It was a sunny and cold day when I nearly ran out of gas while out and about in town. Luckily for me this QT was nearby! First of all I in general love QuikTrips since uniformly they tend to be clean, fast, and friendly. While I didn't make it inside this location it was a pretty quick trip. The only issue I had was that it was PACKED, which isn't their fault - if anything this is just a byproduct of them being a great gas station. I did have to drive around a bit to find an open spot to gas up. So, if you stop here be prepared to navigate other drivers to find a spot, but once you do be ready for a standard QT experience. read more

First time coming here. The place isn't bad the thing that I hate and was appalled by the most about coming here was that there was someone that walked in on an 80 degree day with a jacket, unzipped with no shirt under, pants sagging below the knees and you can see this guys underwear. To top it off he was wearing a skee mask and the staff surprisingly let him shop around instead of kicking the dude out for public in decency. I thought I was going to get robbed! Besides that the store isn't bad, staff here is friendly, bathrooms here aren't the best. I guess it's better than the stores across the border. read more

AVOID THIS LOCATION! Very disappointed once again with location. Wanted a hot dog or brat. They had one bun and it was cold and dry. One of their three bun warmers weren't working. That's the one that had the only bun in it that was cold and dry. The had no relish. Their device to keep toppings cool wasn't working, so there were no other toppings for the brat. When I told the man behind the counter, it was obvious that he couldn't have cared in the least, and wasn't even politely sympathetic. This is far from the first time this kind of thing has happened at this location and why only only come here as a last resort. Now that I don't work down the street anymore, this was the final straw, I won't be back. It's not the employees fault, but they could have at least pretended that they cared. I'll go out of my way to stop at a QuikTrip. Their staff is always on point, the spaces easy to get in and out of, and the bathrooms are the cleanest around. This one is A-OK, a fine and worthy gas station. It's got a sneaky-good location in that it's not that far from the Crossroads area, although it might feel like it is. Basically, it's perfect for all the commuters on Southwest Boulevard and not far from I-35 and Rainbow. Nothing about this one stands out any more than the others, although it's massively convenient with a stoplight right out front so you can turn left on a busy road. Pretty standard QT here. It can get really crowded during the day and there aren't too many pumps so you may be waiting. The parking and car flow is also a bit cramped so it's a bit anxiety-inducing to back out and navigate around. Once inside it wasn't the cleanest environment but I'll give 'em a pass since it was quite crowded. They weren't out of any soda at the fountain which is nice and I got my Coke Zero with a pump of vanilla and cherry syrup added. If you are a Coke Zero fan at all you should seriously try it. I also noticed the hot dogs and rollers were well stocked and ready to go. QT's Buffalo chicken rollers are fire. The check out was well staffed too so the line moved quickly. read more

Quick Trip (or "QT" as most people lovingly refer to it) makes me insanely angry. It's like 7-11, which I also despise, only with gas pumps and even more diet coke. What's more is that any convenience store that doesn't sell TP should not even refer to themselves as such. Instead they have about 5 dozen versions of diet sodas. As far as I'm concerned, a convenience store should be selling just the following: paper products seltzer olive oil an Italian red wine blueberries espresso beans eyeliner safety pins dark red lipstick Vogue and that is IT! If there's to be any Joi in convenience stores, that is... I might add that pumping gas is quite the ordeal here, too. I hate to pump gas anywhere, of course, because it's a thoroughly vile necessity, but here I've had to endure the Lowest Common Denominator leering at me because I was wearing provocative footwear (I was driving home from the damn airport and I typically drive barefoot). Goddamn me for not bringing flip flops on this sad day, though. I have a feeling this lowlife likened the whole scenario to a ZZ Top video in his head. Next thing I knew, the fucker was screaming filthy words at me. I so wanted to pull a Reflecting Skin moment on the guy, but I was the beacon of self control that day. read more

Well, I work right next door to this place, but rarely put my life at risk enough to visit here. This place is just too busy... the cars go 1000 different ways and it's just not worth it. Sometimes I will park in the back and use the back door if I'm desperate. This time I stopped for gas just because I happened to catch the place when there were actually available pumps. Watch yourself here. Lock your car even if you are pumping gas. Friends have had people try to get in their cars to grab purses, etc. even when they were standing right at the car. read more

This is my "go to" QT. It's cheap, it's clean and it's conveniently located within five minutes of where I work. As a bonus, since moving the store just across the Missouri State line in 2009, they have some of the best gas prices in the area. Like all QT's, this location offers numerous choices in food and beverages to get you through the morning, fill you up at lunch or (since most are open 24 hours) satisfy that hunger that tends to hit during those late nights. The worst thing about this location is the traffic, and I don't mean Southwest Boulevard. As anyone who has been to this location can easily verify, this QT is almost always packed and the lot, while large, often does not feel large enough. This makes for some interesting maneuvering and, if you're not comfortable backing up, could leave you a little stressed. Ultimately it's not enough to keep me away or make me consider going elsewhere, but it's something to keep in mind. Cheap, convenient, clean and friendly ... what else do you need? read more

