Genuinely won't be going back to this location. - I have no issues with the car wash itself but the staff is so extremely pushy. I have been here twice for a singular car wash and both times it was like pulling teeth to get through without buying the membership. Our car needed a wash so we came to Soapy Joe's since we were nearby. The previous car wash (prior to Soapy Joe's buying them out) was awesome - great water pressure and our car would always come out clean... until now. The place was busy on a Saturday after 5pm. After running it through the wash, the drying stations were full but eventually we got a spot. There were still dirty spots on the car that we had to use the towels to rub them off. We suspect the pressure may have been turned down since the new ownership. There were plenty of towels. The vacuums were all working. I am extremely disappointed and upset with the service I received today at Soapy Joe's. Before entering the wash tunnel, I clearly signaled to the attendant to spray the front and back of my vehicle. He looked directly at me but did not respond or pause the process to assist. At that moment, my driver's window was rolled down about three-quarters of the way. Because he did not stop the wash, he rushed to hand me the air freshener, and water immediately sprayed into my vehicle--spraying my pants, shirt, face, steering wheel, and driver's seat. As a long-time customer, I have never experienced anything like this. The lack of attention and disregard for basic customer service is unacceptable. Unfortunately, this incident has made me unwilling to return. Given the circumstances, I respectfully request a refund for today's wash. read more

This is the ONLY location that does what it advertises. Other areas I have gone to soapy joes- Miramar road down to Chula Vista. Today was Chula Vista. My car was shined and didn't have water spots and I was in the wash for a longer time than in others. When I was at the tire shine section I thought the track had stopped! I panicked. Finally my ca moved. The machine actually took its time. The dryers were good. But I came out and was stunned there were no spots. I asked if the company is a franchise because there was no consistency. The employee didn't know. Better than Super star for sure. I have given this location so many tries and I don't know why I keep going back, but today was the final straw. I was driving my car up to buy my car wash selection and this female attendant came up and I said I am OK. I got it. I don't need your help so she let me go about my business following her not even 30 seconds later. A male attendant named "Martin" came up to me as I'm trying to make a purchase and stood very close and I told him I don't need his help as well and he continued to harass me for three minutes seemed more like a century. He was adamant about standing in my personal space as I continue to tell him that I don't need his help and he can move away from me and he didn't. This is a form of harassment and I will not stand for it! I have already contacted corporate and will be filing a formal complaint. Whatever happened to the customer is always right if you're telling one of the workers that you don't need their help to purchase a car wash then they should respect the fact that you need personal space and walk away! I really dislike this location one, because they took out a business I really liked that offered more to the consumer but also was MADE for a mid tier business in terms of volume. Buying this location out and trying to use it for a Soapy Joe's is a joke. I really don't even mess with trying to vacuum and lately my car isn't getting even remotely clean. The one in IB is much better and has more room. Trying to navigate the overcrowded vacuum area is nuts. Also due to that and people waiting sometimes it will push you out of the washer and into a car that's stopped waiting for the vacuum area. It's a mess. read more

This evening I went through the car wash, and I had some reindeer ears on my car, and I forgot that they were there went through the car wash, and then when I was coming out the other side, I rolled down the window, a little bit and one of the little plastic pieces fell off my car One of the employees from this car wash decided to pick it up and throw it at the back of my car, he didn't do any kind of damage or anything like that, but it very much upset me that they would do something like that I have been purchasing the $39 car wash per month for over a year now and I canceled it today because I don't want to do business with someone that their employees would treat customers in that manner. Changed the closing time without any notice of the change, prices rose in the past couple years, and there is regularly not any clean towels in the vacuum area. Both the IB and this location always has at least one of their scrubbers not functioning, and the IB location has been closed in the middle of the day a few times for seemingly no reason.. maintain the machines with the extra hour you have now closing earlier (also you should probably update your operating times on your ad emails since they still advertise closing at 9pm). Soapy Joe's used to be great but ever since they have made an expansion push quality/satisfaction has gone down and prices have gone up. read more

At this point I feel it's a scam to people who actually pay for the memberships because they're paying regardless if the machines work or not. Which is why I'll never become a member. Before this car wash became a Soapy Joes, the service was excellent and actually received what I paid for (actual tire "shine"). Coming to this location was the worst experience I have had in a while. First, I paid for the "Magic" Joe selection - checked the tires and it didn't have any product. I asked the worker to check and he argued that I should have got the membership. He insisted that I always went there which I never said so that he can justify that I should've purchased the membership in the first place. He did not know how to handle the situation so I spoke with **Ivan**, the manager. He was very disrespectful and gave excuses on how their tire shine was not working. He asked if I wanted to run my car through the wash though I questioned if that will make a difference. I asked for his business card and he gave me a membership card. I was rear-ended while on the conveyor belt going through the wash! The employee stationing the vehicles saw everything happen and said nothing to me. He stopped the wash, spoke to the lady who hit my car, and then started the wash and pushed us through. This location lacks respect and doesn't value its customers. I recommend you retrain your employees to station the vehicles. Someone has to held accountable and the fact that I can't even talk to the employee and he didn't even mention it to site management isn't looking good. This car wash is terrible. First off, the price went from $6 to $13 for a basic car wash. Secondly, they do not brush off the front of your car before entering the car wash anymore.
