I have been bringing my children to this pediatrician's office for 10 years. In the past, I overlooked mistakes such as them focusing on my daughter's allergies while overlooking and failing to diagnose her asthma until later, because I tried to remain loyal. However, I now feel obligated to share this experience to protect other families. Recently, I brought my children in for what I thought was just a common cold and to get a refill for my daughter's Albuterol prescription. A couple of days later, my 14-month-old son developed Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease -- which he contracted from this office. This conclusion is unavoidable given our lifestyle: my family does not live here, we do not have company, my son is not in daycare, I do not drive (groceries are delivered), and the only place we had been was the pediatrician's office. When I first noticed a few bumps on his leg, I thought it was from switching diaper brands. By the next morning, he had a full outbreak. Urgent Care confirmed it was Hand, Foot, and Mouth. Shocked, I called the pediatrician's office from the exam room, and the nurse admitted on speakerphone that cases had been "off the charts." Later, when my child's father called for clarification, the same nurse repeated that it was "the highest it's ever been." Despite knowing about the surge, the office failed to take even the most basic precautions. They could have posted signs, asked us to wait in the car, or rescheduled. Instead, my son was unnecessarily exposed, and our entire household has been disrupted. My son has had sleepless nights, been unable to eat, and I've had to quarantine him from his sibling -- all while missing the start of a new job. When I called back to ask about Magic Mouthwash to help with my son's painful ulcers, I was told they could not prescribe it since they were not the ones who diagnosed him. Their only concern expressed by the office manager was "sorry" and that they didn't want to lose me as a patient. There has been no follow-up whatsoever -- no calls, no check-ins, no concern shown for my child's condition or recovery. This is negligence. A loyal patient of 10 years should not have to experience this level of disregard. Parents deserve to know that their children's safety is not prioritized here. I am writing this review not out of spite, but out of responsibility -- to spread awareness so that other families can make informed choices before trusting this office with their children's health. read more

I took my daughter in to confirm a positive home Covid test. The nurse came in to give my daughter the test without a mask. My concern is that this is a pediatrician's office who cares for infants whose immune systems aren't fully developed. Because of this I would not recommend this practice. read more

My kids have been going to Zaman Pediatrics for years. Their staff is always friendly and the doctors always remember us. They don't just ask about their physical health, they also consider mental health and emotional wellbeing. Their team is absolutely incredible and every time I've been concerned about something, they've been proactive in dealing with it. Dr. Angela Hutchins-Howard is a rockstar of a doctor and she is my kids' main doctor. We will sometimes see the other doctors if it's a sick visit and they are all incredible too. I highly recommend this office. We drive quite a bit to see them because of how great they are! read more

Normally, I would give them a five star review. We really like all of the doctors. Our favorite is Dr. B. She is amazing with our children. The front desk though...I called earlier today and I almost apologized because I thought that maybe I had done something wrong. The first person was extremely short and hurried me off the phone. Im still trying to figure out what happened. The second person I spoke with was just as short. What is going on? If you dont want to speak to others or be somewhat pleasant. Do not work at anyones front desk. Please. Im trusting that this place is good for my children. If its not good for me, its not good for them. read more

I hope to see positive change during my next visit. Practice okay but I'm looking for an environment that is more conducive to children. I arrived early with my toddler for our scheduled appointment to sign her in and fill out paperwork. I informed the front desk staff that we had arrived for our first appointment. There was no effort to help acquaint us with the healthy child area and no effort to welcome my daughter as a new patient. I had to initiate the discussion after completing the initial intake form. After that we were directed to the healthy child area in the back of the office and I was given a tablet to complete the intake process. We then waited for my toddler's name to be called. I went to the front desk to inquire about the wait time. I was told because it is sick season there were several kids in front of us. Suffice it to say I'm thankful to have a so-far healthy toddler. If I anticipated lots of interaction with a peds practice based on this initial experience I would not choose this office. The actual clinical staff was kind and friendly. The reception staff lacked warmth and consideration. I even spoke with the manager to share my experience and that experience lacked emotion. I was disappointed overall. Be forewarned if you are a new patient the expected time to wait for having your child's chart created before you can be called back is 30-45min. This had not been communicated to me before meeting with the manager. This is a place where people work to take care of kids and the care component seems lost on the front office staff. That said, I will be returning in six months. If the atmosphere has changed in the intervening months I will update my review. read more

