We purchased 2 very expensive Swivel Recliners from Sobe in Boca Raton... I asked the Sales person if I needed to purchase Batteries for the recliners? His response was "NO you do not", then he crawled under the chair to point to the installed battery in the demo chair! We came back multiple times after comparing other chairs and decided to pay $4,842 for the Recliners because they had integral batteries! Chairs were delivered today without the 2 $250 batteries!!! I contacted SoBe and there was no manager avail to speak to, and the customer service person I spoke to said "they could lose their job If they gave me batteries"... I went to several furniture stores on Federal Highway in Boca. Stopped in to this one and was greeted by Hector(or Henrico? Sorry-can't remember for sure). Very friendly, but also very pushy. He was bragging about how busy they were and how popular they are- the store was empty for the whole time I was there (over an hour). He claimed it was because "I came right before lunch-after lunch, this place will be SO busy"). I asked him what I said that made him think I was stupid to believe that line of crap. Nice furniture, but I found some of the SAME items cheaper elsewhere.... So between the pushiness and prices, I won't be going back. read more

This is by far the best modern furniture store in the area. Of course their furniture is gorgeous and their leathers are amazing. The sales staff is awesomely helpful too. Thais (Tati) is our favorite. She is such a lovely person. The delivery & set up men are simply wonderful. They are efficient and so careful especially with heavy things having to get to the 2nd floor. Their customer service is wonderful too. They can answer a question before u even ask If you want super service, beautiful items Sobe is the place to go. SoBE (south beach) stylin in your home. This furniture shop is so cute. They have some great style of modern furniture. I love the south beach feel and many of the white color options to make your house crisp and modern looking. They have furniture from all over so ask where it's made because that makes a difference. We were on the quest of finding the perfect dining table but needed at least a 8 seater. We actually liked one with extensions however we did not like the balance of the extensions. We felt over time it would be a bit lopsided.I really liked their sofa selection as well in their showroom. They had some great styles and sizes. The sales associate was really nice and helpful. We spoke to her about their inventory online which seemed much more extensive and the prices seemed better as well. She informed us that they do carry less in their showcase. But also online they have some styles in less price depending on what material they are using there. I personally would rather pay alittle more if I know the material is good. That makes a huge difference in furniture. This is in Boca off of Federal Hwy. Perfect place to buy a few furniture items.~ read more

We bought a dining set less than three years ago and the chairs have fallen apart. Worse than the chairs is the customer service. They refuse to do anything about it. They claim that although it is the same name and same location it is new management so they are not responsible. Just awful read more

Bought some pieces of furniture here. I bought a bed and headboard 4 yrs ago, but do not live in Florida. In the last 4 years, I have spent about a year here. One piece of the leather is disintegrating, and Sobe will not do anything about it. I was told that SOBE WENT BANKRUPT AND THEY ARE NOT IN BUSINESS ANYMORE. I have never heard of furniture falling apart like this The customer service is fine UNTIL you have a problem! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!! read more

Don't listen to them or believe what's on the receipt about custom made furniture taking 10-12 weeks. I'm still waiting and it'll be 16 weeks next week. Each time I call, I'm told it "just shipped or it's on the road" blah blah. I know I'll finally get the items, but GOOD customer service would be to keep in touch with the customer and let them know that it's delayed or at least that it's on its way. BTW, I paid a boatload of money for the furniture because I did not want to buy off Wayfair or Overstock or any of the big box stores. read more

We had a list of the things we wanted to look at, and Hector showed us the items they had - Explained all the differences, offered options, made sure we were comfortable - in short - everything a real salesperson is supposed to do. There was no way we were leaving without buying - and that's thanks to him. He even made special arrangements for a Monday delivery to accommodate our schedules. Love, love, love! If you're looking for the perfect spot to find super inspiring contemporary and modern furniture (and decor!) for your spot here in paradise, this is it. No pushy salespeople auditioning for a role as your personal shadow here (not sure about you, but I seriously CANNOT stand that when I'm attempting to visualize how an item will fit my space) just a relaxed vibe with the freedom to browse to your furniture loving heart's content. The quality of the items on the floor is top notch and whoever is in charge of their decor department clearly has an eye for stand out pieces that will make a space pop.  Let's talk art pieces.  Specifically acrylic frame art pieces. I cannot say enough about this service.Obviously, you need to hang the piece strategically. *Eye roll* But can we just get back to the point, which is that you can have ANY PICTURE you want turned into what looks like a gallery showcase quality piece of wall art? Absolutely the worst experience! Waited 3 months for a custom bedroom set. Product was defective. Leather was yellowing. They acknowledge the defective leather, yet don't want to refund my money. I actually have to take them to small claims court. They are many other furniture stores out there, do not use this one. What merchant just wouldn't want you to be happy and give you a refund. read more

