My family went to this office for about six years because my boys loved their pediatrician. We initially started going based on a referral but soon regretted it. Before finding the doctor we loved, we had several bad experiences with other providers there -- one even made rude comments about my parenting choices, calling me "selfish" for co-sleeping and saying my kids could "die" because I chose to space out their vaccines. Once our pediatrician moved to another office, the quality of care declined quickly. They referred the wrong child to the ENT -- even though one of my sons was the one with severe sleep apnea. It became nearly impossible to get the correct paperwork for school; they'd say it was sent, but it never was, and they couldn't verify it. Wait times in the lobby were manageable, but we'd often be stuck waiting in a room for up to an hour before being seen. The front desk and staff seem disorganized and disconnected, and overall, it just doesn't feel like anyone really cares. I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone. I genuinely hope it's replaced by a team that values families and pays attention to their patients' needs. read more

Worst office I ever been to for anything, waiting over a hour for a children to be seen, GHETTO !

My twins have been going here since birth (9yrs). It's has been great until recently. The office is very dirty now. The hold time to make an appointment is insanely long and don't even try to talk to a nurse! I have been on hold for over an hour and just gave up a few times. They sent meds to the wrong pharmacy and without complete instructions for the pharmacist to fill. I have even have had them sent meds under my daughter's name when it was for my son. This place has gone way down hill and we will be moving! read more

This office could care less about patients. They care about their money. Dr fotion is perhaps the only saving gem. He spends time with his patients but the office doesn't know how to book, so he's always late. They make you wait hours. I'm talking 3 hours when my daughter was on oxygen. They seem to have lost what is important in healthcare, the patient. I understand you have to make money but making your patients wait so long is not the way. Also it would be great if people introduced themselves. Hi I'm "blank" I'm one of the nurses, I'm going to be getting height and weight. Please stop being disrespectful to your patients time, your doctors are good, but it's hard to see that if you are overbooking them. read more

Terrible. The wait for the doctor was more than 1hr for a physical. It took long to get our name called too. Our appointment was at 11. We got here @11:02 and the doctor came in about 12:30 to tell us she was finishing up another patient before she got to us. We didn't get seen until 12:40. read more

My daughter is 3 and she's been going here since she was born. It wasn't my first choice for a pediatrician office because in all the asking around I did, no one EVER recommended them. But I decided to go with this office mainly due to the convenient location just in case we ever needed an emergency appointment we didn't wanna have to drive too far. As some others have commented, long wait times have been an issue here, but I have seen some improvement at my last 2-3 visits. We started out seeing Dr. Dunagan the same week my daughter was born. She's super sweet, very nice, but every time I brought up something I was worried about, her response was, "Oh, she's fine. That's normal. You have nothing to worry about. It's just a stomach bug." Basically saying that my daughter being constantly sick was normal because she was in daycare. I took her word for it for a while... but my daughter had been vomiting for MONTHS and I decided to get a second opinion. Long story short, Dr. Dunagan was wrong. I had to take my daughter off cow's milk... change her diet... put her on acid reflux meds... it was a whole thing. Now we see Dr. Rutledge. She's also super sweet and very nice. I feel her communication is much better than Dunagan's, and she takes my worries seriously and tells me exactly what to do. We're gonna stick with her for as long as things continue to go smoothly. read more

Wait times always exceed 1 hr. They obviously overbook appointments to maximize money. Long wait to be checked in. Once you're in the back, it's a long wait until the dr comes in. When you finally see the doctor they only spend a few minutes with your child so they don't really get to know them. Then if your child needs shots, there's a long wait for the nurse to come back. It's ridiculous. The only reason I continue to come to this office is because it's one of the only providers bear my home that accept my insurance. read more

