What would've been a 4-star review has been knocked down to a 1-star in a matter of 16 days! We bought a boat that was supposedly serviced prior to our purchase, however, we quickly learned that that was not true. Sales rep literally knew nothing about the boat and didn't try to find out information. He basically told us whatever we wanted to hear in order to get a quick sale. Sales rep mentioned more than one time that there was a 30 day window. If there were any concerns, we could bring the boat back to them. We'll see if that holds true. Buyer beware! read more

DO NOT EVEN THINK OF BRINGING YOUR BOAT FOR SERVICE!!! We bought our boat from them and I trusted the sales person as she assured me she goes through the boat top to bottom and repairs or replaces anything before selling it . We did not even own the boat for a year. We brought it in to have a thorough go over for anything that needed attention and have it detailed . They called us more than 3 month later to come and pick the boat up, that it was ready. The boat was not worked on and they sat it outside with no cover all that time in all the weather elements even though we TOLD them there were 2 covers ON the boat. It was disgusting. We bring back and reiterated to have the items we knew we wanted worked on and ANYTHING ELSE that needs attention. Meanwhile Harry, Moe, and Curly (the service tech staff) running the show , hit our boat on the lot with another boat ! It badly damaged the swim platform . They ASSURE ME they will fix it like new... not even close!!! What an inferior repair! We then come back when they said it was ready... things are not fixed AGAIN. So we go back a 3rd time, now with our friend who rebuilds boats and they inspect, take it for a spin, all appears to be well FINALLY. Our friend runs through the list, " Did you check the Bellows?" One of the 3 stooges responds "Oh yeah , you are good!" Well, they had not checked the Bellows and our boat sunk at our dock ! There was a gaping hole ! Probably happened when it was sitting outside all those months! The boat would have gone to the bottom of the lake had it not been for being properly tied at the dock ! $18,000 damage to a $40,000 boat ! I wrote the owner with documentation to highlight the ongoing gross negligence , lying, incompetence , etc of his staff . His response was that he was so sorry this happened, but claimed NO RESPONSIBILITY! We were left to sue as our only recourse ! It took quite some time but Atlanta Marine's insurance finally settled with us! Please avoid being a victim of this place . This was such a violating experience and hope nobody else ever has to go through this! read more

I would like to add an update to the original post I left. At the end I stated at least they got the trolling motor right. Well. 2 years later and the topside of my hull cracked. I have fiberglass repairs. I need to have the motor remounted, I was just told it was totally not reinforced the proper way and this caused all the fiberglass damage. I am Beside myself.. i thought the nightmare from this marina was over. 2,000 in fiberglass work and they need to add a supporting mount under the hull as well as under the trolling motor mount. They said this should have been done by the installing marina. Well. It wasnt. It doesnt end. The total list of issues I had. -All electric connections sealed with electric tape. -Simrad units installed improperly. no radar, sonar, depth, temps (They made good on this ad had someone in FL redo the install but it was like pulling teeth. - They lost my prop wrenches. - They kept a fuse I bought until after 2 months I had to threaten top send my cousin to go there and get it. then they responded its in the mail. -They did 1000 hour service on my engines. Since then I have prop chatter, Squeaking for what sounds like the belts they replaced, and a key way sheered off from the flywheel. -My trolling motor mount over the course of 2 years finally applied enough pressure to crack the bow top side because it wasn't supported properly. - Held my boat up for months and stored on a dirty lot under trees. Forced to do an expensive detailing to get all the tree sap off. Every day I think about all the money I gave them and all the money I am spending for rework. I will try and contact them for the fiberglass work and trolling motor with an estimate and explanation of improper install. AND will see if they make good and pay for a reinstall from a professional fiberglass and install marina. I am sure they will not respond. I will consider removing if they make good on everything, As of now.... I am telling you. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE read more

Buyer beware---I bought a new boat and trailer and after suffering two boat trailer tires separating I did some research. Found out the tires on my "new" trailer were FOUR years old! Now after spending over $800 I have new tires on my trailer. This is a very deceptive sales strategy. read more

My husband Jason purchased a Caymus bass boat from Steven at Atlanta Marine in April. Once we got the unit home we had some issues with the batteries. Thankfully after a call to Atlanta Marine they agreed to meet us in the middle and mailed us a check for half of the cost. We would defiantly do business with them again. read more

We went to Atlanta boat show in January and walked through every boat dealer booth in the entire show. The boat that stood out to us was a Chaparral offered by Atlanta Marine. We worked with Michael Norris from the Hideaway Bay location on a price and I have never felt more comfortable purchasing such a big ticket item before. Michael didn't once try to upsell me or throw out salesman tactics. He was upfront, honest and super personable. Michael took us out for a test drive, drove to our dock and put the boat up on our own lift. If you are ever in the market for buying a boat, I suggest you stop by Atlanta Marine and talk to Michael before you purchase anything. Super easy to work with, very communicative, and made the whole process easy! Warranty is a word they clearly do not understand or care about. we have a Chaparral that we bought from them less than two years ago. It has been a bad experience. The salesman was horrible. it should have been a warning for us. With less than 75 hours on the engine, the impeller disintegrated causing the engine to overheat. The mechanic stated that that caused the spark plugs to foul. Atlanta Marine said it wasn't a warranty item even though the warranty clearly states that everything in the powertrain is. They wanted to charge nearly $1000.00 to replace it and the spark plugs. The regular maintenance schedule didn't call for it for four years or 200 hours. They finally said they would cover just the impeller for "goodwill". Worst customer service I have ever seen. The fuel gauge has never worked properly, even after they looked at it. One of the prop trim cylinders is leaking - we even gave them the video of it and pictures. They could not find a leak. They had a mechanic quit before our scheduled appointment and never called to let us know he wouldn't be coming. 0/10. Do not use them. read more

I would not recommend this business. I brought my Formula here on consignment and I had a horrible experience. I dropped the boat off FRESHLY DETAILED. When the time came to winterize I went to go winterize the boat and found out they had been mistreating the boat. There was a garbage bag on the boat with containers of engine oil that weren't mine, oil on the deck of the boat, shoe prints on FRESHLY upholstered cushions, buoys that weren't mine, my shore power adapter was gone, my tie down straps for the boat were completely missing, and when they went to test the boat out on the water they left the batteries on and drained both batteries. To top it all off, no one knew anything about the boat. How convenient. I would not recommend this place at all. Horrendous experience and have yet to hear back on where my missing components are being that everything was there when I dropped it off. Wish I could give them ZERO STARS. read more

Absolutely do NOT recommend. They promised to look at our boat within 2 days and it took them two + weeks to give us a quote. (I guess we should had left at this point). The work should have taken a week to complete and it took them 5 weeks to complete. In total, they had our boat for 7 weeks and still didn't complete everything that we were quoted. Not ONCE, in the entire 7 weeks did anyone call to give us an update. My husband had to call them repeatedly to try and get some feedback. Week after week, we were promised it would be worked on ASAP and finally after speaking with a manager in sales did we finally get the boat worked on. My husband even had his phone calls answered and hung up on. Let me add that my husband is probably the nicest person ever, and they totally took advantage of his patience and kindness. In addition to not doing everything they were supposed to and taking forever, we got to the lake and had no boat plug. Thank goodness we checked first. Called and Matt didn't give any apologies...just said that they aren't expensive to replace. Terrible service and literally no communication skills. 1/2 star, do NOT recommend. read more
