Solano Traffic Court - Over 17 min on hold. It just rings then hangs up - Public Services & Government Near Me - Fairfield, California

This court needs to invest in some employees. Traffic division has 2 clerks and they take for ever to process people. Myself and other people were waiting for more than 2 hours in line to get to a window. That's just poor placement of work force. This was my first time to the Fairfield court and saw big fancy buildings for like 2-3 blocks but no attention to the actual service to the people of the county. I guess spending some money and management on placing adequate personnel would help this very simple issue that frustrates hundreds of people everyday. read more

Let me start from the beginning with this department. I received a ticket a couple months back for "Incomplete registration" I did pay my registration, however, I could not get a smog. I tried my hardest. I eventually sold the car "As is" and call 707-207-7360 to ask them what would I need to pay my ticket. The lady on the phone ask me if I corrected the ticket and had a sheriff sign it off; I explained to her I sold my vehicle and the sheriff's office will not sign off on that. She then said, "The sheriff's department does not know what they're speaking of; bring in release of liability and pay the $25". I went to the Solano county court house on Union Ave in Fairfield on 9/24/15 and received the worst customer services EVER. They treated me like I had several tickets or I was a convict. I walked up to the counter and she looked at me for, seems like 1 minute, and finally said, "What do you need?" Not a smile or Hi, how can I help you? It was very frustrating, the lady told me the release of liability was not feasible to write off. I further explained, I just spoke with someone and they advised me to come in with this form. I asked if I can speak with a supervisor; and in walks the supervisor with attitude from the start. Stating we cannot except this release of liability, it has to be a DMV form. I let her know I am receiving wrong information from everyone and I do not appreciate the way they are treating me. She just looked at me with a dead look and said, "we cannot except this and that is the right information". No one apologized for the wrong information I received or told me another option. I told her I rather just pay the ticket in full because they were not putting in any effort to helping me. The supervisor rolled her eyes and walked away. As we go to take payment the Customer services rep asked for my card, at this time I am so frustrated at the way they are handling the situation, I slightly threw it on the table. She looks at me and says, you need to sign the back of your ATM. I told her no I do not. I worked for the Credit union for over 8 years and it is the authorized users discretion if they want to sign the card or not. She told me she will not take my payment if I do not sign it. At this point I am angry now, I have NEVER been treated like this. It is absolutely ridiculous. I feel they are just here to argue with individuals and act nasty to everyone. I told them I will pay on line because this is honestly bull crap. Both the supervisor and rep were being sarcastic as I was leaving, telling me to have a wonderful day. Now anyone that was in there will know, that was the nicest thing they said, throughout the entire conversation; and they were just saying this to frustrate me more. After I left I went to DMV to see what they can give me, showing the new owner. They informed me that they cannot give me anything, everything gets electronically sent to Sacramento. They are not sure what Solano traffic Court is speaking about. I showed them what I had; which is the release of liability that was attached to my title, with everyone's information on it. DMV said, this should be reasonable; not sure what else they need from you. I asked the rep from DMV if she has any suggestions, she stated to go online and do a release of liability and print it. I told her already did it when I sold the vehicle on 9/8/15. Can I do it again. She said, "yes, you can do it has many times as you want". Good information to know. So I call Solano County Traffic Division at 707-207-7360 at 11:57am on 9/25/15 I got another rep that was not helpful and yet rude again (can you believe that) I told her would this form be okay. She said, "It is up to the judge and she cannot answer that question". I told her I never get right information from anyone when I call or they just aren't trying to help. If I can please speak with someone else. She placed me on hold came back and said, "My lead spoke with you yesterday and gave you all the information you need to know!" I told her I am not happy with this kind of service and I want to speak to a manager. She said, "We don't have one" and hung up on me. I tried calling back at 12:07pm and the phone system is no longer open until 2pm. This is outrageous, I have never experience such rude, nasty people. I do not want to go back inside because I am beyond frustrated; which I am sure anyone in my shoes would be. Individuals should not be treated like this, ever. I understand they have people that go in there and give them a hard time, however, I was not one of those individuals. Each and everyone should be treated different we are not all the same. If these reps are not happy with their jobs or they do not like working with the public, then maybe they should be let go. I am not a criminal nor do I have a long traffic ticket trail. I am just a person that could not afford to fix her car and wanted to pay my ticket, in which, they made it impossible. read more

Read your citation carefully!!! This is the worst county to deal with at this rate of technology and online services. You cannot pay for traffic ticket online if you are qualify for traffic school or of if you choose to correct with proof of a ticket!!!!??? It's 2016 here. It's either you go in person or reply by mail. Always do a certified mail with signature if you choose to by mail. If you call the traffic court, do not hang up. You are place on hold and will answer by a representative even though it doesn't sound like it at the end of the message. They are so out of date on their message. read more

The male representative I spoke to was very curt and even cut me off as I explained my situation, immediately prompting me for my docket number. He also proceeded to question why I wanted to switch my court date. Frankly, it is really not your job to question why I want to change the date. Call me old fashioned, but people usually say," have a good day," even a simple,"bye," would go a long way. Instead, I was just hung up on when he decided we were done talking. read more

this is by far the worst experience dealing with any government entity i have ever ever ever been through. i have never been to any city in solano county. one day was riding on 880 past fairfield, chp pulls me over for the most absurd thing saying he smells unburnt gas coming from my exhaust. from there i am asked to pop my hood and a number of other things on my camaro which unfortunately leads to them towing my car. i pay 700 to get my car out next day. few weekd go by havent received any notice from court clerk or county to come to court for the matter. so on my end case goes unresolved. a whole year later to date i am being harassed with a hold on my license by solano county for failure to appear and failure to pay. here's where it gets tricky. solano county is one of the only counties to put a hold until you pay "in full" i went to walk in court to have failure to appear removed and the rude clerk viciously told me i couldn't see a judge and sent me to gcservices collections on the 2nd floor. arriving there i was met by a nasty rude lady who told me i am to pay 1400 in full to release hold. i have another matter in san jose in which judge is telling me solano county is doing illegal things as far as me not seeing a judge goes read more
