    Super dope hidden spot!

So initially I wasn't going to write any reviews of this place. Although this store has a very nice layout and staff, this was your typical clothing store with really nice trendy/casual clothing. What enticed me to give this place a great rating was the space/cafe located in the back. Upon walking around the store, I noticed some really good music playing and a narrow hallway leading to an open space in the back- immediately I was amazed! This open space is literally a hidden gem! It is a small cafe with great vibes and music- somewhere to come and relax, do work and/or be social. It's almost like a "Starbucks" type of vibe but on a cooler type scale. There is even a big sign in the back labeled "Be Social" and "WiFi" signs labeled all around. My best advice about this store? Go to the back. I could really see myself frequenting here a lot once I move to this area and also potentially buying something here. Disclaimer- there isn't really a lot of options for women's clothing here.

This store has it all when it comes to looking for shoes and clothing. Not the biggest store but they make sure to provide you plenty of options. They have higher end brands as well as mid tier. The staff is helpful and has always been willing to help whenever needed

I was visiting NC for work and made it a point to stop into the local Social Status to see what the hype was about. After seeing the store on sneaker shopping on Complex the place has a cool vibe from the moment you walk in. Can't say enough about the staff. Presently greeted and I appreciated they treated all customers with that extra sense they wanna help but not so pushy you feel like your space is invaded lol!! (You know what I mean) The staff saw some items I was interested in and went above and beyond to find other similar styles that may have not been on display for me to see. My overall experience was outstanding and I visited 3 times during my 2 weeks stay. Don't have to be a hypebeast to get great help and respected from the staff. I thought it would have a stuffy vibe because some heat is straight money!!! But if you wanna drip then that's the price you pay. Better then paying resale!! Would highly recommend and I picked up a couple drippy BBC shirts which cannot he found at home in CT. Keep up the great customer service!!

Strongly recommend not buying online through them. Looking at 40% on return fees if the shoe doesn't fit. First and last time customer here... I wish I read some reviews before buying

Absolute worst customer service from a company I have ever dealt with in my life. They are con artists. Both times I have shopped there, I've gotten damaged products. The customer service reps don't care when you finally get a response. It took me 5 days to even get a response, which was to just tell me they don't care and I'm out of luck. My last order multiple items got canceled because they oversold, still haven't been refunded. What shirts they did send me arrived wadded up loose in a box that was open & severely damaged. The shirt had stains all over it. I don't know how this place stays in business with the way they treat customers. I'd advise anyone considering buying from here to look for a more reputable business to purchase from. This place will rip you off and treat you like dirt while doing it

I had the opportunity to attend a Tech Meet-Up at BeSocial which is a arm of social status located at the back of the store.

LERVE Trope!!! I'm getting back into reading and stopped in here on my way to Plot Twist. It's like…read moreyou have to. And I'm here for it lol. The store is soooo cute and well maintained and fun! There were so many different romance categories. I chatted with Tobi, she was so kind and helpful at explaining how the store setup worked. She was super knowledgeable about books too. I told here I was looking for 2nd chance romance books and she had sooooo many suggestions. I bought 2 books and took a bunch of pics lol. I love this lil shop!!!

I was looking for a local independent bookstore to check out while I was in Charlotte, and after…read morereading so many positive reviews, I decided to stop by Trope Bookshop. I really wanted to love it, but unfortunately it wasn't quite the welcoming experience I was hoping for. The bookstore itself is adorable. It's on the smaller, cozy side, but it's thoughtfully laid out and surprisingly well-stocked. They have comfortable spots where you can sit and read or take your time deciding which books to bring home, which I appreciated. Browsing was easy, and I liked that they carried several books by one of my favorite authors. Their bookmark selection was also adorable, I couldn't leave without buying one. My experience with the staff, however, was a bit disappointing. When I walked in, there were only a couple of people in the store, but I wasn't greeted or acknowledged. The cashier seemed occupied on her phone, and I felt more like I was interrupting than walking into a local bookstore. I walked up to ask if they carried a specific book genre I was looking for, and the response was simply a blunt, "No." Since they didn't have it, I asked if she had any recommendations based on what I normally enjoy reading, and other genres I wanted to explore. After I explained my preferences, she suggested a few different genres and eventually walked around the store gathering several books for me to look through. Ironically, just as she was helping me, the store suddenly became much busier. I appreciated the effort she made putting together a stack of recommendations, and after narrowing them down, I actually ended up purchasing one of the books she suggested. A few of the recommendations were part of ongoing series, which can be a little hit-or-miss for me since I prefer knowing I'll enjoy the first book before committing to the rest. Overall, the bookstore has a great selection, a cozy atmosphere, and plenty to browse despite its size. I genuinely enjoyed exploring the shelves and could easily spend time here. I really wanted this to be a 4-star review because the store itself has so much charm. Unfortunately, the initial interaction with the staff left me feeling like I was bothering her rather than being welcomed into a local bookstore. Customer service can really shape a first impression, especially for first-time visitors. That said, I still left with a new book and a cute bookmark, so I don't regret stopping in. I just hope future visits feel a little warmer because the bookstore itself definitely has the potential to be a favorite.

There was also tarot card reading and henna application. I think there was something else, as well, that I can't remember. My friend got her hand henna'd. Cute experience, just wish they had more!
