The grounds are relatively clean and well-maintained, with stunning fountains, sculptures, and plenty of space to stroll before a show. (While it's hard to control outdoor debris at times, the staff does a great job keeping things tidy.) The staff is always professional, welcoming, and helpful, whether you're picking up tickets, visiting the museum, or attending a performance. Parking is free and convenient, and the location is within walking distance of several great restaurants if you want to make a full evening of it. The Center also hosts some free community events, dance lessons, art festivals, and cultural celebrations throughout the year, making it a true gathering place for all ages. I highly recommend checking their calendar regularly, you're likely to find something that speaks to you! The Center has two excellent performance spaces: the 400 or so-seat Center Theater and the 1,500 or so-seat Concert Hall, both known for their outstanding acoustics. I've enjoyed live country concerts like Dwight Yoakam and Lee Brice here. I also recently attended the Shen Yun production and a performance by the ATLYS Quartet. Overall, the venues are intimate and offer a wonderful way to experience live entertainment. I highly recommend it and only wish they had more upcoming concerts.

These are the most comfortable cushion seats that can recline a bit and there are drink holders for the ice cold drinks from the concessions. This theater is small and intimate, but the show is big! Beautiful voices, beautiful music played live by a band, great lighting, and you feel every emotion these phenomenal actors portray. Yep, $25 and the towels are worn and frayed. Please, is this a Motel 6? And forget about semi weekly cleaning. That's a fee of $25! And there's no longer a blender in the room, minimal kitchenware, outlets that don't work, blood on a pillow at check in, and broken bathroom drawer. I am so glad to see that they have their own theater now so they can do more for our community. In the beginning when my girls wanted to participate in something such as this and on this level, as a father I was very worried because you hear horror stories about crazy people or creepers in this feild but over years the family that runs this program has always been professionals who want to teach and share their talents with the next generation. Performances include shows from the local schools in PUSD, rental clients such as SoCal Ballet, Poway Symphony Orchestra, & Tamasha SD, just to name a few. Avo Playhouse is a repurposed movie theatre in Vista...a very cool revitalized area with quite a few restaurants and at least 3 breweries within just a couple blocks. We saw the Beatles tribute band "Ticket to Ride". Our tickets were reasonably priced and the venue is small enough (seating for under 400) that there really aren't any bad seats. As a bonus, I was really happy that the bathrooms were large and clean. Only real disappointment was that there were no refreshments. It would be nice to have something simple, maybe just water, coffee, and tea? Definitely worth going back! BTW there's lots of free parking nearby.
