The staff are extremely professional and helpful, and there are a lot of great programs for young learners who want to explore the world of books. In terms of facilities, there's not much to say. There are only four computers, and the selection of books is not that broad. That said, they do offer a lot of services for the community, although I would recommend against utilizing the preparation services they offer during tax season, even if you're a cheapo. Overall, it's a worthy local library, even if nothing stands out in particular. I've spent many hours of enjoyment and research there.

Beautiful bridge with postcard picturesque views. I've run under this bridge many times during half…read moremarathons from the memorial pier in Bay Ridge. I've also run across it during the NYC Marathon a bunch of times which is always a thrill. Always fun to view as you get closer to it and also realize how gigantic it really is. An engineering marvel. Interesting fact - the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge central span was the longest of any suspension bridge in the world until the Humber Bridge was completed in 1981. The bridge has the 18th-longest main span in the world, as well as the longest in the Americas. Also, the bridge collects tolls in both directions which makes me happy to not own a car and have to commute on it every day Staten Island to Brooklyn and back.

We have an abundance of parks; Shore Road, Leif Erickson, John Paul Jones and Owl's Head to name a few. Great for families to enjoy a day at the park. Our community outreach is top notch; Salvation Army, Bay Ridge Community Center. Our schools also are impactful, Fort Hamilton High, Xaverian, William McKinley Our restaurants offer diversity from Italian ( Campania, Brooklyn Roots) to Indian ( Mint Bay) to Mexican ( Coszcal de Allende) to Chinese ( Rose Bowl); these are a few of my favorites. If you love to golf Dyker Heights is a great place to tee off as well as utilize as a venue for special events. And our City Councilman, Justin Brennan and Senator Andrew Gounardes always have Bay Ridgians' best interests at heart. Today as a community we gathered to remember our veterans who served via the 158th Memorial Day parade. I'm sharing some photos from today to show how strong our community is in Fort Hamilton. The service is alright, nothing worth noting. Lines can get long. I never really see more than 2 cashiers going -- it moves fast, though. I've also used the facility's gym. It's pretty nice... I was surprised. Clean, neat, not noisy and not busy. Just how I like it. You need a military ID to get in. If you bring a civilian as a guest, make sure they have their ID on them to use the gym. I like this place because it's pretty clean and updated compared to other places I've been to.

There was a time when they would hassle me just because they wanted. I frequently stop to talk and let the police officers know I appreciate them. They put their life on the line daily. I'm not going on and on but will mention that my favorite police officers are the ones with Four Legs. I love the Dogs and Horses. And Everyone knows I've adopted my Yelp Police Son Jason! He's not Four legged but he's still cute! Easy Five Stars!