QuikTrip - Gas Stations Near Me - Kansas City, Missouri

As QuikTrips go, this one is pretty average. The staff is always nice and timely. There's never a problem getting through the line in the store. The parking lot is horrible though. There is usually angry people trying to navigate it. It's at a crossroad so it can be a bother getting in and out. The prices are reasonable though & I was glad that they had a gas can that I was able to purchase when I ran out of gas. read more

I wish we had a QT back home. I love going to them. They have so much to pick from. All kinds of hot and cold food, all kinds of cold drinks or fountain drinks. I just wish they had a larger travel section, like if you forget something. read more

***QuickTrip seems to be a popular gas station / convenience store in the Kansas City area; it was quite busy, but the store seemed very well prepared with many gas pumps, free (of course) parking spots and cashiers; they had a wide variety of chips and candy (though some of the bags of Chex Mix-esque snacks had a little bit of dust on them)*** As mentioned, many free parking spots are available if you are looking to just pick up a snack or drink. read more

I do love QuikTrip but it is 50/50 if it is going to be a Quick Trip. Most of the QT's are easy to get in and out of but this one, not so much. It is always busy and you have to wait for a pump always. Someone will likely cut you off to get to the pump or someone that can't drive will try and back into a pump. It is funny to watch but annoying if you are in a hurry. There is usually an off duty cop standing there. This QT tends to get robbed and I have seen people selling all sorts of items being sold out of car trunks here. I go here because the gas is cheap and I do like QT. I just wish this one was faster. read more

Quiktrip hotdog with chili and mustard - Better than most restaurant lunches in KC, and 1/10 the price. And now they have CHILI for they dogs! Chicago hoity-toity dog snobs can all kiss my behind, because QT dogs are better than all that mess. The worst thing about Quiktrip? They don't have Necco Wafers, the best candy Jah has given to mankind for his enjoyments. I have to knock 'em down a star for no Necco Wafers. read more

Holy cow is this an awful QT! I absolutely love QT from both a customer and business-nerd standpoint (their business model is truly fascinating), but I will never step foot in this QT again unless I really, really, really, really need to. Let's just clarify that it's not so much the stepping inside that's bad. Inside, it's truly just your standard QT - questionable but delicious rotating meats, beverages to your hearts content, all the snacks you could need, decent sandwiches at a fair price, and friendly service. It's the "getting to the opportunity to step inside" that's bad. The parking lot at this place is atrociously horrible. Some QT's are bad, but this one is just truly the worst. It reminds me of the time I had to drive through Tokyo at rush hour...not fun. First off, if you need some gas, good luck getting it without a wait at any time around an hour that could possibly be considered a fringe rush hour. However, let's just say you want to run in, grab a quick product, and get out without gas, much like my recent visit....that's even worse! Because with all of the people waiting to get the gas, many of the thoroughfares around the parking lot are blocked or very tight. It literally took me 2-3 minutes to get the 150 feet from Southwest Blvd to a parking spot. I am not kidding. And trying to back out of my spot after I went inside? Another 2 minutes. I recently went on what I'd call a high school lunch date here and loved the experience. They recently expanded the number of buffalo rollers they put out so you'll never have one that sat out too long, or God forbid they run out of those. My date got the hot dog, then between chips peanuts and drinks we got outta there for $7. We then had a romantic seat in my car as we listened to the radio and people watched. This QT in particular is the reverse of the standard because it straddles the state line, and Missouri is better for alcohol sales. Hit them up for their UMB ATM as well! read more

I'm pretty sure that if you hate QT, you hate America. Do you want to hate America, commie?! QT has everything a gas station needs and then some. An island of roller meats greets you when you walk in, there are donuts, tons of snacks and drinks and all the other crap you need. If you are stoner, I'm pretty sure QT would be your heaven. Or it might be your hell, because how could you ever decide on something... QTs are always clean and efficiently run and the lines move. About the only complaint is that they can be BUSY. the parking lots & pumps tend to be packed. This location is ALWAYS busy. But again, they keep things moving, things are stocked... Oh, and if you shop at Price Chopper, you can earn reward points that get you discounts on gas. That is always handy. read more

Good luck during rush hour, morning or evening. There's something complicated about the location of this QT. People are pretty aggressive with getting to a pump and backing out is almost impossible. There's not much space for waiting in line on a pump which I guess could cause the issues. Hey, there's parking around back too! It's a normal QT otherwise. Not a one stall bathroom...that'd be terrible for such a busy place. If you're a nervous driver, pass up this location...you'll be a wreck, maybe literally. read more

I drive a lot and Quik Trip is the beacon in the night when it comes to fountain drinks, hot chocolate, and clean restrooms. Usually. The management changed some at this location and I have noticed a decline in the cleanliness of bathrooms since then. Maybe it's because it's so crazy busy here all the time. Good luck trying to find a gas pump that doesn't have 3 cars in line. It's cutthroat when it comes to the pumps and people will steal a spot from you in the blink of an eye or damn near run you over trying to. The parking lot is tight. I used to always be able to count on the back parking lot for an open space but not anymore. People park along the curb and sometimes it's close to impossible to get out if you park behind the building. I find myself avoiding this location more even though it is the most conveniently located for me. I would suggest lots of patience if you go during the day or wait until 11 pm if you don't want to pull your hair out. read more
