I'll give some benefit of the doubt. I had back to back no shows and I called to set up an appointment to set up the rejected me because of it. Fair enough. I called back to see if there was anything that could be done and the person on the phone said there really wasn't anything to do. Again fair. When I talked again about what could be done they quickly cut me off and hung up on me. Benefit of the doubt ends there. I played a role in it for sure not showing up, but to be hung up like that is incredibly rude and disrespectful. I went there and Hanna took care of me . She was awesome . She froze spots on my arms . And found a lump on might right side of my chest , under my skin . Scheduled for a biopsy. Turned out to be melanoma cancer . They scheduled me to there surgeon and removed it . So warm and friendly . Totally informed me every step of the way . As far as I'm concerned she saved my life due to here being so knowledgeable and thorough. If that Melanoma would have spread I don't want to think of where I would be right now . I personally cannot say enough good about everyone there in the Fairfield office . Thank you all . read more

Working out of town in the Dixie Fire area, had to come down for a surgery for my mom, that was only a consult...(Thanks Sis) so I stopped at Solano dermatology for portal help and to upload a picture of a problem back "open sore" that wouldn't go away. MY doctor was in Greece but they made an emergency call to Northbay to get permission or at least do a quick check of my back, or a courtesy QUICK freebie. An hour later I was having 2 biopsies and a dozen freeze-offs on my arms. They stayed late to accommodate me. I'll be heading back up to Quincy in a few days when my back has healed enough to not need band-aids. When I mentioned how I got rid of my Grover's Disease in 2 days with super hot water and 3 different anti-fungal shampoos and waiting 5 minutes, 2X/day the nurse told me, "Oh, 5 minutes is the trick." She knew all about that! The office is run by women, all very nice. Always have been, but I go to the Fairfield Office. The Vallejo branch was a bit curt when I went there for a Blue Light therapy years ago. (If you do the flurilacil(sp) treatment a few weeks before that, expect the Blue light therapy to work great!) I used Avocado, grapeseed and hemp seed oil that left my "NEW and IMPROVED" skin looking and feeling 20-30 years younger. I was 60, and it was better resulting skin than my Dr's, who's had 3 treatments at 40'ish. (I'm an old Az boy, ex-redneck) Something else - Just researching, Gundry's "Plant Paradox". Claims "success" with skin anomalies, including cancers, that are caused by eating foods our ancestors never ate and can't digest, assimilate or handle correctly... causing all sorts of diseases, illnesses, and havoc. Tony Robbins? Usher? Listening to Audio CD's, on the 4th one out of 7. SO much information, explains WHY you're ill or having some rashes/cancers. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER NEVER GO TO THIS DERMATOLOGY!!!! They're so rude no energy no hospitality. They never resolved my problem for the three years I've been there they've made me worse, my organs began to start getting worse from the tablets and creams they gave me. My liver got so damaged from them. I don't have cancer but they said I have cancer? they gave me so much radiology treatments. They thought they could do whatever they want to me because I'm a black man. My friend told me to go to another better dermatologist with way better care they found my problems and resolved them so quickly. read more

Abolsutely bad customer service. Phone wait time to schedule an appointment requires you to wait 15-20mins than be disconnected and call back. Secondly all appointments are for two-three months in advance. I called in June got booked for August. Due to unforeseen circumstances had to reschedule next available was October. I called my doctor and had them switch my referral. I would suggest them to those who want their treatment coordinated 3-4 months in advance. A lot of the individuals with 5 star reviews seem to be an older demographic and maybe that's their target audience. read more

I had an appointment today for an allergic reaction around my eyes and was seen by Dr. Reuben. From the office staff, his assistant. and himself - my experience was excellent! Dr. Reuben was thorough in examining other spots as well, answering my questions clearly. I most admire his very friendly demeanor and wonderful sense of humor, which was most appreciated in light of the "pins and needles "week with raging fires - and the overall uncertainty of these frightening times! I was able to get an appointment the same day I called for the Fairfield office. The girls at the front office were kind and professional. Office was clean and put together nicely, exam room spotless. The MD that I saw was a female, so very nice, professional, on point and accurate with my diagnosis. Took the time to explain what my problem was, how I got it, and how to treat it properly. I am so thankful I was able to get an appointment in the Fairfield office that day, I will continue to be seen there for future appointments. I went to Dr. Ruben last week . I was so impressed with him and his staff. They are so kind and caring. Dr. Ruben called me today regarding results of my exam. Such a very very nice doctor. I am turning 70, and have seen lots of doctors in my life. Dr Ruben is one of the very best. He is so knowledgeable, and just such a good person . I was referred to Solano dermatology and Associates by my primary care physician because of a mole on my knee. The office itself was a little difficult to locate through the parking lot. There are at least three other building sharing this gigantic parking lot. There are no signs for the office posted anywhere. The numbers were hard to see on the buildings because of the overgrown trees. Once we found the right building, we walked into the entrance. It's a pretty big office. The staff was very nice and to my surprise, the wait was not long at all. The copay was what I expected. Once I was in with the doctor, she listened to all my concerns and fears. She examed my mole and determined that I had nothing to worry about. She had wonderful bedside manners. I like this office and will continue to come here for my dermatological needs. read more

