And it is our favorite because it is exactly what we wanted. With relatives on either coast and us in the middle in Colorado, we are thrilled knowing that even though our family and friends were not in attendance at our wedding, they feel like they experienced it with us! Jason was incredibly flexible when we contacted him to explain that we were moving our wedding up and asked if they'd instead be available in two weeks. He responded promptly to any of our questions. During our initial appointment, we felt he was genuinely interested in us as a couple and what we wanted for our big day. Since we were experiencing the added stress of a compressed timeline, we appreciated the transparency of their pricing and felt confident we knew what we were getting for the investment. In the beginning, we had a concern that being just the two of us, having a photographer would feel "awkward" or "forced." Erin, their partner photographer, was instantly in tune with us: What we wanted out of our pictures, who we were as a couple, and made us feel comfortable the whole way. She offered to meet up at a coffee shop for a trial run, then proceeded to hand draw templates incorporating exactly what I wanted my wedding mehendi to look like. She incorporated portraits of me, my husband, our cat, and favorite animals like elephants and peacocks. Not only is she exceptionally detailed, she is so kind and generous with her time. Anita spent 2 hours during my mehendi trial, 6 hours during doing my mehendi at my house, then another 6 hours doing it for others. She did all this with such a joyful attitude and desire to share her gifts with others. Anita really takes pride in her work, which is evident from the way she makes her own henna cones from natural ingredients and offers multiple versions to avoid allergies. This holds true for your last weeks of pregnancy and first month as a mother. Our baby is now 6 weeks old and looking back at the photos Rachael took when I was 39 weeks pregnant and then again when he was just 2 weeks old already feel like a blur. You are so tired, overwhelmed with emotion, recovering from labor, and trying your best to figure out this new little person in your life that time seems to be permantly on fast forward.
