Good job on mounting the tv to the wall that's it. He showed up over 45 min late. He left his trash and didn't take it with him, like he should leave the job site cleaner when he got there. Also messed up the paint on my baseboards! He did not clean up after him self (pictures are posted) if you truly want 5 star reviews #1 show up on time #2 clean up after yourself when the job is finished #3 leave the job site in better condition than when you arrived. This guy failed on all the above. Was 45 Min late when he lives done the street and was not coming from a previous job. He must pay for all these high star reviews! Original post: "Absolutely unacceptable. From all the reviews, Vince does great work. I would love to see this. However, I had an install scheduled with him for Friday at 12:30. I connected with him in the morning to confirm he would still be available for the work. He replied yes. At 11:15, he said he might not be able to make it and may be pressed for time. But that he could still probably install that day. I called and texted back. No answer from him. I took work off for this installation so I could be home for this to happen and I have had zero response from him." Vince texted me back after a few hours. We decided to reschedule after I gave him two more available times. He agreed to do it if I took the original post off and he even offered a discounted price. I was pretty excited to get the TV up. 5 minutes before the scheduled time, he texted and told me his eta would be about 45-an hour late and if it was ok. I told him we would wait for him to arrive. He took this personal as and with sarcasm and told me how wonderful of me to wait for him. And told me that he would rather not do the install due to the negative work environment/vibe. This is fine. Wished I could have had the TV mounted but customer service is a must. And this is a review on customer service as I was unable to experience the service he could have provided. I was referred to him by a friend who had warned me about this. He had cancelled twice on her as well. She said he did a great job the third time they scheduled and had a great price, but to not expect him to follow through with his scheduled installs. So I suppose if you are in no hurry and have a very flexible work schedule to be available, he may be your guy. I'm a little bit surprised by all the good reviews Vince gets. But now that I'm looking more carefully, I do see some reviews that reflect the mediocre experience I had: #1) Vince cancelled our first appointment and rescheduled. Fine. But then he didn't show up at all for the rescheduled appointment! He apologized, so I decided to give him another chance, but then he showed up AN HOUR LATE for the third attempt. Then he installed the wrong cables, so he had to set up another appointment, but then didn't show up AGAIN. Seriously? So just to keep score: 1 cancellation, 2 no-shows, and 1 late show. As if I have nothing to do but sit around and wait for him! Totally unacceptable. After the 2nd no-show, obviously, I had to end our relationship and cut my losses. #2) Vince's prices are reasonable but his quality isn't the best. He installed wall plates that were crooked and/or had gaps and chipped areas around them. Also, like some other reviewers said, he didn't clean up very well. He barely put any plastic or drop-cloths down, so there was a mess of dust and debris in my entire living room that I had to sweep, vacuum, and mop up afterwards. #3) As I mentioned above, he installed the wrong cables in my wall. I specifically asked for the highest quality cables because I have a 4K TV and use Dolby Vision quite often, but his cables didn't support Dolby Vision. As a result, he wasn't able to get everything working on the first visit. For someone who does this kind of thing for a living, he should know what cables to use. I gave Vince 2 stars because he at least got me far enough to where I think I can finish the rest, but he should have been more committed to finishing the job properly himself. I will definitely not be using him again and I will certainly not be recommending him. read more

Started off with a bang but went so wrong. I had hired Vince in the past for my mom and he did an excellent job. He was affordable, on time, courteous and went above and beyond. I was certain he would be our go to guy. Hence the two stars instead of one. However, this past week I scheduled a job for my new place in Chino Hills. We had called another company to mount our 55 inch and 70 inch flat screen TVs and set up our receiver and surround sound in our living room. They sold us a bracket/mount for the larger TV that was to be mounted above our fireplace. But, they didn't have the other bracket/mount to enable the smaller TV to be mounted flush with our bedroom wall. They then proceeded to keep flaking on returning. We eventually just gave up on them (unfortunately they aren't on Yelp for my review) and called SoCal TV Installs. Boy, are we glad we did. It turns out that the bracket / mount that we purchased wouldn't have held the weight of our TV. They took that bracket and replaced it with a more expensive crazy extending drop down bracket at no cost. They mounted the TV's, installed our surround sound, and then had us purchase a Harmony Hub through our Amazon prime account instead of setting up all the equipment (receiver, cable boxes, DVD players, apple tv, etc.) in our living room and bedroom. When the Hub arrived a few days later they came back out and ran all of the cabling through our attic and set up all of the equipment in a spare closet. Now we can control the TVs, DVDs, Internet Radio, etc. using our Ipads, phones, or the two universal remotes. Thank god we called SoCal TVs. Otherwise, we'd have a bunch of AV equipment taking up space in our living room and probably a smashed TV from the bracket giving out! read more

My experience with SoCal Tv was disappointing. The guy was unreliable and untrustworthy. I made an appointment with him on a Saturday at 10:30am, and he showed up at noon. He had communicated with me at 9:30am on the day of installation that he was running late, which I told him of fine; things happen. Come 11:45am (when he was supposed to show up), he communicated via text that he was on his way with an approximate time of arrival of 15mins. This should have already raised a red flag, but I thought nothing of it. I just wanted my TV and sound bar mounted. When he arrived, he seemed irritated and a bit stressed, but he was able to move passed that and start on the job. He made suggestions that I agreed with to get the TV in the right location, but was unable to fully complete the job as some material (sound brackets) was required for full installation. He had agreed to come back and finish the job on Tuesday with full payment upfront on initial appointment day. I agreed, as he seemed trustworthy and reliable. Monday came around and I had not heard from him as to scheduled time on Tuesday for completed work. So I reached out to him on confirming our verbal agreement on finishing the job of attaching the sound bar to the TV and concealing the wires with strip. He responded and agreed to come at agreed time. The guy "no showed" and did not courtesy call. I then reached out again, and he then agreed to come the next day. The guy "no showed" again nor courtesy call. I then once again reached on getting the job done (this is all I wanted) and if he was unable to complete the job, to let me know so that he could then refund me on the uncompleted portion of the job. He agreed to come. On the day he was supposed to come, I had heard nothing from him, so I texted him on confirmation. He responded with I will be late like 1hr. I agreed with him on 1 hour of delay. He then wanted to extend it to a time frame range. At this point, I was done with his running around shenanigans and excuses and just wanted my money back for the incomplete portion of the job. He at this point was giving excuses as to why he didn't complete the job, and he not making any profit on this job, as if he was doing me a favor. I understand that things happen, but not showing up on 3 agreed dates (having me wait with anticipation) and not communicating after the fact is unacceptable and just not good business. He is a small business person working for himself with no accountability as he is his own boss. I recommend paying the few extra dollars on well established companies that will be held responsible and complete the work within the day. Highly NOT recommended. read more
