This is one of my favorite doctors in the whole world! They have a beautiful office , California Dermatology, on Alfred Noble Drive in Hercules. Dr. Freeney is so sweet and kind, yet has such expertise! She is an excellent dermatologist, very knowledgeable about my skin and how to keep it looking young and fresh for 70 years! I have now been seeing Dr. Ingrid Freeny here for three years for my own skin issues and skin checks due to family history, and also now take my children to her for their eczema. She is thoughtful, kind, funny, and brilliant - and the team of people she works with are great as well. She always spends enough time with us to make sure that I (and my kids if we're there for them) understand her recommendations and why she's recommending specific things, and her office has gotten several medicated creams approved through our insurance as we've been trialing to see what works best without me having to do a lot of back and forth like I have had to do with other specialists/medications. She is also trauma-informed - for example, I didn't even have to ask her to tell me before touching me when she was doing a skin check on my back, she just does that for everyone. I am so grateful to have found her and her team, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a dermatologist. read more

Would not recommend and would give 0 stars if I could. They treated a wart just enough to make it seem like it was gone only for it to return. I went there over five times and they are just taking my money as well as the insurance. The issue still is not resolved but they want me to come back in. Won't go back. read more

Didn't look up the travel length as I'm new to SF, which jas made it hard to make appointments and my results and experience were so great, Im hesitant to look closer. Dr. Ting is very informative, kind, and professional. i did not feel rushed, up sold, or received. Very honest, and body positive. I only wish it was closer. I highly recommend it. My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Ting, for 15+ years. We've received outstanding care from him and his associates. Right now, I'm receiving Light Therapy for severe hives, with no known cause. Dr. Ting ran an extensive allergy testing, trying new medication, and now light therapy. I have full confidence he'll find an answer. Dr. Ting's front office staff is amazing when I come in for treatment, always friendly and personable to all. In August I saw Annie for a mole shave excision, and after getting a second opinion from a board certified dermatologist, I can confidently say the procedure was horribly botched. A shave excision is supposed to remove a mole from the surface of the skin but leave the skin underneath intact. Well, Annie removed all of the skin underneath and I now have a gaping hole in my face that is going to require plastic surgery to correct. The skin is totally gone. There is nothing that can be done cosmetically since there is no skin to repair. I am devastated, I am furious, and I feel foolish for trusting an inexperienced PA with my face. I should've waited for a board certified dermatologist to do what should've been a simple procedure. This is going to cost me thousands to fix. Whatever you do, do NOT trust this practice with anything other than prescribing face cream. I sent photos of my face asking how the practice could take accountability and fix the mistake and never heard back. They don't care. My insurance paid them and they aren't going to do the right thing. 0/5 read more

I have to agree with Rosanna, who said that the staff was unfriendly and the place unwelcoming. The pandemic seems to have taken its toll on these folks. The staff looked unhappy, shut down, and, in the case of one of the staff, angry. I felt like I was at the DMV, not a nice dermatology clinic. The dermatologist seemed very good, but she was basically efficient, not warm or caring. She looked stressed and as though she couldn't wait to leave. I felt stressed being there and couldn't wait to leave. The receptionist was nice, though. I appreciate that. read more

Dr Freeny is amazing! She is very caring, sincere,talented as a doctor, and very knowledgeable and up to date on all methods in treating skin issues. She helped me with an age spot on my forehead. She made sure that I felt no pain in the procedure. She informed me of my options as well as how to take care of my skin long term. This was my second visit in 2 years. Not sure about the negative reviews, trust the many 5 star Yelp & Google reviews. I have been to this office on 3 occasions and have been extremely pleased. The office is very clean and i am glad they follow covid precautions to ensure the safety of the patients and staff. All of the office staff have been very pleasant and courteous. Their appointment scheduling is easy and i have never had to wait at this office. They are efficient!! Dr. Freeny is EXCEPTIONAL. Dr. Ting is a miracle worker. I have done many of the services, from laser lipo to tattoo removal, but my favorite thus far is Sculptra. Before Sculptra, my face at 38 became sallow, with the hollows of my cheeks sunken in and these pouches by my mouth. Sculptra injections stimulate natural production of collagen. My face is now nice and round and I am LOVING the look. The day after the injections, I received several compliments with one friend saying I looked 15 years younger. Worth.every.penny. Additionally, there is not one other doctor that I would entrust my face to. Dr. Ting has proved time and again that he listens to my concerns and has never pushed a service on me that isn't in my best interest. HIGHLY recommend California Dermatology Care. read more

