OH. MY. GOD. Is there a way I can give 5 MILLION STARS?…read more Aileen was a freaking god send for our wedding this past Saturday, 11/5/2016 at The Colony House (in Anaheim). We reserved her for her DOC services (no design, unfortunately) and she was worth every penny! She was fully composed during the entire event and took care of everything we had asked for PLUS more! Did I mention, that her prices are SO REASONABLE? She is just SO easy going and it was such a pleasure working with her. Even though we had our wedding down in SoCal, my husband and I currently reside in San Francisco. Aileen worked with us and our schedule to see what she could do to help us out. She ran the rehearsal, which we held on a Thursday, without any problem! I was honestly very impressed with her demeanor with trying to corral our family members/friends during the rehearsal and throughout our wedding. For the wedding, she was able to set up all the small decor and things for the gift/placecard/cake/bar tables. She actually set all the non-florist decor (which was a lot of knick knacks!) She went above and beyond to make our wedding a dream come true. During our last meeting, she even volunteered to come a little earlier & leave later from our event... WITHOUT charge. She just wanted to make sure that everything went smoothly and made this a priority above all else. Also, my husband and I were scrambling last minute to figure out how we were going to take down the floral decorations surrounding our stage/alter & some wooden beams located throughout the venue. The florist was going to charge us for coming back so we decided to ask if Aileen could do it. And she was so accommodating! She saved us a lot of money from asking the florist to come back and honestly she was just so on top of everything throughout the wedding. She really was a calming element during our final days before the wedding. During our cocktail hour, the ceremony area was going to be flipped into the reception. I had already told my bridal party to help Aileen with the flip (i.e. small vases were placed on the floor, which would eventually need to be placed on the dinner tables). And when the time came, Aileen told my bridal party to just relax and enjoy themselves because she was going to take care of everything. During the event, my MIL told Aileen that several of the guests sitting at a certain table had to be moved because there was some massive family drama. Go figure, right? We had assigned seating at each table & I don't know how Aileen pulled it off, but I believe that family drama did not come to light during our wedding. On top of everything we had asked her to do, she worked her magic and addressed issues that were brought to her attention during the event! So by the end of the wedding, Aileen had packaged everything up for my in-laws and they said it was so easy! She had packaged everything so efficiently and really made sure that our family members didn't have to do any additional work. Overall, Aileen made our wedding go by without a hitch and we could not have imagined anyone else being part of our big day. If we were to change ANYTHING it honestly would have been to invest further for her design services. It honestly would have saved me so much headache and I know for a fact she would have gone above and beyond. So if you are looking for design/DOC services, LOOK NO FURTHER! Aileen is your girl! Their design was able to exceed all my criteria: Fun Timeless Masculine Claudia did the stunning florals, and she works so well with Lulu on the creative direction behind it all. Let me say first that I was such a scrappy DIY bride, so I was really looking for a day-of coordinator I could trust. I did many calls with other coordinators and I was looking out for folx who really pressure you to have a cookie cutter wedding and play into the wedding industry. Lisa was not like that at all, she felt like one of my friends and was totally on board with working with the blank canvas of my venue. She was so easy to work with and made me feel really confident the day-of. She was hands down the best money spent from all my vendors at my wedding. Examples of Lisa's magic: - She was a serious partner in crime! I come from a background of event planning myself, so I recognized that I was a bit of a hyper detailed and logistically obsessed bride. I literally had made my production schedule before I had even met with her! This type of thing would normally irritate the hell out of an event coordinator, but honestly Lisa just felt like someone who was my partner. She saw what I had created and helped me build off of what I got started and she just made me feel like I wasn't in it alone anymore. - She would go above and beyond! We had a mix-up with our cocktail hour where our caterer came in and left some of the food on the side where it wasn't easily found. Lisa and her assistant jumped in immediately once she saw the need. She straight up started serving our hor d'orves to all of our guests so that the food we spent good money on wouldn't be hidden in the corner. - She handled extra coordination with ease! We had a mariachi parade and a shuttle coming in and out of our venue. She was able to coordinate all of this seamlessly with her assistant. I was worried about the coordination of our shuttle in particular- and without a single worry my guests were coming in and speaking so highly of the amazing coordination of the entire day. These are just a few examples of how amazing Lisa is. So do yourself a favor and give her a call for your special day.
