Incredibly fast and professional handling of my SSDI claim. Good followup to keep me informed.

They assume that every parent who is behind on child support is some deadbeat he doesn't care about their kids and doesn't respect the court order. They don't take in the consideration that the reason the person may be behind is out of their control possibly they were injured and unable to work maybe they were laid off with unfortunate circumstances or maybe their ex-spouse is just a liar who is paid and then pretends like they didn't receive any money. They have plenty of repercusiones to throw at the noncustodial parent; suspension of licenses even threats of jail however if you are the custodial parent you are golden you never lie, what you say is perfect and true and when you do lie there's no repercussions for your actions. Today I was paying my fiancés child support through this automated machine where you have to feed the dollars into it- a completely ridiculous way to collect money when you could have a real person who is sitting there doing nothing collect the money and it would go a lot quicker. I arrived at 445pm plenty of time to pay before they close so I thought. While this machine was taking 20 minutes to suck in $427 I had a 400 pound cow telling me that how I was going to have to stop doing my payment so she could go home because the office was now closed. I told her she could wait because it is not my fault that they choose to have an archaic machine collect support rather than the person who is sitting behind a desk doing nothing. I was absolutely going to finish what I was doing because the length of time it takes for this machine to suck in the money is not my problem it's theirs. I told her that I found her rude and unprofessional and that it is no wonder that people do not like to deal with that office. She then told me that maybe I should pay my child support and then I would have my license and it would not be suspended mind you she made the statement without even knowing the circumstances of the case which are that it is under review because the other parent has lied about support that was given to her and there are actually canceled checks to prove that she was paid. How does woman know anything about the case? Had she known anything about the case maybe she would've kept her mouth shut but instead she was in a hurry to get home to dinner which she did not need to eat and chose to break confidentiality with her comments and I run her mouth about something she knew nothing about. She couldn't wait to tell me she was "Theresa a Supervisor year", well Theresa i'm a lawyer in a pair of sweatpants looking like crap and now I'm yelping you and filing a formal complaint against you enjoy the demotion. To say these people are unprofessional is an understatement. If you can avoid ever going there do it and try never to have them involved in your life ever. But above all-MAIL YOUR PAYMENT- rather than go into that office.

Plenty of drugs and fornicating possibilities... if you're into that kind of thing. Options include a ranch in Watsonville and home detention. Liberal county usually doesn't waste as much $$$ as others. Officers are trained better than other northern counties. The TVs have cable but forced to watch what everyone else is watching and no remote. The same identical 1 hour and 15 minute informational video is played everyday. Not as many blacks as typical. The sandals should be replaced. While I like cereal everyday, the menu is very limited. Dirtiest and most obnoxious place I've visited. Shout out to solari, king and esquibal. Especially for inmates that need longer term mental health care and interventions to curb criminal behaviors. Just putting them back out on the street makes the situation remain horrific and on going. I'm told that the facility is ICE cold and that there is not enough food for inmates who do not have access to accounts. This jail is archaic in its effectiveness and accountability. If the Judicial system were to step up and rule appropriately the penal system could also make an impact. This is NOT happening.

My wallet then proceeded to bounce around the downtown area, so I knew someone was on the move with it. I then filed a report, and an officer met up with me to get some more info. I shared the AirTag with the officer, and he ended up finding it with some homeless people off of Coral St. Thank you Officer Sam for getting my wallet back so quickly!

I have watched officers here respond with indifference to real fear, real danger, and real need -- when they respond at all, which depends truly on the officer, their current mood, hunger level, quality of sleep from last night, and general desire, which is usually non-existent. This isn't the occasional bad day; it's a pattern of laziness, dishonesty, and open contempt for the people they're supposed to serve. They don't prevent chaos, they encourage, cause and preside over it. If you took an oath to protect and serve, and you can't be bothered to do either, you have no business wearing that badge! This job requires character you clearly don't have. Do the entire city of Santa Cruz a favor and find work that doesn't put you in a position of trust over other human beings -- because right now, you clearly suck at it. I believe there are still a few officers here who joined for the right reasons. The rest need to take a hard look at whether they belong in this uniform at all. Please...for the love of God, find work that doesn't involve working with people. I have chosen not to give specifics due to fear of retaliation which is a real thing with this department.