Ok so My Husband and I love nurse practitioner Juanita Joiner. She has took care of my son for about 6 years and my daughter for almost 2. She is sweet as pie, and really care about the children. She knows their face and called them by name. Before coming to her I went to atleast three pediatricians, and it didn't work out, because I just felt like another number waiting to be seen on my list. My only negative would have to be the phone answering service to make appointment. I don't know if they really busy but they just really rush you. I also feel that they are very short with you when trying to explain something or request someone. Other than that I really love this place and the staff. read more

This place is AWFUL! I brought my daughter her for a one week old newborn checkup. First off, my daughter was born at home (on purpose ). I heard my doctor outside my door reading our chart and made a snarky comment about her being born at home. But whatever, I brushed it off as ignorance. The doctor tells me the baby looks jaundice and she would like for me to go over to the main hospital and have her labs done to check her bilirubin levels, so we did. I wasn't happy about walking through a main hospital, full of terribly sick people, during cold and flu season, but we did it anyways. They got the results back that afternoon and said her levels were elevated so they wanted to do the labs again the next day. I wasn't happy about once again, bringing my healthy newborn into a building full of sick people, but I was just trying to follow the doctor's orders. At her appointment that day, i saw a nurse practitioner who told me she thought my daughter's jaundice was looking better and she wasn't concerned. After the labs though, I was told again that her levels are elevated and they would need to have the labs done again the following day, so I went ahead and made her appointment. Unfortunately, later that afternoon, I suffered a pretty severe postpartum hemorrhage and was placed on strict bed rest, so I called and cancelled our appointment. I told the front desk that we would come back after the weekend when I had family come to town to help me get the baby to her appointment. The next day, a nurse called to ask why we had cancelled our appointment. Not going into detail, I tell her that I've had a medical emergency and that we can't make it until after the weekend. The nurse immediately responds with, "well just so you know, if her bilirubin levels rise further, she could be brain dead by the end of the weekend." I hang up the phone, sobbing, and tell my husband. He called back and asked to speak with a doctor, but the doctor said she didn't have time to call us back and we would need to speak with the nurse regarding our issues. My husband talks to the same nurse that I talked to and she again uses her fear tactics to try and get us to schedule another appointment, which we passed on. She also made a comment to my husband basically saying our daughter's health was more important than my cold... my husband quickly corrected her that I didn't have a cold and told her my situation. She said, "oh, I just assumed she had a cold. I didn't realize it was so severe." But we shouldn't have to justify our decision to her! Obviously, we did not go back and saw another pediatrician in town, who took one look at my daughter and said her jaundice was normal for a baby her age and that it would continue to go down over the next few days.. I'm not the kind of person who enjoys or has time to give reviews/feedback online. However, today, I feel necessary to express my discontent about this pediatric office. For 8 years, this was the pediatric office I was taking my daughter to. For 8 years, I felt that while it was not a perfect practice, it offered good medical service. That all changed because at the most recent annual appointment, where we were seen by Laurie Chandler, N.P., she asked me if I had any questions or concerns, and I made the "mistake" of asking if there was a possibility my daughter might have a tic because she had been making an irregular eye movement weeks before. At the time, N.P. Chandler couldn't notice anything just by seeing her (no additional exam was performed), because my daughter didn't have any symptoms that seemed troubling. So, N.P. Chandler suggested taking with us the contact information of a pediatric neurologist in case we wanted to get her checked up in the future. I took the name and phone number, and next thing I know, I got a bill from Snellville Pediatrics asking me to pay extra for discussing a potential neurological case with the physician during my daughter's annual appointment (which was supposed to be covered 100% by insurance). In other words, I am deeply disappointed that this pediatric practice used a wellness appointment where any responsible parent is supposed to ask questions about their child's development to try to get more money out of the insurance and out of my pocket. read more

So far so good! After doing lots of research and interviewing various people, I found the Snellville Pediatrics group to be the best choice for our son. The location is conveniently attached to Emory Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, GA. I've met many of the doctors and I feel the group is knowledgable, well-educated and easy to talk to. Keep in mind there are many who see this group so sometimes the wait times may be a bit long. Although that is not unexpected when a physicians group is so popular. read more

