! This place really felt special. My late Aunt Cindy V lived in the area for many years, and I know she probably loved this spot too. Her dog Jaxx is happy and sometimes visits us here in Florida if anyone wants to say hi! I love mini golf and I always enjoy going on vacation whenever I can! I saw Smugglers's was listed under best mini in the area, and I've never been to this side of FL before, but by far was this the best mini golf here! No wait to get in at all and absolutely beautiful course!! Everyone working here was so friendly, to the woman at the front desk (I wish I knew her name), and to another employee (I think his name was Aerus, but I don't know if I'm remembering or spelling it right)! He was very talktative and helpful, especially since I had my suitcase with (I had to pick up my rental car at the airport, but misjudged the time, and ended up having to take my suicase to mini golf.. long story... but everyone was very accomodating of this and found a safe spot for my luggage). Also, Aerus took a great of me feeding the alligators. This was really cool, because I've never done anything like this and I loved having this experience, and Aerus made it so memorable for me. read more

Excellent customer service! We decided to take the kids for mini golf and this location was the closest to us, a 50 min drive. The place was super clean, very friendly staff and our kids got to feed that alligators after our play. I would definitely be back! I didn't realize how close to the ocean this location is so I will have to check out local places to eat lunch next time! Some of the passages are quite narrow and bumpy though, so I would not recommend to people with mobility issues. My group had 2 holes in 1!! My wife son and I went to Snugglers Cove to play a round of mini golf. The place was packed but what an enjoyable time we had. We paid for a round of golf, purchased some beers and gator food. Yes, gator food. There were a few families waiting to start the first hole so we decided to feed the gators. It was a hokey but fun experience. We took pictures and videos of each other feeding the gators. You use a pole with a line and a clip to put the food pellet on. Then drop the line into the water. The gators actually leap to the food on the line. We started playing golf and it was a fun time. Most holes are a par 2 which is fine. The holes have different obstacles and they give you a hint on how to play each hole as you come up to play them. It moved in a leisurely pace. The staff were very friendly from start to finish. There is a wide variety of soda and beers to choose from. The bathrooms were very clean. I would recommend playing mini golf here. FORE! read more

It was so busy that you would have to wait up way of 5 minutes in between holes. I came here 3 years ago and it was $15 per person and now it's $18 per person. Bottom Line: Well maintained and fun but a bit pricey. My husband and I enjoyed a round of miniature gold at Smugglers Cove in perfect weather - low 70s and low humidity. We had fun playing the 18 hole, par 38 course. The theme isn't overdone and the course is well maintained. There are lots of water features and the landscaping is nice throughout. Miniature gold was about $14 per adult with our $1 off coupon from the Sunday Day magazine. We did not feed the baby gators but that was definitely popular with many others at Smuggler's Cove. read more

Heads up: 1. It is expensive. It's about $17 per person. 2. It gets quite busy with larger parties, so be prepared to wait! Overall, this was a very fun golf course! Each hole was unique and the perfect difficultly level for the average family! It was pirate themed and pretty clean. There were a few features that really made it stand out (especially for adults). You can purchase an alcoholic beverage to take around with you, and there's cup holders at each hole. The holes also had neat little diagrams at the beginning of each one with a suggested ball route. Way overpriced!!! For 4 adults and 1 child to play golf and 2 little bags of dry food to feed the gators we spent over $120!!!! The course is fairly well maintained and clean and a cool concept, but edges of several of the cups aren't level with the turf, which causes the ball to pop out or land right on the edge. No water obstacles. A couple very basic holes. Not handicap accessible (several holes that steep stairs need to be used to carry on with the course) Also, staff was rude when using a leaf blower in the cave areas...said person could not have waited for our group to finish at that particular hole before blowing out a few leaves? They also claim to give a prize for any hole in one...we had 3 in our group and we got to "roll for a chance to win a prize" only once?! Gator area was ok, but nothing special and you can feed gators elsewhere for the same price or less. It was also congested/clogging the entrance/exit when busy. Dump set up. I took my grandson, we had a great time. I thought it was a little pricey, but it was well taken care of and a cool layout.

Very nice course and the staff was very friendly. The down side is the price. Nearly $100 for a family of four to mini golf was ridiculous.

This is a fun little mini-golf place with some challenging holes. Pricing was OK, and they gave a 15% discount for military and retired military if you ask for it. They have a cool system of QR codes at each hole and somehow (we didn't try it) you can order a cold beverage with your phone and they'll bring it out to you. Fun place! read more

What an AWFUL experience. I came here with my dad boyfriend and brother on the last day of my vacation and my dad hurt himself and had a hard time moving around. We were going to have him keep track of the score while we played to prevent him from hurting himself. We go here every time we visit my in-laws and the kids, now aged 11 and 13, always have fun, as do the adults, ages withheld. ;) Feeding the alligators makes this a unique experience as well. This is a great local spot for mini golf and to have fun! They have baby alligators that you can feed. They have a cool little gift shop too. I liked their course, it was fun and interesting. The music they were playing was really cool and right up my alley. One negative is that the parties are limited to 4 people so my group of friends had to split up. I wish they had something cooler for the last hole. $18 for 18 holes is pretty fair. Come stop by if you have a chance. read more

It looks like a decent mini golf course on an off day. However, on this holiday week, they allowed so many large groups to play (5-6 people even though the sign says groups limited to 4), that it took my kid and I 40 minutes to play 7 holes. They will not let you take pictures of your family playing Putt Putt if you don't pay, just for 1 person, they will make you leave the course.