Super expensive. You will be charged not only to have a biopsy, but again to have it examined. I was told by the dermatologist that my insurance should cover the biopsy but she didn't say it would be an additional $100 to get results. I went in for a consultation, came out still having to pay over $200- after the insurance adjustment. read more

The staff is very knowledgeable and took the time to make sure I was comfortable and understood the course of treatment. She was very rude the first time I seen her and made a comment about not sure if you can afford this it's quite expensive when referring to some creams that can be bought in store. At my follow up appointment she stated she was going to prescribe me something for the dry skin that still had been a consistent problem. I was impressed with the office staff and their ability to multi task, the office was extremely busy, but they made sure to greet and or acknowledge each patient. The office was clean and well maintained which is always something you look for when going to the doctor. I seen the provider and was explained what was going on with my skin and what the next step would be. I was happy with my visit and will be returning for follow ups as needed. read more

So, we waited for an appointment for a couple weeks. My son was referred to these folks. We had a 3 hour round trip to come visit them for no reason. Twice. They called me the morning of the appointment to tell me that they had a couple of appointments canceled and asked if we could arrive a couple of hours early. I spoke with my wife and then immediately called them back as I told them I would let them know asap. I explained that my wife had already made arrangements to leave work early but she couldn't change them to leave earlier so we needed to keep our original appointment. They put me on hold and then came back on to say that it would be fine. Apparently, they later called back and left a message saying they couldn't be bothered to stay to see us and would have to reschedule. Well, I didn't get the message and drove all the way down to waste our time. My wife missed half a day of work unpaid and now we're having to drive an hour further the day after to have the issue handled. These people are trash and obviously don't care about their customers. If we flaked on them, they'd likely charge for the appointment. But our time is worth nothing to them. I'm madder than a hatter over this BS and plan to complain to whoever the boss is, not that I think it will accomplish anything with these folks. Stay clear of folks because they are inept in my opinion and experience. read more

Although the doctors did not solve my dermatological issue, that's not the problem that I had. The staff member that I encountered on my second visit was completely inappropriate. I really cannot believe that this person would be working in a healthcare environment. I won't go into the details, but suffice it to say that I will never return nor will I ever recommend this dermatology clinic. Not only should the staff member have been fired for what she did, she should've been forced to go to remedial training on how to act like a human being. I saw Dr. Campbell for a routine mole check and a weird skin discoloration on my hands that I picked up in the third world. Turns out squeezing limes in the sun caused me phyto photo dermatitis, which Dr. Campbell quickly and accurately diagnosed. She was professional, courteous and explained the fancy jargon so that I could understand. I would highly recommend her. read more

Dr. Beutner is excellent. Dr. Mraz is excellent. Office staff used to be great, but recently has declined in quality. One in particular has been patronizing and disrespectful. Maybe she came from the Vallejo office, where that attitude is standard. The office staff do not follow through on clerical stuff they say they will do, among other issues. Too bad; the previous crew used to be so nice and diligent. Update: Office staff even worse than last time. I can't give details, or they will know who I am and fire me. Docs are now less careful with paperwork, staff are even more disrespectful and worse. If you want to be treated with respect, consider a different practice. read more

