Waymon is the person I initially met and worked most closely with during the process of trying to purchase my vehicle. When it comes to him, 15/5!!**** As far as everything goes On the day that I picked up my vehicle, I CALLED AHEAD to let them know I was on the way. Once I arrived, I spent over an hour filling out the necessary paperwork, just to be given the keys to a DIRTY VEHICLE!! When I say "dirty" I mean literal DIRT and ick inside my newly purchased vehicle! It was as if they had the car had been dropped off from the previous owner the same fucking day, and hadn't been touched again until they were handing me the keys I couldn't even enjoy the moment of having a new car. When I brought this up to the employees that handed me the keys, they shrugged shoulders and informed me that the person in charge of cleaning/detailing the vehicle wasn't there, and that the lesser employee who half-ass "cleaned" my car wasn't already gone for the day. UNACCEPTABLE! All of this is happening around 5-5:30ish pm, dealership doesn't close until 8pm. Sooooo, after a certain point in the day are yall just giving people dirty cars???? That shit makes no sense. I visited multiple dealerships before finding my car at this one. Looking back I truly wish I would've been able to find my car at one of those other locations. Overall exhausted and thoroughly disappointed with my experience (didn't even including management trying agressively persuading financing through them, KNOWING I was already approved, the price being listed completely different online, etc). Unless you have found your must-have, everything-you-want car at Hoover, go somewhere else. If you have to come here, go in defense up, head on the swivel and please have your own loan pre-approval, cause they will try you like a baser ‍

During my most recent visit, I took my car to him because a hose busted and leaked the coolant. Not long after getting it repaired, another hose busted so I took it back to him. I can't say, for sure, that he caused it but I was suspicious of the fact that something else had gone wrong so soon after getting it back from him, plus this particular hose was not that old. Both of the recent times that my car was there, it was towed to him. Hour after hour would pass and I'd be calling to see if the car was received and asking for an update about my car, but no answer. Finally, after hearing back I was told the job was done. I find that very odd and sneaky. I've never seen someone just complete a job without calling first to let the customer know what has to be done and the cost. It's almost like he wanted me to feel obligated to accept the job since it was already done. Anyway, immediately after getting my car back, I notice the check engine light is on and there was a funny sound. So, I go back. He attempts to tell me that things can go wrong at any time. But again, I find it more than coincidental that something just happens to go wrong, again, after him working on it, especially when I have NEVER had a check engine light come on. He then proceeds to tell me to pop the hood and he fiddles in my engine saying he wanted to make sure he had everything connected. After failing an emissions test, I eventually, took my car to another shop. Thank God the new place had an owner who is honest and who kept me informed. After getting my car and doing the diagnostics, he asked if someone else had worked on my car recently. I told him that someone had (Crest Truck & Auto). Well, the guy at the new shop tells me that a vacuum hose was left disconnected and that was probably the cause of my check engine light and all of the issues my car was having. Again, thank God the new guy was honest. He reconnected the hose and only charged me the diagnostic fee. There is no doubt in my mind that the guy at Crest Auto purposely left the hose disconnected for the sole purpose of having me come back to him and have to pay for an issue that was not really even an issue. Rather, it was an issue he created. I don't think, at all, it was an accident. But, hypothetically, let's say it was. It still points to his messy and unprofessional work. I'm thankful that I didn't fall for his trap, but it still cost me having to pay someone else's diagnostic fee and pay for emissions testing twice. I should have avoided this shop after the first time that I took my car there. During that visit, he bled my system. His price was reasonable and he seemed decent so I thought I had found a good mechanic to go to. But during that same visit, I also asked him how much it would cost to replace one tire sensor that was broken. When I spoke to him on the phone, he told me that all four of my tire sensors were bad. However, I was already aware that only 1 sensor was bad, because I was told by the tire shop who replaced all of my tires. And to think, I almost wondered if maybe the tire shop was mistaken... However, when I went back to them and got just the one tire sensor replaced, I never had an issue again. This means that the guy at Crest Auto was lying and more than willing to charge me "to replace" 3 tire sensors that were perfectly fine. Also during this same visit, as I was paying with my credit card, I swiped it but, thankfully, I noticed that he had put the wrong amount. If I remember correctly, it was an extra $100 dollars. I informed him and, of course, he made it seem like a mistake. But, given all of his other shady behaviors, I'm not buying that. I think he wanted to try his luck, in hopes that I wouldn't notice and would accept the charges. The moral of this story is, don't go here. Even the tow truck driver commented, "If it were me, I wouldn't take my car there."

Apparently, "appointment" means something entirely different to them. When I arrived, the shop was packed with multiple cars ahead of me. I was then informed that my appointment wasn't actually for service--it was just for them to acknowledge that I needed work done. Excuse me? That's not what an appointment is for! An appointment should mean that my vehicle is scheduled for a specific time slot, not that I get to sit around waiting like a walk-in customer. This was a complete waste of my time. If I had known an appointment meant nothing here, I could have gone elsewhere or planned accordingly. Express Oil Change needs to rethink their scheduling system or stop pretending to take appointments altogether. Absolutely ridiculous.
