The atmosphere is rugged, familiar, heavy with regulars who know each other. That can be comforting, but it also means new people feel a little on the outside looking in. Their beers are solid, the vibe is strong (sports, darts, classic pub banter), and it has the bones of a great local hangout. But there's a resistance to change or warmth toward newcomers, which makes it feel like a place "for the in crowd." If they worked on opening the door just a bit more for first‑timers (friendlier service, small gestures of welcome), Paddy's could be even better. As is, it's dependable and characterful -- just not always inclusive.

You can't go wrong with a potato vehicle to fresh toppings. All and all great fun spot for sports and gatherings. Also this is a melting pot. Various ages, groups, backgrounds, saw a few families. I am also post fries (I will try one or two of yours, but I don't need an order of fries for myself.), so can't comment on the fries. They also make a mean Caesar salad. The Caesar & buffalo wings are pretty much my metric for all Irish pubs. McMahon's would def be in the upper 50th percentile. There are a bunch of negative reviews for this spot on here for when they are very busy, on Barclays Center game nights and / or weekends. I feel like, if you read between the lines, it's people coming in groups when it's busy acting entitled. The staff at lunch has been nothing but courteous, w/ excellent service. Also, very clean inside, & food was good quality / fresh ingredients. There are almost no Irish pubs in this area open for lunch anymore at all - thank goodness this is a good one!
