Overall, this one's super nice. I think it's the main location because it's where you have to pick up packages for the surrounding neighborhoods. I've been here before, but realized the last time I was here that it's not entered into yelp, so I added it. I like this one for a few different reasons. For starters, its huge, clean and well stocked. Plenty of post office boxes for rent of varying sizes along with plenty of parking. The lot is clean and easy to get in and out of. They also have a separate drive for the mail drop boxes and a walk up blue box near the entrance which I use from time to time when I'm here. The place isn't any faster then the others, but considering that this is a severely depressed area, it stands out as a gem. When I'm here, which is sporadically, I never have to wait that long. I will probably be here again in the future if I need to get packages for the office, or just drop mail off for the boss man.

They always have ample amount of staff that can quickly help to get you out as quick as possible and do so with a smile. Being open on the weekends and until 7 o'clock helps a lot when I am at work from early morning until into the evening hours. I also got my passport photo done here for $15 and I can't begin to say how much care Sergio put into the photos. He was patient, took multiple photos till I was approving and even made sure to cut them properly. I will always be back to this location when I am shipping anything.

I have no clue where it is because FedEx system is still so obsolete that it updates late. And before you know it, your package is being sent back to the sender. How f*cked is that. It circles around your house but you can't get it. And they tell you it's in the system and cannot be altered for you to get. This is the third time they are coming back because they come back every time you're at work like a normal person. I signed the door tag saying I need it left there because I still have to continue working a normal job unlike most of the country current time. They came back the next day and just put another door tag over that door tag. I am beside myself with how awful FedEx actually is and that they have not yet fixed any issues that I have been dealing with for decades now. If I could select zero or negative stars I would.

I like this post office because it is located in Southfield, so it has that "Southfield effect."…read moreYou know, it's 10 minutes from my home, 20 minutes from Detroit, 15 minutes from Royal Oak, 12 minutes from Ferndale, and 20 minutes from West Bloomfield. So it is close to anywhere I want to be. But what makes this post office so great in addition to proximity is the extended hours. It is open until 7:00 PM Monday through Friday, so I can get to the post office after work but before it closes. This post office is also open on Saturdays, until 3:00 PM I think. And even when this post office is closed it has a walk-in "Self-Service" area available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. I would have to say this is an all-around great post office. Way to go, United States Post Office Southfield!
