Avoid Solano Cycle. They sold me a used scooter that never worked properly, even after assuring me it was the best option in their showroom. When I first looked at it, the scooter had a nail in the tire, and they seemed reluctant to repair it before delivering it. After only one week of ownership, the scooter left me stranded. I was told the issue had been fixed, but when I returned to pick it up, it still would not start. Now, seven months later, the scooter remains at their shop. They have stopped responding to my emails, and I have no idea what condition it is in because I have been traveling. They told me they would let me know whether they would take the scooter back or help me consign it, but I have received no updates or communication. You would expect customer service to be a priority, especially when a customer has been dealing with an unresolved issue for months. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience with Solano Cycle. read more

Updated review: since purchasing my scooter from Solano JB location the sales person and service tech is no longer there. I have paint missing from the front finder, which is how the piece came out the box. The original sale persons told me, when I arrived to purchase my bike(in full, no payments), the piece has already been ordered and will take 6wks. Fast forward to Dec 17th, I called to ask about an eta(winter break was approaching, perfect timing to replace the piece). Long story short, it's Jan 29th...the piece was never order, Nina at the JB location gave me the run around the 1st week I was calling her. Since, she has yet to return ANY of my phone calls. I have a year warranty on my scooter. I have had to reached out to another location which has been a bit of a struggle as well. read more

BUYER BEWARE - Started off great and went down hill from there. I went in to the Jax Beach location on a Saturday morning and spent 2 hours in the store really looking for the perfect fit with my daughter. We found a perfect match and bought the moped with a pick up for Tuesday. We rented a u-haul to pick it up as we live in south GA, $150 for a half day. We get there and the moped was still on the show floor as it was Saturday morning when we left. They did not even touch the moped until we got there! We went ahead and purchased a helmet while waiting. We waited around for 2 hours and the moped was still not ready! They took an entire hour before they informed us there was something wrong with it. I had to return the u-haul by a certain time so I left. We never received a call that day to let us know anything about the moped. We got a call the following day, Wednesday about how the moped was still not working but they were taking a part off another like model to fix the problem and they were going to personally bring it to me. I was reasonable and appreciated the fact that they were trying to make it right. Then 20 minutes before the close of business, they backed out on delivering it to me. At this point, I asked for a refund. This was just too much and completely unorganized of a place. I also looked at the reviews (something I should have done prior!!) and realized even if we did go through with this, if something was to go wrong and we HAD to deal with them again for the warranty, it would be one headache after another. We were waiting on someone to call us to let us know the refund was being processed and NOTHING! At this point they were screening our calls and not answering the phone. SATURDAY, an entire week since purchase! I had to call the orange park location and explain to that lady what was going on and she finally made it happen. She called me back within 10 mins with a status and the refund person called me a few hours later. THEN! We get to talking to the refund guy and he informed us the helmet was never actually charged (confirmed with our bank, it wasn't) and he was going to deduct the amount from the refund. I explained I wanted the refund and helmet processed as 2 different transactions, as they are two different transactions, and he kept asking me "why" "Isn't it the same card" "It will be the same amount of money" I had to raise my voice to get him to stop questioning me and just process them separately so my bank statement would reflect exactly what is going on. He had the audacity to ask why I was yelling. Needless to say, I should have read the reviews first. BUYER BEWARE read more

This place is a joke. I paid $200 for a repair last night and the next day the moped wouldn't start. When trying to explain the issue I was having the mechanic kept cutting me off, same for the last behind the desk. They refused to let me speak to management saying "we can't give that info out". What?? This is the 2nd time I have experienced such poor service here. If there was ANYWHERE else near my house to take the moped I would. I strongly encourage you to go elsewhere and stay away. I am extremely disappointed with the product and customer service at the beach location. My husband and I purchased a scooter and he rode it for about a week and the air filter fell off. Then a few days later the exhaust fell off. Just 35 days later the bike has completely broken down. It won't start nor do the instruments work. The bike was supposedly new when we bought it but there was rust one filth all over it. Every time we call we literally have to remind them every time for who we are. I mean we spent hours there a few weeks ago and have called back every week ever since. They will take no responsibility for the crappy scooter they sold us and we have actually purchased a new one elsewhere. One that is actually dependable. I've taken my scooter to get repaired 2-3 times at the jax beach location and I've always found the team to be rude, unaccommodating and extremely difficult to work with. I started taking my business to The Scooter Shop and haven't had a problem since. These guys definitely need a course in public relations. read more

My 16yr old son bought a scooter from them. We have had some miscommunication and some issues with his scooter. However, they have all been very helpful. They have repaired every problem in a timely manner with more efficient parts. They are still working to help my son get the most out of his transportation. I would recommend to be specific about what you will be using your scooter for. They will do their best to get you the scooter to meet your needs. :) They are standing behind their product. read more

I would never recommend this place to anybody!!! The service is horrible, they are not honest and it takes 3 to 7 months to get your scooter back once you take it to get it fixed, WHICH IT NEVER GETS FIXED BEFORE COMING BACK TO YOU ANYWAYS! at least in Jacksonville, FL. I payed 2500 for my genuine budy, and was told from the manager that this was an extremely reliable scooter and no one has ever came back disappointed. So I bought it. After having it for about 4 month with only a few rides on it, it starts breaking down on me. I call Solano and tell them my problem, they of course they tell me to bring it because they would have to look at it. This shop is about 10 mi. from my house, so I get it towed (because its a 50 cc )which cost about 60 dollars, to have it sit there for about a month to have them tell me "we tested it and there seems to be no problem". so, I got it back, rode it around for about 6 more months, it broke down again. This time I call another solano cycle shop about 20 mi. from my house. This shop, I was able to ride to. It sat there for about 2 months until they looked at it, and when they did, they said my engine was blown. Then they said they could try and fix the engine but they doubted anything would help. As I was fretting trying figure what to do, they call back about a week later and said they could fix it but they would have to order a new part and it would cost $280.00 so I agreed. Every time I would call them to see if my scooter was ready they would say "The part will be in on this day and we will call you and you will be ready to ride" but they never called every time they said they would, so I just ended going up there after 2 months of them giving me false hope. When I got up there, my scooter was sitting there fixed and ready, from what they said. I don't understand why it took so long to call. Its very inconsiderate, and also the time I wanted to see where the engine was in the shipping process, they would not tell me because I was not a dealer, which is ridiculous to me! So I got my scooter and drove it home with no problems, but when I got home turned it off and then about an hour later tried to start it up again, It wouldn't even start. I called back again and told them what happened and the guy who worked on my scooter and said that "my scooter was fixed and I shouldn't have any problems" said to me over the phone, " well, you probably have bottom end damage" and I said " Why didn't you tell me that part?" him :"Well... that would have cost another $400, you might as well have bought a new scooter " and then I said "that wasn't the point" then he said " try riding it around for a few days so the engine can break in" and then I told him " I cant even get it started" and then he had the nerve to say," well, I don't know what to tell you. I have customers coming in so I need to go" and he hung up on me. He basically left me to ride off with my scooter in a questionable state, and I wasted about $300. So, in short... These people are selfish, insensitive, unreliable thieves who continue to give you the run around. They seem to only be interested in selling the scooters and not repairing them. I WOULD NOT PURCHASE A SCOOTER FROM SOLANO if you are in the market. read more
