You know when you go to a nice QuikTrip and feel comfortable, safe, and like everything around you…read moreis pretty clean? Ok now forget that feeling before you pay this Power 66 a visit just to prep yourself. It ain't that. I was running errands and had to stop here for a quick restroom pit stop, and reluctantly made my way in. It's a standard downtown gas station where there's a hodgepodge of cannabis products, cold ones in multiple cases, bulletproof glass for the clerk, and the linoleum floor is kinda waxy and slippery. Now it actually earned a little favor for me because we all know what to expect in a bathroom in this kind of setting, but... it wasn't awful! It was actually kind of clean and easy to access. The other positive is accessible for the West Bottoms and right off the highways. However, if you're on the highway and looking for a stop, I'd just keep on driving another exit or two.

We all know not every gas station can be QT 5 star customer service and cleanliness, but hey...most…read morein KC are not super bad. This one (in my opinion) is a JOKE The weather has been sh*tty; dirty snow and ice is everywhere. Including the inside of their walkway. No, like literally when you open the door there are soaked cardboard pieces w/ snow sludges, mud and salt on them. It was so slippery I had to catch myself from falling. And thinking back on it, I should have just fell and won myself a nice lawsuit bc there is not a wet floor or slippery sign AT ALL Now moving on, I've stopped here a few times and didn't mind it bc I was just grabbing a water or a quick snack (NEVER eat their ice cream btw-don't ask why). Yesterday I grabbed a few things to stock up on, like water and juice and my total was around $25. I used Apple Pay like normal and the clerk told me it kept declining. Eventually I check my account and it had charged me THREE times! I show him my phone and he insists that it didn't go through, hands me a receipt and is very adamant that it will reject on my account and be deposited back within an hour. I take his word for it and paid w/ a different card. 24 hrs later and my bank has posted the charges and now I have to go through an entire hassle of disputing it and providing evidence (the receipts) to get MY money back...which was promised to not be taken in the first place. The gas station clerk refused to help me when I came back today... Let's also keep in mind that before I tried my card again I asked him "what if it charges me twice" he says, very confidently..."oh no, it won't. And if it does...I'm right here." I'm not even sure what that meant bc he did absolutely nothing to help...even after I came back the following day It might sound like I'm just complaining, but the customer service was extremely poor. Also, please don't promise or ensure something that you know you cannot fix or help with Oh...and throw away that makeshift door mat you have in front before someone (like me) "just happens" to fall and break their arm! Having to pay someone thousands of dollars seems less convenient than buying an actual mat for people to wipe their feet on They *should* be cleaning the floors daily, so mopping after tracked in salt and snow shouldn't be a problem anyway

I am a disabled Veteran, and my service dog has been fully trained by a Veteran non-profit organization. Despite this, I was asked by your staff to provide "certification" for my service animal due to food being served. I calmly explained that under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Missouri state law, businesses are not permitted to require certification, identification, or documentation for a service animal. Even after explaining the law, two staff members continued to insist on certification and were dismissive and rude. Their actions made it clear that they were unfamiliar with both federal ADA requirements and Missouri state law regarding service animals. For your reference, Missouri law explicitly states: "A business (public accommodation) may not insist on proof of the certification or identification for a service animal. Some states have certification laws, however, the ADA is the prevailing law." This information is publicly available here: https://disability.mo.gov/files/ServiceAnimalsAllowed.pdf Because of this incident, I will be filing a formal complaint with the State of Missouri. I also expect a written apology and confirmation that your staff will receive proper training on ADA and service animal compliance to prevent this from happening to others in the future. No disabled Veteran--or any individual with a disability--should be subjected to this type of treatment. Sincerely, Daniel