I had a horrible experience. Both my daughter and I had an appointment with Meghan Kennedy. She had suggested 3 different items for my daughter and 3 for me. She wrote them on a business card. I was confused and asked so will these be electronically sent to my pharmacy and she said that the front desk can help me. So I go to the front desk, give the woman the two business cards and ask the same question of will it be forwarded to my pharmacy. Instead I was told the most of the items can be filled by there office. One being the tretinoin cream- with a price tag of $106. I said that my insurance would cover it for $5. Her response- sometimes insurance companies dispute the coverage. I'll take my chances. When I asked to speak to Meghan again, the front desk employee told me that she has moved on to her next appointments. Mind you that I had two back to back appointments that didn't take over 30 minutes. I think I still was within the time frame to talk to her. So a total of only three (of the original 6) items were transferred to my pharmacy, which included he tretinoin. Total of $15...compared to the over $300 they would have charged. Seriously terrible communication and service. Avoid this place. Wasted two appointments. They are more interested in up charging and getting a cut from selling over priced goods. Especially after I was clear that I had tried obaji and Rodan and Gields and didn't like the price tag or the results. And she recommends overpriced obaji products. Horrible, HORRIBLE experience. I took time off from work for an appointment to have a skin check for potential skin cancer since it runs in my family and I have some concerns. My appointment is at 3pm and I arrived about 3:04pm as I got extremely lost being not that familiar with this part of Fairfield. The front desk people were nice and helpful enough. I sat in the waiting room for about 45 minutes before I was brought back by the MA. She brought me back, found out why I was there and went to get me a gown. She was very apologetic about the time it took her to get me the gown, and then I had no more communication for at least 30 minutes. I am sitting on this uncomfortable weird examination chair wearing nothing but my underwear and one of those backless hospital gowns in a small room approaching an hour and a half since my appointment time, on unpaid time off waiting to be told whether or not I might have skin cancer... and no one feels the need to even say anything to me. Not to mention I have to pick my daughter up in Vacaville at 5:30pm. I read the magazine that I had brought cover to cover, and once done just sat there listening to what seemed to be the doctor talking to another patient in the room next to me for what felt like hours, but was at least 20 minutes. They were talking and laughing and I am sitting there on the verge of a full-blown panic attack. I finally go out to ask the MA how much longer, and I hear her knock on the door next door and ask, to which the Doctor rudely responds "HOPEFULLY 5 minutes". Really? It is now 4:30 and I had a 3pm appointment that I felt bad as hell about being 4 minutes late to. A few more minutes went by and I basically lost it my anxiety was so bad, which I admit was not the right way to handle things but there is NO EXCUSE for them to EVER let it get to that point. I knocked on the door (after the MA says "I would NOT do that", and was like, "you have other patients that are waiting for you and the amount of time you have spent in with this patient WITHOUT BOTHERING TO COMMUNICATE WITH ME is extremely disrespectful. And I went back in my room and slammed the door and put my clothes on... at which point the doctor (Dr. Mraz?) finally comes in, but by that point my anxiety and anger were so much that I never wanted to see this woman again let alone have her examine my naked body! As I was leaving she says, "I would've spent the same amount of time with you"... Well, I just wanted a thorough exam, not to sit there and bullshit with her for half an hour, especially considering she was an HOUR AND A HALF behind on her appointments!!! But I think my biggest issue is just how plain disrespectful and inconsiderate it is to not even have someone come tell me that it would be this long of a wait and see how I was doing and if I needed to reschedule. I work for a law office and I would NEVER treat a client this way!!! I really, truly don't think that this too much to ask. I am a very understanding person if people are considerate towards me, but because bare minimum courtesy was apparently too much for the staff of Solano Dermatology, it was not a pleasant experience for anyone involved. Dr. Jennifer Fu and her team were absolutely the best when it came to removing a benign skin issue on my 86 year old mother. My mom has severe dementia and they treated her with such kindness and patience. I cannot thank them enough for their thoughtfulness during a visit I anticipated would be stressful. Caren Campbell shouldn't be working anywhere near children. I made sure my children's pediatrician was made well aware before she refers anymore patients to this bitter person. She is cold, arrogant, and argumentative with the bedside manner of a dish sponge. She walked into the room with no greeting, sat, and barely looked at my child's skin condition. She actually spent more time on her phone swiping through pictures of other conditions that she thought might be similar to my child's. I probably could have done that at home. Worth also mentioning is that many of the photos she swiped through showed male nudity and was in plain sight of my child!!! Absolutely no discretion, tact or class. I am appalled that someone with such little experience was allowed to practice on a minor. I realize not every medical professional has children, but the ones that don't should really be trained on how to engage with children and make them feel comfortable. read more

But because of the appearance and my history she opted for me to have it removed...that day! It was a simple procedure, virtually no pain. My doctor was quick, efficient and professional.
