My son is autistic and it was always torture bringing him to the dentist. Since we brought him to see Dr Turk, he actually asks when he will be going back. We affectionately call Dr. Turk the "autism whisperer". The whole staff here is great, always so happy to help out an make each visit go smoothly. I love the open floor plan that allows all my children to have their teeth cleaned at once and I can sit in between them. Saves so much time and headaches. Our next adventure here will be braces with Dr. Lambert. My son is so excited! I will keep you all posted of our progress but I have a feeling it will be a success.

In my experience, he showed very little patience with children and seemed easily frustrated. I was honestly surprised by how he interacted with both kids and parents. He was pushy about treatments and appeared more focused on charging fees upfront than on fully explaining the procedures. At times, we were charged before the work was completed, and then told we would receive "credit" for the next visit. When we asked questions or expressed concerns, he did not directly address them. Instead, he rushed through explanations and dismissed our input. As parents, we felt our opinions were not valued. We were also pressured to use laughing gas for our child when we felt it wasn't necessary. When we asked about alternative approaches, he became upset and raised his voice, insisting he would not proceed without it. Overall, the experience felt rushed, stressful, and uncomfortable. A pediatric doctor should be patient, understanding, and willing to communicate clearly with parents. Unfortunately, that was not our experience

MerIssa Blais has caused me great harm. she provided me with Invisalign braces to make room for my…read morelower front teeth to get veneers, which was successful. Dr Blais then recommended that she could open my upper palette, so I could have a broader smile. this sounded good so she proceeded with my upper and lower Invisalign. I was told this would take one and a half to two years. it took 6 months and $11,000. after the 6 months I was able to get fitted for 6 lower veneers. when all of the work was done my back teeth did not meet, in other words when I closed my teeth there was no contact with my back upper and lower back teeth. this is not good as my front teeth were doing all the work. one year later one of my front teeth broke causing me to have to get a root canal, a post and cap. i have been told that I need 4 caps, 2 on each lower side to rectify the problem and so my back teeth will meet and I will not brake anymore front teeth. do not use Melissa Blais!! I was referred to this dentist. My first impression was they were money hungry b/c I came in to get an opinion and potentially find a permanent dentist. He takes X-rays that I had to pay for fully out of pocket (I have insurance) at the end of that appt he says the next appt will be for X-rays of my full mouth and a cleaning. why couldn't you do the full X-rays that day? Against my better judgment I proceeded with getting fillings at this location. Towards the end of the appointment I started getting a headache (my mouth has been open for longer than an hour with barely any breaks most likely 0). The whole time I had a suction piece in my mouth that aIso keeps my mouth open restricting me from closing it. I raise my hand to notify Dr. Joshua Davis. He told he he was going to be done in five minutes and did not let me say anything. My temple was throbbing on the same side I was getting fillings, I decided to take out the suction instead of being ignored again. Dr Joshua Davis says "Ughhh I'm going to have to start over" Would you rather me pass out in your chair and sue?? I told him I had a headache and I just needed like 10 seconds. He says he can't just leave holes in my teeth and asks if I meant that I'm leaving. I told him AGAIN that I just needed 10 seconds, I have a headache. I never said I was leaving or got up slightly. I continued having a light headache on and off for the rest of the week. At the end of my appt there was a lot of extra product around my teeth, I felt a little hole in the middle. I asked if it would fall off eventually, he said yes. Later on I still feel a small hole and decide to make an appointment. I go in and Dr. Davis says it was extra product and made it seem like he was going to fix it. He proceeds to drill deeper making a bigger dip into my tooth. He asked if it felt better, I told him I still feel a dip. He said he would add something idk. After he said "All done". It didn't feel like he did anything. Now had a dip in my tooth, no longer a small hole. I was still numb and I'm not a dentist so I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. I should not have. Deanna asked if everything was better or something and I said "I still feel a dip in my tooth". No response. The numbing is wearing off, the more I feel my tooth the more I don't understand why there's now a deep curvature in the middle of my tooth. I call the office I speak with Deanna and explain the situation, she writes it down. I ask what's the best time to call and speak with Dr. Davis and mention I can only call on my work breaks. After a few times of me calling at the "right" time and not being able to speak with him, I made an appt. I go in and he says "Your tooth is concave and I'm going to make it convex" I remember bc you said it twice or more. I understand what you were saying, I DO NOT understand why you left it concave in the first place. He told me he had to drill deeper into my tooth so the product can adhere. Third times the charm huh? You WOULD NOT have to keep drilling deeper into my tooth if you did it correctly the first time. The lesson is trust your intuition, always speak up and people will always try to play in your face.

He explains things in detail to you and answers every question you have in a kind manner. Shelley is AWESOME! She is upbeat and pleasant as well. She is very personable. They are both patient and easy going. Shelley provides world class customer service as does Dr. Davis, they compliment each other well and are a good representation of what all provider offices and staff should look to strive for. Sadly many provider offices have subpar bedside manner and staff with attitude. I'm just glad Metro Dental sets and achieves high standards. Other providers should take note!
