Amanda is a very skilled chiropractor she uses a gentle method and teaches you techniques to utilize and Aid your back and getting better. A different chiropractor I had been going to before her would simply crack Me 3 times and send me out the door. I feel Amanda worked better at listening and explaining how I could get better. By the time I was done with my treatments my back was better than it has ever been before the accident. Kathleen is a massage Therapist she is very skilled on working out trouble spots she listens to where your pain and problems are and works on those areas. and also teaches you exercises and stretches to relieve pain and increase Mobility. For many years before my accident. I had back pain that I had tolerated in my mid-back. the issues from my accident in my back were in my low back and high back. They explain to me they have to start from the bottom and work their way up to keep everything in line and working the way it should. I am happy to say it's been 3 years and it has not returned and I credit these two wonderful ladies and they're skillful for work. After hurting myself again recently during a home improvement project I have found myself back in this clinic and their skillful hands I am grateful they are there to help us there an asset to our community.

The receptionist was very talkative about her personal life and things that she was saying made me more nervous. She even lifted up her shirt at one point and showed me surgical scars on her stomach from getting her ovaries removed while she was doing my X-rays when I didn't ask and I just stood there awkwardly. The doctor smelt like urine and was very hard on my body when I was just involved in a car accident 6 days ago. He also said "definitely a female" when checking off my gender on the computer. He kept complaining that I was too tense and I needed to relax when I was anxious and unable to calm down. He touched me with his bare hands the whole time without gloves and was touching me aggressively on my head and my back side. A man in the lobby told me to suck water out of the water bubbler instead of getting the cup that I asked for. And the receptionist just laughed while the doctor stood there and said nothing. I wanted to leave the minute I got there but I was too anxious to say anything. I ended up crying to my fiance on the phone when I got into the car and I will never go back to this establishment. At the time I thought they were great, and she basically is fine, but there are a few things I take issue with in retrospect. One is that they wanted me to come in all the time and assured me that it was absolutely necessary, so on a low income (I was serving in Americorps at the time,) I was paying a 50% co-pay on $52 per visit three times a week. When I made my first appointment, no one warned me that it would cost $250. And they told me that they took my insurance, Group Health, and that it covered chiropractic, when actually it only covered chiropractic after back surgery. I was later sent a bill for over $700. The other is that their motto was "A Woman's Gentle Touch." Roxanne is reasonably gentle, and probably better than many male chiropractors about being gentle. But they were using standard manual adjustments, which are the stereotypical "crack your bones" shoves, twists, pops and pokes. If you want truly gentle adjustments, look for a chiropractor who practices Blair Technique or uses a drop table. It's possible to do completely silent, motionless adjustments which are painless, and in my opinion as a bodyworker, more effective. My new chiropractor does things that way and then tests nerve response to see that the adjustment was effective, and it's amazing - and he doesn't even recommend that I come in three times a week, much less ask me to. Other than that, though, the office is clean, the staff is polite, it's basically a nice establishment if your insurance covers it and manual adjustments are the kind you like.

Each time I saw her she seemed frazzled, unorganized and unable to retain the information from our previous visit. Since I had already been prescribed medication from a previous medical doctor for menopause, when I asked what her treatment recommendation would be, she literally said to me "well I don't want to step on anyone's toes to suggest something else." I was absolutely stunned. Your job as a doctor is to put the health of your patients first. Period. Not cater to the ego of whatever doctor I have seen in the past. How bizarre! At least once she was 20 minutes late and not only did she not acknowledge being so late, she acted as if I was the one who was late (with an irritated sigh stating 'well we don't have much time so lets get to what we can'). I was baffled to have my time cut short while seemingly being blamed for it because I know she saw me in the waiting room, right on time. (Yet I was charged for a full visit of course). Also, she only works part-time so anytime I would have a question for her I would have to wait days for a response, and on one occasion I had to email twice and call twice to get a response from this clinic on a specific dosage request that was time-sensitive. The end result is that Dr. Skedd made my health worse. After being diagnosed with SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth) she told me she would have to prescribe me with an antibiotic that would worsen my condition, and then another antibiotic that would worsen it still (or at least not help) before my insurance would agree to pay for the actual antibiotic that would help. This is not medical care. This is medical injury. She also misled me about the cost of the SIBO test. She said I would only have to pay $100 which I did in office and then I was billed over $200 additional after the fact for the test. Thankfully I found Dr. Joy at SISU Health who contracts with a Canadian pharmacy that is able to send me the exact right antibiotic prescription for $100. Dr. Joy also knows how to treat menopause. My health has improved under her care. I recommend Dr. Joy highly, she can be reached at SISU Health 253-549-9216.

She was able to get down to the bottom of my stomach issues (SIBO) when other doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. I've also seen Dr. Johnson and he was very good as well. Oops. I was able to find a much friendlier equally competent OB/GYN at my local Multicare Clinic in the town she won't visit.