This practice is good. Whenever I've had an appointment I've never had to wait long. The only time I waited a long time was when I walked in with my sick child but even then they tried to accommodate me as soon as possible. The nurse staff have been friendly and the doctor's are friendly too and do take time to listen and pay attention to my child. They also have a special room for nursing which I really like. The reason I give them 4 stars is because : a) The nurse at the check out counter never gives me a receipt even though I am told at the front I will get my receipt there. I had to ask for it and insist on it. I've never had to ask for a receipt before. b) This practice isn't as friendly about breastfeeding as I thought. I get mixed signals about it. I've been asked to supplement, which I have but now I have been asked to start solids before 6 months. I've read the AAP site and the WHO site which says to exclusively Breast feed for 6 months. if you are adamant to stick to the AAP schedule, this might not be the practice for you. Overall though I am going to continue going there for sick visits. read more

I have been taking my daughter to Zaman Pediatrics for almost 5 years now. I could not be more pleased with the ENTIRE staff in the office. From the front desk clerks to the nurses and the doctors, I have felt nothing but love and genuine care and concern from all the ladies at Zaman. I don't even live in Snellville, so I drive 35-40 minutes to visit this practice. If I was asked to recommend a Pediatrician, this would be the place hands down. The reason this is the pediatrician i use is bc when i had my first daughter they were the closest one that was open on a Saturday. We were being discharged from the hospital on a Friday and had to see a dr the next day. So with that said. There is mainly one dr i like which is dr makar. The rest just throw antibiotics and whatever other meds that are 'normal' at you. I'm not anti meds but i do believe in using meds only when absolutely needed and antibiotics aren't needed near as much as they prescribe. Dr B put my daughter on 4 different antibiotics in 1 month period of time. She was my first so i was confused on why she was doing that but i just want to get my daughters ear infection better. She ended up needing tubes in her ears. The period of time she was on antibiotics she eventually stopped eating all together and had a horrible yeast infection. Her vaginal health hasn't been the same since 2 years later she constantly has issues with it. It hurt me to have to see her go though that. So now i have to put off meds bc they pervasive them almost immediately before even trying to see if there's a way to solve it without meds. All except dr makar she seems to be more on how this generation of parents feel with meds and sickness's and breastfeeding. My youngest is 4 now and i have a 2 year old as week and we still come to this office. read more

The wait time isn't bad any more, but honestly I rather wait to see a Doctor that's understanding and takes the time to answer my questions then one that rushes through my appointment. As a formerly nursing mother who had an allergic reaction as an infant to the MMR, I can contradict the opinion that Zaman Pediatrics is neither pro-nursing nor willing to delay/adjust vaccination schedules. My son has been on an adjusted schedule since birth and while they believe firmly in the value of vaccines, my concerns have ALWAYS been respected. In his infancy, I was supported and encouraged during nursing, babywearing, cloth diapers, and other moderately "crunchy" philosophies. There are alternatives for which there is no hard scientific evidence, and my questions about these methods were always answered forthrightly and without disrespect or disdain. We've seen Dr. Hutchins since the departure of the amazing Dr. Danelle Wilson, and my son considers Dr. H. his personal angel. I just wish they saw adults! read more

Adequate, and of the doctors I've seen Dr. Makar is by far the best. Staff are mostly impersonal. I continue to go because it's so close to my house, but am considering switching again. Each time I've arrived as requested 15 minutes prior to my appointment, and at least half the time I've been seen 40-50 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. The other half of the time they see me immediately. They very clearly double book at times and make no apologies for it. read more

Dr. Zaman is very kind, caring, and patient. She is very good about getting your child in when needed. Dr. Zaman has called my home numerous times to check on my daughter. However, she is not very knowledgeable with children who have complications. There is a set standard and if it doesn't work, you will be referred to the specialist for everything. She knows her limits and sticks to them like glue. This is a good thing as I would rather a doctor say "I don't know" that to harm my child. If your child is a healthy, happy, good to go child, this is the place to go. read more

