I brought my Dodge Challenger here specifically for a persistent noise, wobble, and vibration. I clearly explained the symptoms and specifically told them the issue needed to be evaluated while driving. After their "diagnostic," I was told my rotors were warped and agreed to repairs totaling about $2,200, believing they had actually identified the problem I came in for. They didn't. The original noise, wobble, and vibration were still there. I brought the car back, and suddenly they discovered that my driveshaft was completely loose--and now I'm being quoted another $1,500+ just for the part. How does a shop perform a diagnostic for noise, wobbling, and vibration and completely miss a major driveline issue? I spent thousands of dollars based on their diagnosis, the actual problem was never fixed, and now I'm expected to spend thousands more for something that should have been identified the first time. At this point, I feel completely taken advantage of. I would not trust this shop with another repair. read more

Rating: 5/5 I can't say enough good things about this automotive shop! They first worked on my 2011 Maxima back in 2022 when I needed a radiator replacement. My car was overheating, but after they replaced the radiator, I haven't had a single problem since. So when my Maxima recently started leaking oil from multiple places -- the valves, valve pan, and O-ring -- I didn't hesitate to bring it back to them for a tune-up. Once again, they did an incredible job! My car now runs like it's brand new, and I couldn't be more pleased. The team is not only highly skilled but also professional, honest, and very forthright. They kept me in the loop throughout the entire process, explaining exactly what needed to be done and making sure I was comfortable with everything before moving forward. I was especially impressed by how the mechanic remembered my car from two years ago! He hadn't seen me since 2022, but he knew my vehicle right away, which shows the level of care and personal service they offer. The quality of work and customer service here is so impressive that we've officially replaced our dealership with them! I recently dropped off my Nissan Rogue for repairs, and we plan to bring my son's Honda here as well. This is the shop we trust for all our vehicle needs going forward. WTF is wrong with this? I went to Braxton Automotive for a simple oil change on my 2006 Toyota Prius. I was informed that unless I have the ABS on my car fixed (to the tune of $3000) that Braxton Automotive would NOT do the oil change on my car. Recently took my 2010 Honda Accord here for some much needed servicing! I literally live walking distance from this place, and figured that it was my best option as far as convenience and quality to get my car in top shape. Braxton is very thorough and detailed when they do their inspections. They take pictures of all the issues they find, then rank them from most to least critical. I'm so thankful I took my car to them when I did, because my oil pan was destroyed (possibly from a previous service at another shop) and there is no telling when it would have fallen out, leaving me stranded. They also found a lot of other smaller issues that could turn into larger problems if not fixed now. They may not be the cheapest, but I think for the quality and reliable work, it's worth it. read more

Don't take your car here. There are much better auto shops in Atlanta. The caliper on my Acura fell off after the dealership changed my brakes. Looking for a better place than the dealership to service my car I found this place. Despite telling them what the problem was, they insisted on a diagnostic test that costs ~$175 (don't remember the exact price) but even my AAA tow truck driver thought it was exorbitant. What they quoted to fix my car and the extra things they found like like replacing air filters (very easy things to do) was grossly overpriced. I'm not one to downplay the experience and expertise people and businesses bring to the table but there's a difference between making a profit, and gouging your customers. After discussing my options with the flippant front desk associate, he told me "we're not interested in working in your car." As rude as he was, at least we were on the same page, I wasn't interested in their "services" anymore either. I paid their highly priced diagnostic fee and had my car towed to another shop, who fixed my car at a reasonable price with no issues. There are plenary of autoshops in Atlanta that aren't gouging their customers and at least know the basics of customer service. I recommend going there instead. read more

Brought my Infiniti here after having issues with the car completely dying and the first place not being able to fix it. Braxton Automotive was able to fix it in a day. The people are friendly and honest. They don't suggest random services or pressure you to get anything done on the car that isn't absolutely necessary. read more

I came here for the first time because I felt the Nissan dealership was not effectively completing all my repairs. When I took it to the shop to be examined they found out exactly what I was thinking. To make a long story short they were able to give me a detailed look at every issue me car was having. Showed me where previous missteps where taken. And gave me a reasonable price for getting it fixed. I loved the attention to detail. They even emailed me an inspection result which included pictures and videos so you I can see each little issue and make informed decisions for myself. I came here for an oil change and was happy with the service, which was very quick even though I had no appointment. The service was costly, though. For my 2010 Prius, I ended up getting the synthetic oil change which was over $60. The non-synthetic option was only slightly lower than that. Considering how infrequently I need oil changes I may keep going here, but the price does seem somewhat high. read more

I had a piece of string wrapped around my axle that was causing a vibration at high speeds, and they took care of it, test drove it again, and said the vibration is gone now. I haven't taken it out back on the highway yet, but I believe it to be fixed. (I'll update if it wasn't) I didn't shop around for prices, so I can't say they are the cheapest place to get things done. What I can say is that all the staff was pleasant and professional and took the time to explain things to me. Ricky, the manager there, took the time to answer my questions, even ones unrelated to the issue, showing me what part of the car did what. The only thing is that I wish they were more upfront at the beginning about how they priced. I was told that it would be about $50 if a tire rotation would solve the problem, but it turned out to be the string, and that was $100 (they also fixed the direction of a directional tire, did a general maintenance check, and topped off my fluids). It was reasonable, but I just wasn't aware of it at the beginning. I trust that they will make any issue right that was brought forth to them. They want repeat, happy customers. I would go again. I have been taking my car to Braxton Automotive for any and all repairs / maintenance that it needs ever since they were able to diagnose and fix an issue that Lexus could not. I trust their work and don't worry about them doing something wrong. They are always professional and it is because of their diligence that my car is running today. My car was out of commission for 6 WEEKS and the dealership service department had it for a week, diagnosed it incorrectly, and didn't fix the problem. I had it towed to Braxton - they had it for 5 days, diagnosed it correctly, repaired it and it has been running great ever since. That was in December 2018. read more

Geesh! Can't get a quote. Never experienced this before. Great promotional speech caring about my safety on the road and having to do an evaluation but all I wanted was a quote. Just a quote for brakes. I'm hopeful the company has performed brake service before on my make and model and know an average cost, why is this difficult? I don't have time travel to the shop and wait for an evaluation/inspection then possibly receive a price I'm not willing to pay. So frustrating. read more

A business that still tries to take advantage of women is one I'll never do business with again! My daughter took her car there because the A/C fan wasn't blowing. They had the car for seven hours and late in the day she was told it needed a new compressor and/or condenser for $2600-$3000!! We knew that was NOT the problem because of diagnostics we'd already performed. AND, because the fan didn't work on the heat or A/C. I asked the counterman the status of her car and received a completely different explanation than was given my daughter a half hour earlier. He told ME they thought it was an electrical problem that they were still trying to trace it. I asked him why I was given a different explanation than my daughter and got the "deer in the headlights look". Instead of providing an explanation, he quickly said "well, if you don't believe me, I'll just go get your keys." He went into the shop and grabbed the keys from the ignition. He told us we could leave now. He didn't have to reassemble ANYTHING or even close the hood! And he didn't ask to be paid for any of the work they allegedly performed. All very suspicious. The following day she took the car to a different shop and they replaced the blower which solved the problem. WOMEN BEWARE! These guys STILL don't get it. read more
