Great DJs, friendly staff and a wide selection of craft beer! All in all a great joint! A bit on the small side though.

Only open in the summer they barbecue pork outside in the inner yard of the Victory Hotel (where also Tweed, Burgundy, Djuret and Omakase are located - and next door, run by the same people Pubologi as well). The first year this place was really amazing - the food was amazing value for money, slowly grilled and served perfectly tender. After that it has been a lot more up and down so cannot give it more than three stars. The food is usually good but not always and prices are still decent for food but for drinks it is often overpriced. Service is also up and down but usually friendly but too often forgetful. Still I do like the ambiance and it is nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy nice weather part of the year in Sweden.

After hearing about this restaurant and grabbing a drink in their nice courtyard a week before our…read morevisit I was very excited about trying their BBQ pork dinner. The setting is really the only good thing about this place, nice cozy courtyard in old town Stockholm with Cuban music. Our experience started out bad with the poor service level. We were 4 people and one of us were late. The other three got to sit down and look at the menu. At a nice restaurant they would normally ask you pretty quickly if you would like to get a drink while waiting for the last person. That did not happen here. After 15 min wait time we tried to flag down a waitress. She replied hurriedly with a "Söder" hipster attitude that she would be right with us. 5 min later she still has not come by so we flagged down another waiter. He was nice and took our drink order. They have two kinds of beer on tap, one light pilsner and one darker pale ale. The selection of bottled beer is limited but with a really good quality micro brew selection. When I ordered the pale ale, which was notably darker in the color than the pilsner, the same hipster waitress from our first encounter with their poor service brought me a pilsner. I pointed it out to her and she brought be a new one with the excuse that it was hard to see the color in the dark setting. That was totally BS since we could spot it from 5 meters away when she brought it. Now to the food, we all got the BBQ pork dinner which is kind of what the concept in this restaurant is about. 5 different parts of the pig served with triple fried French fries and three kind of dipping sauces for 275 SEK a person. Sounds really good, doesn't it? Well, there is a reason it is only 275 SEK. Here is the break down: French fries, decent but have definitely had better. Sauces, eatable but not very good. Could have made all of these at home much better. Now to the important part, the meat. The pork belly and the chuckadoodles were both pretty good. Nice smokey flavour and great texture. The chops were pretty dry and over cooked and did not have that much flavour. The ribs were nothing to write home about, also dry and lacking flavour. Now to the horrible part, the pulled pork. I personally love pulled pork but this was one of the worst I have ever had. It was way over salted and spiced with too much cumin. The only way to eat it was to drench it with their mediocre BBQ sauce. Here is also when the service went even further downhill. My wife, who has worked in a lot of restaurants and a is a great chef, pointed out to our waitress that she should tell the chef that the pulled pork was way too salty. We did not expect anything in return, just a nice apology and a "yes, I will definitely let him know. Thanks for telling us." This is the response we got "Uuuuhhh hmm ok". It is obvious they have hired a bunch of young people with no service experience what so ever. I think it is great to provide young people with work but please give them a crash course in customer service and normal behavior towards other people. This place would not have stayed open more than a month if it was in the US but since it is in Stockholm, were people expect bad service, it still is very busy. Overall: really nice atmosphere were meat lovers without taste buds could go to drink decent micro brews and wines for a reasonable price and be treated like an annoyance instead of a paying customer.

I had a steak - you can choose between three cuts and about four different weights. The steak was really good and it came with creamed corn (delicious!), beans, roasted vegetables (felt more like a Swedish touch) and your choice of either mashed potatoes or fries. The mashed potatoes seemed to be powder-based but the fries were really good. All in all a really good meal. Definitely worth a visit.

The place is furnished from top to bottom with cowboy references, complete with saddle barstools at the bar. The tables are small and they've crammed as many as they possibly could into the small space they have. The menu is all about steaks and burgers, with "cowboy style" sides like beans, corn cobs and that kind of stuff (my kind of stuff!) I was in a party of four and we ordered a starter platter with chicken wings and what not to share before the main course. It was good but not incredible. For main I ordered a rib eye steak and I was very clear that I wanted it rare. I even added that "it should have a pulse". What I got was medium at best. Orders like "rare" and even "medium rare" seem hard for chefs to nail (or easy to forget) because they always seem to mess it up and get me medium. I complained (which is always uncomfortable when you're the type who doesn't want to be bothersome to anyone) and they got me a new stake which was indeed bloody. I got a sincere apology from the chef via the waitress and also desert on the house. Still, I had to eat my meat alone since the other three in my party had already eaten their main courses by then. That's always a drag. Then I ordered my free desert with extra spoons and shared it with the others. All in all, a pleasing restaurant experience. I would gladly come back!

Especially if you're in the mood for steak. They have everything from a "ladies" (200g) to a "Bigass"(500g) entrecôte, New york cut Striploin in various sizes, lamb, surf & turf and whole lobster tail. Along with variations of hamburgers, ribs, chili, nachos, and fajitas .. something for everyone. My absolute favourite dish is the "Texas Chili", it's unbeatable. It's a traditional chili, served with salsa, guacamole, sour cream, black beans and wheat tortilla bread. The "Ugly American" is the only burger I've tried, it's a 220 g hamburger with bacon, served with coleslaw, chipotle drip and fries. You're absolutely stuffed when you've finished your meal. In Sundbyberg the restaurant is newly renovated, they have changed the decor on the walls and repainted, while also adding some tables by the bar. You cannot reserve a table though, but the wait is usually not that bad. It's a small restaurant so choose your seating wisely if you can. We sat right next to the window, which can be nice in the winter time. But in the summer, with the sun blasting in, it was quite unbearable. Since the restaurant is so small, it gets very hot when all the grills are fired up in the back kitchen. I really like that all beer and soda comes in the chilled Texas Longhorn glasses, and that the staff is nice and friendly. Definitely a place to visit, again and again.

However, there were several things lacking from this place. First, the price of the beers and burgers were verging on ridiculous. 180kr for a burger that was ok. It was a bit heartier than your run of the mill pub burger here in Stockholm, but there was nothing particularly good about it either. The bun was standard, there was a lousy tomato, a slice of iceberg lettuce and mayonnaise on it and that was it. The burger was supposed to come with fries, but because we're three they opted to give us a basket of fries to share. The basket was so small though that unless we mistakenly ordered from a kids menu, bordered on absurd. Lastly the service was terrible. I don't usually complain about the service. Waiting for your food is just part of the experience when you go out to eat in Stockholm, but we waited forever for our burgers and then never saw the waiter again. We had wanted to order more beers in the midst of waiting, but the waiter never came around. We finally gave up on more beers and instead waited for the waiter to come around so we could get the check. We finally had to go and get our waiter to get the check.
