He showed up in a pickup truck and I was confused because we hired him to tow the car to Lihue. My wife and 2 kids were there alone, so I was talking to the owner, Chason Manoi by phone. The car was disabled with a transmission problem. Chason was able to get the car into gear, but the dash screen showed a warning message that the transmission had a problem and not to drive it. Because of the dash warning, I insisted that Chason either tow the car or follow my family from that remote location to Lihue, since it was a transmission problem and could happen again. Chason promised that he would follow my family in the car, but then broke his promise and immediately left them alone, far from a town, in a car that was still broken. He stopped responding to texts and calls and kept the $1570. He never gave my family any receipt or paperwork, as required by the agreement I signed when I prepaid for the tow. The Hawaii Office of Consumer Protection sent them a demand letter, but Pa'A Hana Towing ignored that too. I don't usually leave reviews and have never left a negative review, but Pa'A Hana Towing was so dishonest in the way they treated us that I feel I have to... so that it doesn't happen to other people.

When driver showed up he didn't say a word - seriously not even hi. Looked like he did a good job at securing my vehicle so not giving a one star. Needed another tow the next day. They didn't show up, did not answer their phone or respond to text. AAA called them 3 times with no answer. I get island time but would hope for just plain honesty when it comes to eta's and good business practices of answering the phone and showing up.
