I expected this library to be old because it's in downtown Butler but it's newer I feel like and more modern. They have a separate room that is just music. I was there because we had a training for my job in a conference room in the basement. The room was clean and comfortable and the restrooms in the basement were also clean. I took my daughter there one day, and a few hours later went back and took her out... Here's why; while I was filling out paper work I witnessed an older woman yell at the kids repeatedly and force them to sit with their heads down. They were not doing anything wrong! I think this was just easier than actually doing anything with them. The entire time I was filling out the paperwork they were yelled at!!! So, I left my daughter there even though I had a really bad feeling about it. My daughter is very quite, and shy. School teachers always say she is very kind hearted, and well behaved. I returned a couple hours later because I couldn't stand it anymore. My daughter pleaded with me not to leave her there. So I took her with me. She told me the entire time I was gone they were yelled at by this woman for no reason. When I called to complain I was told they are quite aware of the "strictness" (abuse) this woman subjects the children to and are proud of it!! I was also threatened that if I tell anyone anything bad about this place they will sue me! So, be warned...
