As we entered…read moreour final phase of landscaping which had (eventual) patio elevation, sun/shade areas differences and drainage concerns, we needed someone that could tie these along with the deer and pests present in our neighborhood into something that would not only be beautiful but grow and flourish. We realized we needed someone familiar with all these factors and the characteristics of shrub, tree, and "pests" we would ultimately consider. Our initial visit was more extensive and detailed than expected, and we knew we had found someone that could overcome the challenges we faced. After review of the project scope and our tastes, which included some Japanese/Oriental plants and shrub considerations, we began the process of viewing and analyzing dozens upon dozens of plants, shrubs and trees. As a result of our meetings and changes, Peter designed a backyard patio and surrounding gardens that were beyond our imagination. We have come to realize that since the project was completed in early June 2022, his knowledge of plant sizes, spacing, bloom times and colors has truly become apparent. While meeting and indicating "Yes, we like that, and that would work...," it wasn't until we have been living with the results of his vision and brilliance that it solidified just how talented he is. The various shrubs and perennials (we did not plant annuals) have begun to bloom and display colors throughout the summer season and have been a true joy. They also carry some common garden plants too. Their grounds carry everything from foundational trees and shrubs to easy growing flowers to veggies and fruits. They also have sections organized by Deer Resistant, Veggies, Shade Shrubs, Sun, Partial Shade, Trees, Partial Shade Flowers, etc. It's easy to find your way around, though the staff will gladly help too. I found their nursery to be sizeable but not overwhelming. As someone who is newer to gardening I thought their signage is some of the best I have ever seen- on every plant variety they have a big sign with its common name, genius, zones, size, sun/shade needs, if the plant is native or not, and unique features, along with clear pricing. The signage was useful in making sure the plants would be happy at my home, though all the plants I looked at seemed fairly robust period. I wound up with some shade loving white wood asters, sun loving sunflowers, and brown-eyed susans. While I'm a newbie gardener I think more experienced gardeners would be happy here too given all the options and knowledge at hand. They do have a big commercial/pickup side and offer landscaping and hardscaping services for those who are interested. I thought car parking was easy but I was also visiting towards the end of the end of a day on a weekday.

I contacted 5 different landscaping companies - 3 said they would come out to look at my yard for a quote and then no-call no-showed, 1 said they were already overbooked, and 1 actually did come out to look at the yard and said they would give me a quote, but after two weeks still hasn't provided one. My wife then found Grazing Buffalo online. First off, their customer service was MUCH better. Steve showed up when he said he would, got me his quote (for a very reasonable price) quickly, and he and his crew showed up at the appointed time, did the work efficiently, and cleaned up well after. Couldn't be happier with their work.

I called their number and could only leave my phone number, no name, no message. The plower did come within 24 hours. That was in November of 2025, and it was the only snow removal through December and January. When their voicemail was actually functioning, I asked for a refund. I had paid $360 for this service. I have not received it, nor any response at all. I bought a snow blower, and at the age of 80 I'm needing to do my own snow removal.