This review is for Ingrid Freeny. What an amazing dermatologist. After going to a dermatologist in Sacramento, and being completely disappointed - My partner and I searched high and low for the perfect place to go to get treatments done on keloids. If you have them, you know how sad it is with the very little treatment they have to get rid of them and the recurrence that can happen with poor treatment. On our first appointment with Dr. Freeny, she explained, in depth, what keloids were, the treatments available, the pros and the cons of each, and never made us feel stupid or bad about having the scars. If you're looking for a dermatologist, and you're close to this location, you should definitely make the trip. I drive over an hour to get here because it's worth feeling the comfort and knowing the Doctor taking care of the problem actually cares and knows what she's talking about. Thank you Dr. Freeny!! This review is long overdue. I went to see Dr. Freeny for the first time a few years ago to address some hair loss issues. I've met many dermatologists throughout my life, but Dr. Freeny is BY FAR the best and most knowledgeable dermatologist I've ever met. She takes the time to explain things very thoroughly and I never leave the appointment feeling like I didn't get my questions answered. She is very caring and takes the time to learn about the body as a whole, and not just things related to the skin. I suffer from a very complex disease, which does impact my skin, and Dr. Freeny has been wonderful when it comes to working with me to address the dermatological issues caused by my chronic illness. I really wish every doctor could be like her. Even when I don't obtain the results that I wish I could (there is still no cure for hair loss), I still feel like I've received the best care I could possibly get. I completely trust her. She is super smart and really a great person! I absolutely recommend her to anyone who is looking for a dermatologist. I have never rated a business without actually being served or in this case seen by a doctor there. I made a new patient appointment over the phone. The receptionist seemed nice but not the most experienced or knowledgeable. They sent me an email with patient registration information. They failed to tell me that it expired in 72 hours. I then called to have it resent. The girl who answered seemed in a rush but said she sent a new one, I never received it. I happened to be in the area the following week so I stopped by the office. I could not believe the way they treated me when I knocked on the door. No smile, no greeting. I told her what I needed and I was let inside after a temperature check ( probably the only right thing they did) Both the girls in the office at the time did not greet me, apologize for the confusion, ask me anything, welcome me to the office, or even say see you next week. They simply handed me the forms and did not say another word. Not a word. I was in complete shock and simply handed the forms back and said cancel my appointment I will not be coming to this practice. They took the forms back without a word and I left. It's unbelievable and so unfortunate. I was looking forward to meeting Dr Freeny. If the office is run in this fashion it speaks loudly about the practice and reflects poorly on everyone. read more

I'm surprised this place does not have more reviews. I found this office going on yelp after my primary doctor told me I should get a freckle checked out. This place was close so I just wanted to try it out, since I never went to a dermatologist before I really didn't know what to expect. The office is clean, and most of all if you have a appointment at a certain time you will be scene at that time, you won't be waiting hours in the waiting room. You can tell Dr. Freeny really cares about you and is passionate about her career and patients. She immediately asked what my concerns are and educated me on everything! She spent time with me, witch really means a lot because SO many doctors nowadays only want to see you for the minimal amount of time. I went in to get a consultation on my freckle, but during that ONE visit I got a biopsy done, got some ance medicine and even some scar gel! And what else is great? She said if I have a scar from the biopsy she will laser it for free! If I ever move out of the area I'll definitely travel to see her again. read more

I just had a appointment for my Four year old son with Dr.Freeny and she was absolutely amazing. My son has severe Excema and within one hour we were taking an allergy test , and she gave us a plan and once the results were in she recommended some new creams and diet a plan and within one week I saw a huge change with my son skin . I trust Dr Freeny without hesitation. I've been a patient for a year. I came to her after researching doctors who are familiar with and treat keloids. She has done an incredible job flattening the scars I developed after several surgeries. After meeting and beginning treatment, the scars no longer hurt, itch or grow thicker. Also scars have flattened and become lighter pigmented. She gave me an honest explanation of tteatment and expected result. I've regained my confidence, now able to wear clothes that I had decided to put in the back of closet or give away.
