First of all, waiting for over an hour for each and every single appointment is ridiculous. Secondly, she is all about making money over anything else. She incorrectly (either without knowing or on purpose, not sure which is worse) diagnosed my teenage back acne as warts. As a gyno, the correct and ethical thing would have been to refer me to a dermatologist. Instead, she insisted that I come in to see her twice a week (and sometimes more) to get them removed with dry ice (liquid nitrogen). I still have scars on my back from this incorrect, aggressive, and unnecessary treatment. Nor will I ever get reimbursed for my time and money. I would never trust a doctor who did this to a teenage girl. No matter how old you are, I am sure you can find someone better and more qualified. Please be careful.

The intake process was frustrating from the beginning. It was very difficult to reach anyone, and I struggled multiple times with the online forms before finally getting everything completed. I submitted all of my insurance information, including photos of my insurance cards, and was contacted with appointment options. I selected a virtual appointment and received a confirmation email the morning of the appointment saying they were looking forward to meeting with me. When I logged into the portal for my appointment, I was shocked to see a message stating that they do not accept Medicare, but that I could still keep the appointment for approximately $200 out of pocket. This should have been made clear before scheduling the appointment. Since I provided my insurance information ahead of time and my appointment was confirmed, I expected my coverage to have been reviewed. Finding this out at the time of my appointment wasted my time and was very frustrating. I hope the practice updates their website and intake process so that insurance information is verified before appointments are scheduled. Patients seeking mental health care are already taking an important step by reaching out, and the process should be more transparent and patient-friendly. She's been nothing but caring and practical, in addition to being a great diagnostician. She's gone the extra mile a number of times, and once in particular when I went in with severe abdominal pain and she "nailed" the diagnosis, called ahead to the ER with instructions, checked in that night and was persistent in getting me the surgery I needed when the on call surgeon was attempting to delay the surgery to the next morning (presumably because she wasn't wanting to stay later than expected). Dr. Sorotzkin's persistence paid off, and I got my surgery within the hour (around midnight). I'd recommend her to anyone. I rarely write reviews but when reading these (just found them after searching to verify the address) I was prompted to register and post because they are so at odds with my experience (see her at least three times a year for eight years). I think it's great how for common illnesses, they will work you in that day to see a physician's assistant who can do a basic exam and write prescriptions - or bring in a doctor if it's more serious. I've recommended her to others, all of whom had similarly positive results. I hate to see anyone like her get a bad rep - I've had many doctors in my life, in many parts of the country, and I'd rate her among the top."

While waiting in a room, I overheard the nurse practioner in the hallway critisizing me for coming into the office and wanting to turn me away even though I had no other option or place to go to. It sounded like annoyance and grumbling, which already made me uncomfortable and annoyed too. If I had the option, I would have gone to an ob/gyn. Thankfully, an employee seemed to convince her to see me and show me the 10-wk ultrasound results. The NP came in and said there was no heartbeat and I'd have a miscarriage. She then immediately went into telling me to either take an abortion pill or make a surgery appointment that day. I was clearly in shock, and couldn't process everything b/c she kept pushing me to make a decision in that moment. I would've appreciated some time to think and some compassion, but something switched and this place just felt like a business. Even as I was walking out after crying a bit in the room, the NP followed me twice (once in the hallway, once in the lobby) asking if I wanted to make an appointment right now for the surgery or pill. I felt so much pressure to make a decision right then, without time to grieve/process/evaluate my options. There was no compassion or guidance to resources regarding the miscarriage of my first potential child. Somewhat traumatized by such a business-oriented, insensitive response from her and will never go back in the future.