Worst retail experience I have ever had. I thought I ordered a custom made leather sofa then later found out that it was fake leather., which they claimed I "chose". NO! Because I had been offered $200 off the $4,000 price ; the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Affairs were "satisfied" with them. Neither Agency takes any action anyway; I would have to go to small claims court. At any rate, its a long story, which I won't go into. I thought I was a pretty knowledgeable consumer, but somehow wound up with something totally not what I wanted. I was extremely disappointed in that there was no sincere attempt to rectify the situation. I have bought a lot of merchandise over the years, hi-end, and not so hi-end and have never had such a negative experience. Sobe Furniture Pembroke Pines (if it is still open) and Boca Raton, have the same owners, or Principals. I certainly would never shop there again. Terrible experience. They are most definitely my first choice for amazing furniture because not only is the actual quality of the items always impressive, but they are so responsible when it comes to always being there on time for deliveries and always producing exactly what I envisioned in my spaces. Don't trust these people...the management here has no integrity and is unscrupulous!! They do not stand behind their word or their contract. I was sold a five year insurance policy and when I unfortunately had to file a claim two years later The insurance vendor said Sobe Furniture had no business selling me insurance and my purchase was uninsurable. They could not help me with my claim and I would have to go back to Sobe as they were negligent in taking my $360 for the policy. I walked into the furniture store with my receipts in hand and they just told me I could not prove anything and the person that sold me the policy was no longer there so too bad for you. This person was a Sobe furniture representative and they should stand behind their contracts. Not a reputable business would never do business with them again. Scan Design is right down the street and much better quality in both their staff and their product! read more

Beautiful clean contemporary furniture with a modern design style. There was no pressure to buy, just a helpful staff that easily answered all my questions. They are definitely $$$ so expect high-end price points but I got 5% off for the Yelp deal and was able to finance for 24 months at 0% and walk away with the perfect Italian leather sofa, a modern platform bed, two nightstands, and a stunning glass top modern dining room table and chairs. I shopped around and this was def the best value as I saw similar styles elsewhere at 20-30% more. Very happy with SoBe and my new additions. Will def be shopping here again for my next round to get some modern accent chairs, a white leather bench for the bedroom, a coffee table for the living room, a sleek tv stand I have my eye on, and a few other odds and ends. Oh and some art on the flat metal canvas they now have that is simply perfect for my home. Love it here. Let me just say that I am one satisfied customer! My entire experience was wonderful... So I'm in the market for a new sofa and decided to walk into SOBE, here I'm thinking wow this store has to be way over my budget just by the looks of it. The store has some of the most beautiful and elegant modern furniture I have ever seen (see photos), and the overall feel in the store is one of money and class. I was so amazingly surprised to find a sofa way in my budget. The prices were so reasonable in comparison to some of the other stores in the neighborhood, that I ended up splurging on a little more then I thought. But thats just the pricing experience. On to the customer service... I was greeted by a wonderful sales woman who was so attentive and sweet the whole time. But the thing I loved is how she wasn't pushy either. Some of the stores have their sales people just straight up stock you and attack the minute you walk in, And if you go into these nicer ones they'll actually follow you everywhere, as if your going to steal. That has many times made me walk out by itself. Well not here, the attentiveness was on key. Now onto delivery... Everything got to my place at the precise time frame that I was told, their delivery men where just wonderful, they babied my furniture on the way in... Making sure not to ding it or be rough with it. They completely built it and put it together, and then placed it precisely where I wanted it and never once bumped anything on the way in. By far one of my favorite experiences with a business. Will be back and will refer... :-D read more

NOT GOOD ! The furniture looks great but falls apart about a year later. I bought a sectional from Sobe Furniture & the entire sectional fell apart in about a year. My husband had to repair it; he used wood, hardware and fabric (he spend about 8 hours reinforcing it with wood and had to staple the upholstery back together). A few years later the cushions and the underneath disintegrated. and resulted in me having to sweep the den daily (bits & pieces of brown pieces everywhere) When I called SoBe I was referred to the manufacture (Poundex) who doesn't deal with customers directly. I was left stranded. The initial customer service was great, but once we called with a problem they just passed the buck from one person to another.