I've been coming for 7 years because of the close proximity to my home; however, this last visit was the final straw. Snellville peds had me waiting for over 1.5 hours for a scheduled appointment. In addition, the wait times on the telephone are ridiculous. The reception staff is unprofessional and it is obvious that they over book. Patient time is just as critical as physician time. I literally spent from 2:30 to 4:45 with a sick toddler for an appointment that was supposed to be a 3:00. The doctor did not see my kid until around 4:20, and Snellville Peds only made excuses for themselves. No accountability or patient consideration. Perhaps if they lose enough business things will change. read more

Long phone wait times. The "triage" service is a joke at best - you must always come in, even if you've just been seen days ago. Long wait times at the office unless you utilize the Saturday and Sunday sick appts (and be prepared to wait at least 15 minutes on the phone to take advantage of those days). And they avoid prescribing antibiotics to the extreme of making you come in 3 or more times on an issue before deciding that it has escalated to a double ear infection that now needs a basic dose of amoxicillin . . . right, that's going to do it for something that has been growing for 3 to 4 weeks!!!!! I'm done! I've been taking my daughter there since she was born 7 years ago. I now have an 8 month old and just can't stand them torturing him anymore. read more

I have twins who have been with Dr. Miller since birth, they are almost 2. She is amazing and always answered any questions we had. There are also some of her nurses which are so nice and loving to my girls. They were always attentive, even if I was unsure if I was overreacting by bringing the girls in, they were preemies. The staff always took my concerns seriously, which I appreciated. The downside, the wait times can be long...with twin babies it was hard. Other than that, we love this place! read more

This is a great medical practice however, they will not allow you to schedule two separate appointments for two different children on the same day, regardless of the time; unless both parents are present or you choose one physician for both appointments. This is a practice rule, just in case a doctor is running late. What a huge inconvenience for families who have multiple children and different physicians, to schedule multiple appointments. My children are two different genders and we prefer that they see a doctor of the same gender. read more

I came back to Snellville pediatrics after I was highly disgusted at ABC Pediatrics in Stone mountain off of Hwy 78. Any Way, I schedule a well visit for my rising 1st grader (june 8, 2018), who has not seen a doctor since May of 2017 where we had to get her last vaccinations for Kindergarten registration. So, an entire year of no doctor. Upon my arrival, the receptionist informs me that I have a $95 payment due to her "sick visit." I politely inform the receptionist that I scheduled a well visit only, and even pointed out how healthy my daughter was (standing next to me trying to sign herself in like a big girl). The receptionist then tells me what is coded on the computer but then proceeds to "correct and update" the visit status. I asked the receptionist if I need to just reschedule to avoid any billing issues. She tells me "no" since "no payment was collected it will be viewed as a well visit" and she informed me that she had updated in the system.---OK... Fast Forward to today (June 26, 2018) I receive a statement expressing I have a payment of $141??? I know that's incorrect because my daughter is covered by, both, me and her father, so there should not be a fee. I call the billing office and speak to a rep who informs me that my daughter's visit was "coded as a sic visit, which explains the charges." I informed the rep that those services were not rendered and a co pay was not even taken at the time of service to even be confused as a sick visit. She tells me the code can't be changed, nor can the payment... WTF?! The person that handles these matters won't be back in the office from vacation until July 2nd, 2018. I am furious, as a single mother, how low down the healthcare system is....Just the lack of urgency to correct a mistake they made, the miscommunication with the staff and admins, and the boldness to even try and get over on me.... this is not over....to be continued... read more

