Dr. Priscilla Lee and her practice has been the biggest blessing for me and my family. A friend had recommended SoCal Family Acupuncture because she was able to conceive within 2 months of acupuncture treatment after 8 YEARS of trying with no luck. I've been trying to get pregnant for 17 years with no success. I started seeing infertility doctors 7 years ago and was told I had unexplained infertility. My husband and I want to thank Dr. Lee from the bottom of our hearts for giving us the best gift possible--the gift of life. Prior to seeking treatment, my husband and I had been trying to conceive for three years before undergoing fertility tests and learning that my husband had low motility/poor sperm morphology and that I have endometriosis with one tube blocked and a very low egg count. Our fertility specialist at the time recommended undergoing a laparoscopy to remove the endometrial tissue and then attempt to conceive through IUI. UPDATE - I expected Dr. Lee would have a rebuttal for my post. In response to his reply, I stuck to his recommended diet for the year and did not "relapse" as he stated. It was only after I had another miscarriage and sought out treatments from a different doctor when she told me there was no need for food restrictions, did I "relapse." We also later found out I actually had mild anemia, so I reintroduced red meat back into my diet. These all contradicted Dr. Lee's recommendation, and is what made me question whether his treatment was personalized for my specific health and needs. I do admit I might have misspoken. Looking back at my calendar, I noticed I didn't get to see him on a weekly basis due to the distance, work schedule, and/or his limited availability because his calendar fills up quickly and you have to book in advance to get the times you need. If my calculations are correct, I saw him for a total of 24 times, which should be pretty close to the 6 month duration he keeps mentioning. Finally, I believe my biggest issue was not with conceiving but with staying pregnant and preventing miscarriage. I had the same outcome (miscarriage) when under his care, as well as before I went to his office for treatments. It would make sense that when the outcome stays the same from pre- and post-intervention, it means the intervention had no effect, right? This leads me to believe his method did not work for me. Again, I said his method works for SOME people, as you can clearly see from all the other 5 star reviews and photos on his walls, so maybe you will find more success with him if you have different issues from mine. I was under the care of the new doctor for half a year, to wait for my body to heal and respond to her herbal medicine, before attempting IUI #2 (which again was a success and what led to baby girl). I can only say that based on anecdotal information alone, I clearly saw drastic improvements that I did not experience with Dr. Lee. Since he adamantly believes everyone who did not experience success with him are those who did not follow his regimen, you would think I would have trouble getting and staying pregnant once I stopped treatments with him and "relapsed" on the diet for that half a year. My baby proves this was not the case. So please just be humble and accept not all patients find success with your method. It's okay :) read more

Flash forward a few years after my son was born, my husband and I have decided to do the acupuncture treatments again since we had no luck after trying for over a year. I started trying for a baby 2 1/2 years ago. Two different fertility specialists told us we fell into the "unexplained infertility" category. I went through 5 failed iuis and one ectopic pregnancy that left me devastated. I quit my job (trying to alleviate any stress), went to therapy, joined a support group, meditated, got back in my exercise routine, & still wasn't ready for IVF. Three different people told me to see Dr. Lee. I told myself, worst case it would get my body in the best condition for IVF. I became pregnant in 2 months with Dr. Lee. An acquaintance recommended Dr. Lee saying all of the friends they recommended Dr. Lee to had a 100% success rate of becoming pregnant. After some thought, my husband and I decided to give it a shot. Here is my fertility history: - We started the process of getting ourselves check for fertility in early 2013. - in April of that same year, we found out we were pregnant. However, we had an early miscarriage at 7 weeks. - Fast forward to 2014, I had a laparoscopy to remove an endometriosis (stage 3/4) from my right ovary in February. - We started going to Dr. Lee three months later, in May. - A month later, we found out we were pregnant. -We continued going to Dr. Lee during our first trimester and took the herbal medicine and progesterone cream prescribed by the doctor. -Now I'm 23 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby boy. * A note about cost: - First consultation with acupuncture and herbs: $275 - Acupuncture treatment $85, but $5 off with each yelp check-in. - Herbal medicine $30 per bottle. (how quickly you go through a bottle depends on how many pills the doctor tells you to take) - Tube of progesterone cream $30 We got pregnant the month we started with Dr. Lee and continued going until the end of first trimester, which cost us about $2000. The doctor recommends giving the acupuncture and herbal medicine about 3 to 4 months to work, so if you get pregnant at the end of 3 to 4 months of treatment, and continue going during your first trimester (which is what the doctor recommends), i would think that the total bill will come out to be about $4-5k. With that said, it still costs less than IVF treatments and less intense on the body and mind. I strongly recommend going this route for couples having a hard time conceiving and have already gotten fertility tests done. This review is long overdue. I found Dr Lee by a simple google search, which changed my life. After 2.5 years of trying to have a baby, of going through endless tests for both my husband and myself, only to be told that