Fast forward to today. My husband ran over something large and hard at 70 mph. Hit was so hard it popped the needle off of the speedometer in the dash. Managed to get it into see Joshua. Wasn't good news but he gave me 2 options. First was the minimum that needed to be done. Second was an additional item that really should be done. All said and done, more than I wanted to spend but I still feel he was very fair in his pricing. Been driving the van for a few days now and am very happy with the results. Plus, I have the peace of mind knowing I won't be chewing up my tires every few thousand miles. Just as a side note. I did research Cortez Car Care and discovered something amazing. They have been members of the BBB for 23 yrs this year and have not had one single complaint lodged against them in all that time. In any auto related field, especially repair/maintenance, that is a record to be very proud of. Just tells me that they are doing things right and have customer satisfaction very high on their priority list.

They are professional, keep you informed every step of the way, do great work, for a fair price, stand behind their work, and most of all are honest. I have spoken with the owner more than once, as it is family owned, and he is usually there. But one time that I spoke with him that stood out to me that they were different. My stepson's power steering stopped working. I called and I was about to have it towed in as it was parked at a restaurant. The owner got on the phone with me and asked me what year and model the car was. I told him, he asked me if the car had driven through any heavy puddles. I told him it had been raining, so I assumed so. He told me that model is notorious for the sensors getting wet and causing issues with the rack and pinion steering. He said, let it sit for a couple hours and dry out a bit. It should resolve the problem, and it did. He didn't have to tell me that. He could've let me have it towed in and just let it sit and dry and tell me he fixed it and taken me for a ride, but he didn't. That's honesty. I highly recommend this place to all my friends and family, and to anyone else who reads this review.

IT was 2:30pm. He asked me to pop the hood. He made a statement someone been working on this vehicle. I told him it was me. He told me what was loose. I wasn't there for that and didn't ask him about it. He Bryan(owner) I think is his name. Proceeded to tell me how he couldn't do the job. He was rude about it. I told him close it up. He was still talking to me for some reason. At this point I wasn't going to expose myself to his attitude anymore. I guess when you own a successful business you can turn people away. I would like to mention I emailed prior to showing up. The fact that I did not get an email reply makes it worse. So your business model is laugh at a customer infront of people then tear appart how shitty of a job the vehicles owner did trying to repair it? Ever been to those places where you are just a number and also wonder if the personnel working are your vehicle are going to do anything misleading or try to upsell you something you don't need or want? You won't get that here. Out the almost 29 years of taking my vehicles to different places and offered a variety of extras that i do not want or know I do not need, this place will not do that to you but something unique that I will NOT forget. I got an oil change here, the technician that did my car actually took my dipstick in and showed me the oil level, told me where the level is supposed to be (I already knew, but that extra touch puts everything over the edge) and placed my car right by the bar door so I did not have to get wet (was raining) getting back into my car after paying. The shop is clean, the waiting room is clean and has a television to watch while you are here. Parking lot is small but you probably will not have any concerns since service is also fast and efficient. The owner/person at the front. This person will not try to upsell you something you don't need or rip you off. He has to be the owner, very caring in what your needs are for your car, up front about pricing, never rude or has a stale demeanor like many other places. I watched him communicate with 3 other customers while waiting so the average test pased flying colors, that's 4 people that walked away happy in the span of half an hour. The "check in" coupon is only good for the $25 and $30 oil change but there is no complain for me because even the $20 oil change cannot be beat. Another big plus, like some scam shops in Houston that change $3 for "oil disposal fee", he told me that it is illegal and will not charge that here, that there sets the tone of confidence about this business. This guy could sell me a used car and I would buy one from him eyes blind closed. Brutally honest. Because of my experience here this business will find me coming here to get my oil changed even before the 3k mile marker just because. They advertise if you get the super clean package they will vacuum the interior through all the cracks and crevices and even the seats underneath will be blown with air from the air compressor. They will disinfect and degrease all plastic and leather surfaces, so if that's the case why is there still so many areas in my vehicle that seem to not even be attempted to be cleaned. Not only that why did my car come with new areas of paint chipped and a new door ding!!! I want to speak to a manager for a refund but there is no info on who to contact.
