Bought some Nike Roshes from Goodwill a few months back that had a hole in the toe area. I forgot…read moreto take a before picture. Brought them in to have them looked at. The shoe artisan offered to get it done within a hour which I appreciated. Picked them up and was happy with the outcome! It was sowed with the same colored material. For $15 I thought that was a fair deal. Staff was great, very accommodating, and welcoming! I'd come back again for my shoe repairs!

I wanted to support a local small business, and I understand that mistakes can happen. I paid for…read morethe work, thanked them, and did not ask for a refund. However, based on my experience, I will not be returning. I brought in a bag to have two zipper sliders replaced because the pull tabs had broken off. About a week and a half later, I received a text stating that the zipper itself was ripped and needed to be replaced at an additional cost of $130. The problem is that the zipper was not ripped when I dropped the bag off. The damage is very noticeable and is located directly on the zipper track. It would have been obvious to both me and the shop during intake if it had already existed. The bag is older, so my assumption is that the zipper may have torn during the slider replacement process. Had the shop simply told me that, I would have understood. What bothered me was being told the damage was pre existing and then being presented with a $130 upsell after already paying $45 for the original repair. Considering the bag can be purchased new for around $100, the recommendation made even less sense to me. I paid the bill and picked up my bag, but I left disappointed. From many of the reviews, it sounds like the previous owner built an excellent reputation over many years. Unfortunately, my experience under the current ownership did not reflect the level of service I was expecting. I sincerely hope future customers have a better experience than I did or read this review in time to choose another repair shop.

I requested a quote from The Shoe Shop regarding cleaning my luxury Tote & got a response within…read morethe hour asking me to stop by so it could be assessed. The Owner, Mike suggested I take it back to the store where I purchased it to ensure the safeguarding of the original material. I appreciated that as opposed to being told "let me try and see how it turns out". Due to that type of customer service, I decided to get the protection soles added to the heels of a new pair of sandals. I was surprised that they were ready to go within 2 days. Not only was the quality & workmanship easily seen, yet the price point was also within my budget. I'll definitely return for other upkeep of certain shoes & handbags.

Kinda disappointed with this place. First let's talk about the price. I asked for a quote for 3…read moresmall bags, & 8 shoes. The initial price estimate for the job was between $100-$200. Then it went to $275 when I came actually into the store. Then because I did a deposit instead of paying outright ($200 down, the rest when the job's finished). Gave me my order ticket and it said I have a balance of $125. ($50 more). So my total went from $200 (estimate) to $275 (what the shopkeep told me) to $325 (Because... who knows) . Then I tried to pick up my items on Thursday June 8th at 5:47pm but they were already closed. Hours say from 6:30 am-6pm. So I came back again today (Friday) to retrieve my items. Paid off the rest of my (overpriced) balance and this is the end result of their work. Scuff marks, dried up crust, dirt in crevices. This is not $325 work If you're going to charge premium prices, make sure the quality of your work backs it up. Really wished I paid with a card because I would have DISPUTED this with my bank. Beware!