there was nothing wrong with us. We tried clomid cycles, we tried IUI, we tried combination clomid/injectables IUI, we tried it all. After spending over $5k at the fertility doctor, I mentally couldn't take it anymore. I knew my RE wanted to move to IVF, but I wasn't ready to put myself through that. We took a six month break, trying naturally again. I finally searched for a fertility acupuncturist, after reading about it on a message board. This led me to Dr. Lee. My first visit with Dr Lee, I felt better. Not due to the treatment (honestly, I can't remember that far back, it would have been in March or April 2014), but because, after I told Dr Lee that there wasn't anything wrong with us and I couldn't figure out why were weren't getting pregnant, he looked me in the eye and told me, "Marie, there is something wrong. I just "graduated" from Dr. Lee's office and I am now in my second trimester with my second child. I am a little older and I was having an issue with egg quality. I only wish that I had found Dr. Lee when I was trying to have my first since I went through 4 failed IVF attempts. I think it would have been a lot less with Dr. Lee. I was seeing a different acupuncturist during my first attempts and even though the office was great, they didn't put me on a special diet that would help me with my problem. Yes, Dr. Lee's office is busy, and he has a specific way of running the office to be able to keep up with the demand and keep things running on time. He really knows what he is doing and I have no problem on how he runs his office. There's a reason why he's in high demand, he gets women pregnant when they feel it's not going happen. He takes enough time at each appointment and if I ever have anything to talk about with him he's there to listen and advise. If you have a question that you forget, he will call you back the same day and he always makes time for his patients. So for the other reviews about his office and staff that are negative I would take them for what they are (opinion) and check it out yourself. For my personal experiance the staff was always nice and after I had another failed IVF cycle, I started seeing Dr. Lee and after three months in treatment I was able to get pregnant on my second IUI cycle in the 4th month. My husband and I started our fertility journey 3 years ago. At the beginning of 2018 we decided to see a medical doctor. Test after test came back just fine-- congratulations they said. It's so frustrating to hear that "everything's fine but also we're unable to help you further, how about IVF?" I found Dr. Lee during my soul searching about IVF. His reviews were full of hope as woman after woman reported a successful pregnancy. My husband and I decided to try it for 6 months and then do IVF. I made my first appointment that day. What can I say, after trying method after method without luck in our pregnancy dream we learned about fertility acupuncture. And we found Dr. Lee. He will take you under his wing and pour all effort into making sure the pregnancy happens. He recommended from change in diet, to supplements, what temperature water to drink along with acupuncture. We are very grateful that we chose Dr. Lee as our acupuncture specialist for the year and a half leading up to our 1st positive pregnancy test. My husband (39) and I (34) tried to get pregnant on our own for 4 years before first seeing Dr. Lee. Hubby was diagnosed with low sperm counts that improved with diet, acupuncture, vitamins, and herbs, but still not enough for us to get pregnant naturally. Dr. Lee and his staff are the best! My husband and I were told by the "best" IVF doctor in the OC we were not candidates for pregnancy and should just go to egg/sperm donation and a surrogate. I met with Dr. Lee and brought all the files (over 5 inches worth) and he carefully looked at everything, reflected and told me that we could be pregnant (as long as both of us joined the system (his tennis analogy is awesome)) within 6 months...AND WE WERE!! All natural! We have a beautiful baby girl and Dr. Lee and his staff helped us through the whole pregnancy, after and continue today. WE have recommended Dr. Lee to many of our friends who are fertility challenged. He is professional, honest, available and willing to work with his patients. I came to Dr.Lee after about 18 months of unexplained infertility. Upon my initial call, I was easily put in the schedule and the office staff was very helpful in answering my questions. On my first visit, I was very impressed on the amount of time he spent with me going over my particular case, and how he could help me on my way to getting pregnant. I am a big believer in eastern medicine and knew that adding this to my regiment would be beneficial. Food is such an important aspect of pregnancy and healing the body and believe a lot of his recommendations were helpful. I took what he offered and combined it with my own knowledge. Accompanied by yoga, breathing, meditation, and visualization that I would have my baby one day. I got naturally pregnant about 6 months into my journey with Dr.Lee, but unfortunately had a very early miscarriage. But I was left with hope, not failure. Surprisingly my body bounced right back the next month and I got pregnant again naturally after a two year battle with infertility. Today I hold my 34 week baby boy in my belly and I couldn't be more joyful for this next step in my life. I truly believe coming here helped me along in my journey and would recommend it to anyone. Dr Lee is such a caring, compassionate, and genuine person. I hadn't had the need to see him for some time but went back today for treatment for peroneal tendinitis in one of my feet. The treatment helped and I hope with further treatments I can get past the tendinitis. His staff is friendly, professional, and have the genuine qualities that he does. Reading some of the negative reviews here makes me feel bad for those affected and while treatment doesn't work for everyone, the comments regarding Dr Lee's character or integrity are completely baseless. read more
