This summer we needed a place to beat the heat while doing sports. Soccer Zone was easy to sign up for. The kids get one hour of practice during the week and one hour of games on the weekend. Practice is grouped together by age, so for us, there were a ton of kids. It is a bit different not to practice with your team but it works. There is a registration fee (due every season) and a member fee (due once a year). The child will get a plain jersey. The fields are very small. The atmosphere for the kids is relaxed and fun so if you are looking for something competitive this may not be the place. Not many indoor soccer fields to use in this area so glad there is something. Although the price is higher for one soccer season, they offer a variety of things that the other soccer programs do not and vice versa. My son is happy to play during summer and I am happy not to roast in the sun. There is a bar upstairs with light snacks. It is only accessible via stairs no elevator available. There are a few of downsides... Frist downside is the lack of seating. On days of practice with so many parents and kids the seats go fast and if you don't snag one early will be standing for the duration of practice. The same could be said for game days. If you have bad knees, have little ones, or are elderly would suggest bringing a folding chair just in case. Second, the front desk gets busy often and the wait is long. With the number of people coming and going for practices and games throughout the day, it would be nice to increase staff to accommodate the influx of visitors. Third, during practice/games parking lot gets full quickly. If you are inviting family to view the games would suggest carpooling. Fourth, the other sports programs we had signed up for had 2 days of practice than games on the weekend. With the number of kids during practice, it would be nice to have a second practice day. If you are looking for one-to-one coaching, it won't happen with the number of kids. It's more a collective group practice and spot corrections are done here and there so if your kids need more direction with getting moves/drills, they may struggle. Fifth, the fields are small. We had signed up here before the pandemic and compared to now the size of the field has changed. The fields used to be twice the size it is now. They reduced the size of both the indoor and outdoor fields. I get that it's a business for profit and probably cutting the fields was a way to get more customers signed up. read more

Great facilities. A fun environment and wonderful viewing. This place even has a small bar upstairs where you can purchase a bucket of beer or old school movie theatre nachos. They have soccer clinics too. Check it out! read more

5 start review for everyone BUT the head manager of the facility. HEAD manager plays favorites, may be a little racist based on conversations I've had with him or witnessed with him talking to people of color. He does not know how to properly train his staff or handle situations. No manager should say well if statement is true then i will have to fire that employee. Who says that to players, and that is not the way to go about the situation. Privately talk to the employee and correct the situation and train more no need to go straight to termination. Some things he says to players can be condescending, and inappropriate for a manger of his status. He is telling players where they cant play even though they are paying money to play. Prices are getting a bit extreme and I've noticed leagues are smaller then way before read more

Great venue. 10 dollar open play can't be beat. Hours for open play and facility hours are much different than posted on social media. Call them before you go out. They have balls for purchase or other balls to borrow for general use. No public WiFi available, unfortunate. read more
If your reading this for info on the actual venue of soccer zone, sorry this is about the Upper Deck Sports Bar. Who would've thought I'd find one of my favorite michaladas here while watching the boys play indoor soccer. They are so good and made separately so you can add your beer at your leisure. I look forward to having one at each match. My mouth actually waters as I watch it be prepared. If for any reason you've been invited or asked to go to soccer zone, say yes and use it as an excuse to try their Michaladas! read more

The facility is pretty nice and clean but they need better professional refs. They got a ref out there that doesn't even know what he is calling. Two from the same team cornered the opponent player and the ref never even called it. We tried letting him know that it was two against one and with his hand gesture he just said yea and you just keep talking. They need better training and they also need to be professional that's why we pay to play because it isn't cheap they charge more than zweat it and utsa and sporty so at least they can do is train their refs read more

This is the second season that my son has registered for. The faculty is great and most of the staff is very polite and show they care. There is one lady, Connie Johnson, who I believe is one of the Managers for the facility. She is very rude and condescending. Every single time we have an interaction with her, it never is welcoming or helpful. She definitely needs to work on her customer service skills as well as her communication skills with her staff. Thanks to the rest of the staff who have always been professional with my son, wife and I. read more

Shady run business establishment. Signed my son up for soccer at the Soccerzone west and then they closed it and turned it onto a trampoline park. Deemed fit to give me $37 back of the $170 I paid for a whole 2 practices my son attended. No games played, no jersey handed out. Excuse I was given was that it shows 6 weeks of instruction and the coaches have to be paid. Live Oak location offered me a free season, which is nice, but not feasible since I live an hour away. Was told that was all the owner was offering. Pretty sad read more