Worst Pediatrician in Snellville!: I went to Dr. Zaman for years and realized how much she failed as my doctor. At the age of 10 I began to gain a lot of weight and changed my diet which caused nothing to happen but gain more weight! My medical records have information in them that was never discussed with my mother, such as having high cholesterol in which she informed my mother mine was perfect. She also never discussed a thyroid problem I was just diagnosed with last year (age 18!) when it was prominent in blood tests at the age of 12. She refused to diagnose asthma and help with my breathing problems, usually ending up in the ER because I had no medication. Dr. Hutchins was the best doctor at Zaman Pediatric Center, who got me help with asthma and thyroid problems. My severe weight gain would have been non-existent these days if it had been for an earlier diagnoses and now I am on medication which I will have to take for the rest of my life and have a lot of weight to lose, which has been detrimental to my health. Dr. Zaman also over-books patients, limiting the relationship and quality a doctor should have with each patient equally. I was in her office one day after a child had been rushed to the ER when he stopped breathing. The place was crowded and most likely the boy had to wait for an hour to actually see Dr. Zaman. read more

I love this practice. I have been using this office for a few years now and have a small kid and a teenager, the Drs are good with both ages. Going to the Dr is never a fun experience, but I always feel like they are well taken care of here and the Drs really listen. read more

We LOVE Dr. Belhareth and Dr. Zaman! Our children have been patients at Zaman Pediatrics for nine years, and we would be willing to drive a long way for these amazing doctors. They call me after hours to check on my children when they are sick. They are willing to talk with other specialists. These doctors are humble, caring, and listen to parents. They are also open, and not pushy toward those who are very "natural" oriented toward health issues. read more

Nothing has improved. Gave them 3 fax numbers and they claimed they all didn't work. Pharmacy called to get verbal over the phone and they refused. I tried the fax numbers myself and they all worked. Going to find a new doctor where I don't have to put up with this anymore. Enough is enough. The office staff is terrible. Save yourself the headache. read more

*warning* Do NOT go to this practice if you have any conflicting opinions with vaccines/alternative medicine. Forget forgoing vaccines, this office frowns upon a simple delayed schedule, and will not hesitate to not only voice that, but infer that your information is inferior. Even if you are soft-spoken, respectful... I didn't see Zaman except for one or two times. I don't know if she shares this, and the new Dr. Makar is very nice, but the other doctors, and the newer ones particularly- actually are pro-formula, and I was honestly told breast milk was LESS nutritious than formula, and that breast milk actually CONSTIPATES.. folks, do your research. I support mothers who make their own decisions, if they chose formula/vaccines on the suggested schedule, that is their right as a mother to make what they feel is the best informed decision, but a doctors office that doesn't support mothers who chose differently? no thank you. read more

Initially went to Dr. Makar and although I had to wait at least 30 to 45 minutes past my appointment time to see her, I was ok with the interaction that she had with both me and my daughter. When Dr Makar was out, we were assigned to Dr. Zaman. She spent more time asking me about the professions of my husband and myself then actually examining my child. She went into a scripted statement telling me what I need to do and not do now that my child was 12 months. The did not ask me if I had any questions about my child's health and development. They gave shots with out telling me what they were giving to my child and then gave me the wrong Vaccine Information Sheets. Although I paid at the visit, they sent out a bill for the balance. I say bill but all it was a threat to send me to collections, no itemization of services and payments, just a statement that says "Final Notice. Your Account is now in Collection Status." Please note, this is the very first request made for payment. When I called the office about the aggressiveness of this notification, the representative says "I know, we hear that quite often." We then decided that we would change pediatricians so went into the office asked for our balance and an itemization of services provided, payments made by insurance and by us. We paid all that was due and walked out of the office. Six weeks later, I was notified by my insurance that there was an error and I was made responsible for a payment that the insurance should have paid. The insurance sent the funds to the Pediatrician, meaning that they were paid twice for service. When I called the office to ask how I would receive a refund, they notified me that they were refunding an amount only half the amount due. When pressed further for details they said they would have to call me back. When they called me back they just said, yes this is right, this is all that we owe you back. I then asked the representative many times to explain the deficit but could not get a clear answer as we have not received any services from them since April and paid off our account in full six weeks ago. read more
