No unnecessary runaround, no confusing hoops to jump through--just clear communication and a team that knows what they're doing. Another nice bonus is that they've got more than just boat sales. I just purchased a 16.5 ft Com-Pac Legacy from Snug Harbor Boats and I've have never been treated better. Ann was an extreme pleasure to deal with. She is helpful and tries to accommodate the customer. She held the boat for me so that I could secure funds, and when a slight delay came about with the funding at my bank, she reassured me that that all was well and that she would continue to hold the boat until the matter was resolved. I asked about an outboard for the boat and she had me one in no time flat. Snug Harbor serviced the outboard and had it ready for me when I picked up the boat. I purchased a sailboat here 5 months ago here from Marc at a fair price. I trusted this man the moment I shook his hand. The owner, Ann, who is genuine and sincere; allowed me to work on my boat in my spare time. During my Five-month refit, I got to know all the other employees. They are reflective of their boss, all decent, helpful people. If you are hesitating about buying from them or other services, don't. Make the decision and you will never regret it. I am very pleased with my experience with Ann Koch, Sid Hall, and Mike Wainscott in understanding my needs in repairing and/or selling my Capri 22 with trailer. Ann and Sid listened carefully to my concerns and my wife and I decided to sell. They gave me a fair price & picked up the boat and trailer today. All of the sales documents were completed for me to sign and a had a check in my hand. This was a turn key operation as Sid motored the sailboat across Lake Lanier and Mike drove the trailer away. This worked best for me and eliminated a lot of headaches !! I was looking for a sailboat to purchase and flew in from Montana to look at a sailboat that I was very interested in, ready to write the check. What I experienced from Ann was unlike any other broker that I have dealt with in the past. I am a businessman and understand that she's in business to sell boats, however this seems to be more of a labor of love as she's a sailor, rather than a venture to make money. She runs a pretty tight ship. She was totally honest with me and refused to deposit my earnest check that I mailed her until I had actually viewed the boat. I can ausure you that most brokers would have cashed that check in a heartbeat. She helped me by arranging a local marine mechanic to inspect the vessel and report on what needed attention. By the time he finished it was obvious that this boat had some serious issues and the cost to bring it back to offshore cruising capabilities was going to cost me more than the boat would ever be worth. As she drove me back to Atlanta to catch a flight to Florida where I did purchase a very nice NI38 I asked her why she was so honest? She told me this, "Woody, at the end of the day, when my head hits that pillow, I can close my eyes with a clear conscience and sleep like a baby, that's far more important to me than my bank account". She handed me back my deposit check and said she would be available to help me if I ever needed anything, as she drove me back to Atlanta so I could book a flight to Florida to continue my search. The broker that I ended up purchasing from in Florida, made tons of empty promises..... he messed up my paperwork which took me 8 months to fix with the USCG. Then refused to help me straighten it out. I can say that when it comes time to sell my boat, I will use Ann as my broker as I trust her, not because of what she says, but rather by what she does. We listed our sailboat with Ann at Snug Harbor in hopes that she cold help us sell it. Even though it had problems she has done an Excellent job of managing the boat and all of the listings on all of the locations on the internet. Her staff is very good and very competent in all ascpects of selling and keeping the boat maintained. My wife and I could not be more pleased with Ann. To give a comparison the boat broker we purchased this boat from years a go was just terrible. Now he was not the worst I have heard about but he was the worst I ever worked with for a purchase. But Ann has been professional, wise, careful, considerate of our needs and very helpful to all who shopped our boat. I believe in todays market (March 2019) a person must be flexible to be able to take care of all the details. Ann gets the absolute best marks from us. Ann has Never lied to either of us in person or by any other communication media and no employee of hers has ever lied to us In our 4 years of association with her.