The wait time has not changed one bit. My last appointment I had my 3 year old sick child and I was 15 min early for the appointment. I waited in the waiting area with him for over 30 minutes and it was maybe 1 or 2 other people waiting. People continued to come in and got called back. I politely asked the front desk what was taking so long and she stated that the Dr was behind schedule. For one, that should have been mentioned when I first came in, second you can ask if I would like to see someone else. Moving on, we get to the back and now have to wait another 30 minutes just for the Dr to come in and see my son for 5 minutes. I had already been the ER the night before and the ER diagnosed him with the flu (but did not test him), so you would think that the Dr at Snellville Ped would test him, NO THEY DID NOT. Instead she prescribed him with Tamiflu (even though the ER Dr was against that and told me to NEVER give that to my kids). I'm beyond annoyed with this place and they need to do better all around read more

We went to see Dr. Fotion who came highly recommended. At first he seemed great and very promising. He is a very wise doctor, and is great for children who are not experiencing problems outside of the norm. There is a set standard of treatment and when children do not thrive on this, the doctors are lost. He tried to help my daughter, but his only solution was to keep re-hospitalizing her and doing weight checks. He did keep a very close eye on her, but we left his practice to keep seeking until we find someone who can help, someone willing to put the extra effort and think outside the norm. read more

Not worth the time. My son was sick over the weekend (Sunday.) I went to their website, followed their urgent care instructions, filled out all of their paper work, and kept trying to call them to set up an appointment for their urgent care services. No Where on Their Web Page did it say no new patients for urgent care. Even though they take our brand of insurance and when I got a hold of one of their staff members the woman said "no can't take new patients on the weekend" and sorry we can't help you (i.e. pity your child is sick oh well.) She also did not provide recommended alternatives. Her argument was that they were not capable of checking the insurance on the weekend. After the conversation I would definitely not be interested in their regular pediatric care either. read more

I have been using them for 4 years and never had a problem (other than waiting at least an hour in a hot room to see the dr) until now. Today I took my son for a follow up for an ear infection. We saw Dr. Rutledge, as she was checking my sons ears I noticed his ear start to bleed. I asked her if that was normal and she replied it's just dry blood. So I took my finger and swabbed the wet blood onto it and said no that's not dry. She then looked in his ear again while he was screaming in pain and said "I didn't puncture his ear drum". More and more blood started coming out and I was very concerned. Immediately I rushed him to the er to have them make sure. The er dr said she punctured right beside his ear drum and that it was full of blood. I couldn't believe it, I've never seen anyone make either one of my children's ears bleed. I will be calling tomorrow to complain and will not ever return. I will say Dr. Deganian is the best but it seems like every time we try to see him he's not there. Other than that the new doctors don't seem to know what they're doing. Thank you for harming my child! I wish I could post a picture of all the blood that's in his ear after 6 bloody qtips. This is my sons doctors office we have been there multiple times now I love his doctor, but I will be finding him a new doctors office because I can not stand the nurses there they have attitudes and act extremely judgemental towards me every time we go in or they call me. It's a shame because the doctor is amazing the nurses just suck.You get a paper after the doctor leaves at the end of every visit pretty much stating what went on during the appointment ours said we were asked to arrive 30 minutes before the appointment began but we failed to do so. We were NEVER told we had to be there 30 minutes early. So I let it go then we had to wait an hour and a half for the nurse to come in and give him his shots so we could leave and when she came in I asked her what took so long the doctor told me you would be in here shortly she replied with you guys were late I had other things to do. I told her we were not late we arrived ten minutes before the appointment time. Her response was what it said on the paper you should have been here thirty minutes before hand. I told her we were never told that and she just kept saying yes you were. So I felt like they made us wait an hour and a half on purpose, which I'm sure they did. The nurses here are so rude its ridiculous. I will never take my son here again or recommend it to anyone purely because of the nurses there. read more

Snellville Peds have good triage phone nurses and the physicians are good, but the office staff truly needs change. We've been with them for 2 years (due to convenience), but we won't come back. The office staff is disorganized, very slow, and not quite friendly. It's a shame that the physicians are losing patients due to inefficient support staff. read more

