The good: This is a super cute store for kids and baby clothes. The stuff is really hip and trendy and they have a sale section in the back. When I say trendy I mean things like rocker outfits, surfer-inspired clothes, bohemian girls' accessories, and horoscope books. I found cute summer hats and aesthetically pleasing shirts. This is a great spot to buy a gift for a friend's kid. They also sell merchandise with local city names. You can find their stuff online too. The bad: I think it's street parking only. Their stuff is expensive (around $45 for a onesie). The interesting: They ship things for free if you purchase $25 or more. read more

Very cute Baby store with uncomfortable customer service! My friend drove up from Temecula to visit the beach. We decided to stop and walk into this store before we headed home. She just had her first baby, being a beautiful baby girl, with her amazing husband so she is always excited to buy her adorable baby clothes. This store had very cute baby clothes, accessories and books. I told my friend across the store "awww you make me want to have a baby" due to seeing her excitement to all the adorable things in the store. To my disappointment the women working the cashier interrupted stating "no you don't! They suck the life out of you. Just marry for money men are useless." This made my friend and I feel extremely uncomfortable. I was just able to let out an uncomfortable laugh and my friend told her "not all men are bad". I don't understand how someone can work at a store for babies & say such a negative comment especially with a mother in their presence. Very disgusting & disturbing comment. read more

This place is great. I can't tell you how many times it's been my go to when I'm looking for something really unique and cool as a gift for a little one. A lot of the stuff in there is geared towards adults, like rock 'n' roll from 70s and 80s and hip-hop shirts from the 90s, but sized for kids. Let me first start by saying this store carries super cute clothes and items. Every time I have walked by or gone inside I have loved the selection and quality of the items. With that said, I do not feel comfortable shopping here depending on the woman who is working at the time. I was walking with my friend the other day and she wanted to go in- when I saw who was working I refused and here is why. Last November I went in with my friend and we were so excited to see everything. We were going to lunch and planned to buy the items we liked on the walk back up to her house so we wouldn't have to carry anything. The whole time the woman working followed us as if we were criminals. When we said thank you and said we would be back, we turned to leave. The woman working came up to us and offered us candy canes. When we politely refused she insisted and put BOTH of her hands in one of my friends cardigan pockets, and my friend felt her feeling around in her pockets looking if she stole anything. We left and discussed how awkward and uncomfortable it made us feel. My friend said she felt violated but was so shocked she did not know what to say. We did not go back. Also, I did not feel our dress was suspicious. We had come from a pilates class and were wearing yoga pants and workout tops. My friend had a light cardigan on, which is what the worker put her hands in. Later my friend said she wanted to go back to purchase the items she saw for a friend's child's birthday. She said when she went in it was the same woman working, and she feel her taking photos of her as she shopped. She refused to purchase from the store and left without saying a word. I am not positive our experiences are because of our race, but it made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. Our friend that goes in frequently has said she never had that issue, but she is also a pretty, white, blond woman. Not sure if others have had this experience here but if so you aren't alone. I always check when I walk by to see who is working because I only want to shop when I am treated as a respected customer. read more

Mamas, I do not recommend this store. You can pass on this one. After my experience there I had to look up the reviews to see if it was just me... Good to know they are consistently toxic when it comes to customer service. I shouldn't have purchased anything from this store -- because I was being treated as if I was going to steal. I asked the store manager, Ming Ming if she would recommend a toy that kids tend to gravitate towards for my friends kids who I would see the next day. Love this place. Very cool baby and toddler clothing right up my alley "hippie"! We were the original hippies. My nephew loved the shark and crab onesy. You won't find this anywhere else unless you spend a lot of time to look for it. So convenient. Right down the street. They giftwrap and ship, etc. They have so many rock and roll clothing -- I think Led Zep for the babies. I have to agree with others bad reviews. The customer service is awful. Nobody else was in the store when I walked in and the female employee just stared at me, no hello no smile, just stared. I was in a hurry to find a last minute gift or I would have walked right out and looked elsewhere. As I was looking through the books I heard her calling me from behind the counter, I looked at her and she gave me this annoying aggravated look. I guess she had been trying to get my attention and I had not heard her. Not sure why that pissed her off so much but maybe if a customer can't hear you maybe walk closer to them or speak louder? I have never been to the actual store - but came across the adorable website ( www.sol-baby.com) while looking for a unique baby shower gift. I am always a bit weary and completely OCD when it comes to ordering something online - will it fit? Is it quality? Can you return it? Will it arrive on time? The sweet sweet kind hearted owner just gave the kindest impression. I ordered two onesies (one was a Johnny Cash variety - "Crawl the Line" and the other said "My Mom Rocks" with a little electric guitar) and as she was placing the order - she accidentally made a penmark on one of the onesies. That happened to be the last of that color, and she emailed me and asked if I would be okay with a different color - and actually sent me $5 refund. It was no biggie - but it's reasons such as this that I prefer finding boutiques and independent shops that give you a different level of customer service than the big box chains. The onesies came in a cute kraft-colored box with the sol baby logo... it looked really nice. And - most importantly - it got the biggest Ahhhhhs! at the shower! I am Only giving a 1 Star because zero wasn't an option . Horrible customer service we were the only customers on a Thursday early afternoon , and the lady working was not friendly at all . She never said hello or asked if we needed help . We walked around and found a few items we were going to purchase . Suddenly my daughter sits her small dog who was on a leash on the floor and she snapped and said " I need you to pick up that dog " . Then a white lady with her daughter walks in and she becomes super nice to them and greets them asking if they need help . I quickly put all my items down and walked out . I love this store. They carry a line called Charlie Rocket for boys that is so cute, well-made and soft fabrics, it's spoiled me to buy other clothes. She also has really cute vintage rock onsies and t shirts. I've had really great customer service. Sorry about the person who didn't.