I don't know what the lady working in the front/ receptionist problem was. Connie I think was her name. I called to get some basic information regarding covid protocols. She was extremely rude and spoke to me with an attitude. I'm surprised Soccer Zone is even open. This lady said they take a break to sanitize between games and i think she just told me what I wanted to hear. I asked my questions politely and did not appreciate the tone with the staff. Maybe during their so called "sanitization break" they should learn a thing or too about manners and customer service. read more

There are a couple of staff members that were extremely rude and clearly racist. I went to watch my friends boyfriend play soccer with his friends and unfortunately they were racially profiled and forced off of the property. Nobody was loud or disturbing anyone and was allowed on the property by the staff. Nobody had a problem except for this one staff member, the lady with brown hair and a some weight on her, and after another lady who decided to come out and stand with her at the very end. read more

Great place for indoor soccer 3 fields 1 large indoor 1 large outdoor and 1 small indoor plus a beach volleyball court, well managed and great leagues its just the soccer teams, it's usually for beginners unless you invite some friends that actually know how to play, but overall a great place to drop by, except on weekends cause it's packed because of games read more

No written cancellation policy on summer camps. Attempted to reach out multiple times with no real response to ask for a refund well in advance of camp. Beware of paying in advance with these guys. Processing a charge back fee with credit card to get money back. read more

I love this place. It's safe and comfortable to watch the kids play. The adults that play here seem to be having a great time. It's so nice to see all the available fields to play. Nice laid back environmental but the coaches are all business. Very professional and on top of teaching the fundamental skills with immediate application. I see us continuing to use this location as long as they are here and conducting business the way they are at this time. Coach D is great! read more

I love this place! The staff is wonderful and encouraging! Soccer Zone offers camps for children. The place seems clean! I don`t care for the scent of the turf! I wish the fields inside and out were larger. There is not enough room for all their members. In the past, we have paid for free play and my children were not able to play. Our mistake! We should have called before going to see if the place was busy. I encourage parents to register their little ones for Soccer Zone`s camp. I hear they may have a Spring Break camp! Prices are quite reasonable! I never give 5 stars for any place because no place is perfect! This place just needs to be bigger! other than that, my children have fun! read more

Let me just say I did not like our overall experience, the first class was great, one on one with the teacher since the class didn't get booked and the younger girl was a sweetheart with our son. However we were told he would have a better time with other students and get more of an understanding seeing the other kids do it too, we also wanted him to make some friends since he doesn't get to be around a lot of kids often due to our location, we switched class to the one with the two female teachers, the young one once again is a sweetie but the older lady is rude and has set my kid out for a time out when he was not sharing two different times (exactly what I expected to happen because he wasn't being considerate) but this one kid that's always there and is a jerk (obnoxiously rude to the other kids, CONSTANTLY hogs the ball, gets rough with the kids etc) almost never sets out for way worse, the last straw was when this little snot pushed my son down and the older woman didn't do squat, I pulled my kid immediately from the class and we will not be back read more

Very clean and love that there is a play that teaches organized fundamentals nearby. I've tried a different league that plays but doesn't work on the fundamentals, a very welcome change. My daughter really loves the sport and I want to prepare her for when she can play for school. read more

one of the best places in San Antonio to play soccer. It's $5 dollars to get in, and there is always pick up soccer going on which is mostly what I do. Leagues are also reasonably priced and games are once a week. The only thing I don't like is there is always bad teams in the good leagues,so I wish they would work on that. Facilities are clean and staff is very friendly. You can play indoor or outdoor or 4v4 on the small field. Overall, I would recommend this place to my friends. I will continue playing soccer here as long as I live here. read more

Great place to play soccer if you're looking for a quality surface and some fun competition. Awesome staff who is always willing to help out and facilitate the flow of games so that everyone gets their turn, which makes for a great experience. If you're tired of rolling your ankle every other step or the universe ruining your play with awkward bounces on a bumpy field, look no further my friends. Soccer Zone is what you've been looking for your whole life. read more

Top class facility! Great staff, they're friendly and helpful. We registered for an adult league and Ivan was great in accommodating our requests, communicating all details and kept us up to date with any changes. The playing surface is great compared to other indoor facilities and options for pickup outdoor or in 'the cage' at any time make it a great place to play. The upstairs is great to watch a game or hang out after and get a drink. read more

We've played indoor at other places, and they don't compare. The field is great. The management is great. Overall, our first season with soccer zone was a success. The way management cares about the players, is something that will keep our team playing there. If I had one negative, it would be that field play should be 7v7 instead of 6v6. Either way, keep up the good work. read more

I grew up playing indoor soccer, and have played at numerous arenas around the country. SoccerZone has to be one of the cleanest and best facilities I've been in. The fields are in great shape. I love the outdoor field. I also like that they always have pick up games going on an open field. Hopefully it stays this way as they grow and get busier. read more
