A friend had business on the North side coast of Nayarit and this was on the way. About 40 min North of Puerto Vallarta proper. How convenient! Now I'm not sure what when or how owner Maria Gomez Guerrero learned how to make ice cream when she was only 13, but like the many amazing and talented artists we have seen knock it out of the park in our lifetime, she is a true impresario. Maria manages to entertain and amaze our tastebuds with her Vegan Ice Cream made from real fruits, nuts, chocolate, vegetables, spices. It's all here. Cones, smoothies, sundaes and other frozen treats. Not sure what the base is made of but it's better than traditional ice cream for sure. Changing her health and lifestyle was motivation for drive to re create ice creams of her childhood yet make them plant based. And we all know the options have been limited even while traveling. We sampled the Mexican Chocolate, Strawberry and Coconut flavors. Seasonal this Summer is Pistachio. The only way to describe the flavor and texture of this ice cream is - stupendous!
