My family and I were victims of the Eaton Canyon fires. There's different types of claims for the fires. Some were total losses where people lost their entire home and others had all the terrible pollutants of lead poisoning and other atrocious toxins at their property following this event. This public adjusting office led by George. Did a phenomenal job exceeding my expectation with our recovery. Insurance companies can be very slippery and love to defer defend deny and delay claims. They were no different here and did all of the above. But at the end of the day, we recovered well over 10 times what I expected. Midway through the rainy winter of 2022/2023, we noticed water damage in our ADU entryway. I immediately called our insurance company (State Farm) to file a claim. After a few days, we had an adjuster come out and assess the damage and ultimately approve a claim for $4k. The extent of the visible damage was focused near the door, including hardwood flooring, drywall, casing, and the door itself. That amount seemed quite low but I went with it and called a few contractors to come out and take a look. Every single contractor said they would not work with the insurance company as they would not be willing to give an itemized quote as the State Farm requested. The last contractor I spoke with recommended I contact a public adjuster as he was almost certain there was more damage that was not visible. This was a completely new concept for me and I hesitated and decided to try to work with StateFarm to increase the amount. Needless to say, it was incredibly difficult to reach anyone on the phone at State Farm. After a week or so, I gave up and started looking for a public adjuster.