Pediatrics are never easy to go to - can you imagine their job? With that said, Snellville Peds does a wonderful job of juggling all our kids in and out. The nurses and doctors have always been friendly, accommodating and informative. We couldn't ask for anything more! read more

We love Dr. Miller but got forbid you have an emergency on a Saturday. My husband tried to make an appointment but the dumb secretary lost her keys and couldn't get in the building to answer the phone, so he ended up at the office at opening. Instead of giving him an appointment she made my little boy with a broke ankle sit an wait for two hours while countless numbers of other patients were brought back ahead of him. Even though you cannot make an appointment for Saturday till Saturday and they were the second people through the door. Ridiculous. Rude. read more

Dr. Britni Ecklund and her staff were incompetent and very unprofessional. Dr. Ecklund left the examining room and did not give my daughter a diagnosis or treatment plan. She threw a bill at my daughter and left without telling us we were done. After a while, I looked around the corner of the hallway and asked the medical assistant if we were done. She said "ya" while shoving food in her mouth. The medical assistant was short tempered and rude the entire time. The receptionist was also texting on her cell phone while I was standing patiently to sign her in. I will never go there again! read more

The doctors at Snellville Pediatrics deserve 5 stars. Dr. Jennifer Burrell is especially amazing. She is so caring, my kids love going to see her. Unfortunately, the other staff members at this practice are not as friendly. The front office staff is particularly rude. They treat you like youre inconveniencing them to be there. After a few years of just well check ups, we can't take it anymore. The office staff is worse than horrible; they are rude, unhelpful, and not competent in their jobs. Sometimes you have to call back two to three times and hold about 10 minutes each time just to get someone to answer the phone to make an appointment. The office is poorly managed. It is a large practice and you feel like your just a number. Not very impressed with the two doctors we saw, they lacked personality and seemed to try to find what you were doing wrong as a parent instead of being informative or educating. We did like one of the P.A.'s Neville; she is very nice,listens well,doesn't rush, and answers questions. I do NOT recommend this practice to anyone for any reason!!!! read more

I called to just ask a nurse a question and was on hold for 28 minutes. I finally hung up and called back and chose the option to make an appointment and held for 6 minutes. I told the representative that answered I just needed to ask a quick question and she barely let me get my words out before she transferred me back to the nurse line. I have been holding another 10 minutes and will probably still be holding next week. Conveniently for them, it went into their lunch time and I'm sure they just watched the line blink. This Practice has gone from a Great place to take your child to ... I will never go back!!! Most of the Doctors are very good, BUT the unfriendly staff and INCREDIBLY long wait times are just not worth it. I had a 10:40 am, well appt, this morning for my 18 month old son. I didn't get called back until 11:40 am. After 5 mins of temperature taking and weighing I was brought back to the exam room. After waiting 30 additional mins for the Doctor I was done. I walked to the check out desk and asked how to get the medical records for my 3 children as I would no longer be bringing them to Snellville Pediatrics. There is absolutely no reason why a person should have to wait more than 20 or 30 mins to see a doctor when they have scheduled an appt 2 months in advance. So, after 7 years of going there I am searching for a new practice. I would be interested to know where people are going when they leave Snellville Pediatrics?? read more

If I had the choice, I wouldn't even give this place one star. Staff is extremely rude. Their wait time is ridiculous. All the way from front desk to back nurses were rude. I have been taking my daughter there since she was an infant and now I am looking for another practice only because I can't tolerate their unprofessional behavior any longer. The last straw was when I needed them to fax over a form of immunizations to my daughters day care, they said they would do it and no one called me back for weeks after leaving several messages informing them that no faxes have been received. When I spoke with this lady she claimed no one had received any of my messages and suddenly she said she was unable to fax the forms. I wanted to speak to an office manager to which she put me on hold for a long time and then came back and said the manager is busy. I could not believe the odacity these people have. I work in a medical office myself and know how these things work and this type of behavior is unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend this office to ANYONE. read more
