I was pleased that my manicure lasted almost a month. When I went to take off the polish I could not get it off. I tried polish remover and when that didn't work I tried every home remedy possible. Finally I scraped it off. That's when I realized (after researching) that there are different kinds of manicures and I had evidently gotten a gel manicure. According to cosmopolitan.com: "When you have gel on your nails, the polish continues to cure in direct sunlight or in any exposure to UV--which is all around us," says Lim, adding, "the longer you keep your polish on, the longer it cures, which makes it much harder to remove." The safest bet is to head to your manicurist after two weeks, where they can gently remove your polish without damaging or stripping your nails." I wish I would have been told this because I would have gone with a simple fingernail polish. My nails are sooooo dry and brittle and even after getting off the polish and clipping them seven of my nails keep chipping. If your special treat to yourself is having your nails done every two weeks I would give Solar Nails a try. If not, make sure you ask if they will just use regular nail polish. read more

I have to say that my experience today at Solar Nails was very nice. I took my 86 yr. old mother to get a manicure. All she wanted then to do was cut her finger nails and cuticles. The lady that did her nails was so sweet to her and called my mother "meme". After she cut her nails she massaged her hands all while she sat in her little red wheel chair. My mother enjoyed the manicure so much that she even had her lip and chin waxed. Before her lip and chin wax, her finger nails were polished with a clear nail polish.After the waxing, she was treated to a mini facial. My mother really enjoyed her mini spa day and is planning on going again. read more

Worst nail experience ever. When I walked in, a nail tech immediately shouted at me to sit down and "PICK COLOR" before I could say a word. I was rushed into a chair without a chance to ask if they could do the design I wanted. When I tried to talk to my nail tech about what I wanted he grabbed my hand, shoved it into a bowl of acetone and said "I KNOW WHAT I DOING!" When I realized he was in fact lifting my nail off, he told me he actually couldn't do what I wanted and I asked him why he wouldn't tell me that in advance. I told him he had ruined my natural nails, got up, and went somewhere else. He was extremely rude, uncaring, and ignored the services I was looking for. They never apologized to me or cared that they ruined my nails. read more

Possibly the worst manicure to date. Went in today around 2pm to have powder (SNS) nails done. I was greeted with a smile and chose my color, which i said to the nail technician "I'd like red, this color looked good for a plain Jane red". She got the color and came back to the station, where she then set up her cell phone to FaceTime someone. She didn't remember me saying I did not want artificial nails, so she asked me again two seconds later because she was too busy talking on her cellphone. Instead of checking the color, like most nail technician do when I get my nails done, she hurriedly did my nails for me to realize they were bright orange. I stopped her the second I noticed and said "this isn't what I expected, I said I wanted red. I wish I had noticed the color but you didn't let me see". She told me to go pick out another color so i said "i just want a plain red, that's it". She picked out a color then proceeded to do my nails, again without stopping to let me see the color. Anywho who gets SNS nails knows you can't see the true color until they paint a layer over the powder. Then the technician even told me "next time she will show me color first so I don't waste anymore powder". I thought it was rude that she was on the phone the entire time & she was so carried away on the phone that she was hurting me when filing my nails....or should I say fingers. My skin is scraped off, my nails are not filed evenly & my finger tips hurt, even 6 hours later. There is an indentation where the nail isn't even flat on top from her rushing through my manicure. I am normally a generous tipper at nail salons/restaurants/etc., so I get pretty frustrated when I'm not even given decent service. I won't be back, but maybe this review will help someone to choose a better salon that values their customers a little more. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE!!! Im here visiting family and wanted to get nails done with my Aunt. We came here and it was such an awful experience. As a doctor, my hands are always seen by patients and getting a decent manicure is important to me. After getting moved over to get my hand nails painted, I noticed my toe nails not entirely painted. Asked the lady to fix my nail polish on my toes because the whole nail wasn't painted. She argued and started yelling at me in front of all the customers and staff, saying I messed up her work. Told her, I'm not here to argue, I'm here for service. She continued to publicly shame me for wanting her to redo her work and said everyone loves her work. I smiled back at her and she told me to not smile. Paid $80 dollars for two person mani/ pedi. I'm 100% cancelling my charge and reporting this business to BBB. No paying customer should ever be treated like a low class citizen. You're in America Sweetheart... we do business differently UPDATE!!! The pedicure I received was very painful. Once my pedicure was finished I was told to move from my chair for the next customer despite there being 8 other chairs for people. We walked in and told the lady that I would be getting a full set and my mother will be getting a manicure they told us to pick out our color and have a seat we would be up next we picked our color had a seat waited over an hour just to have them take people that came in after us the looks and sneers that they were giving me made it clear that they were not going to service me it's obvious to me that this location has an issue with the gay community. I will definitely be telling everyone I know to boycott this location and I suggest you go down the street to super nails and salon who did an amazing job for me. read more

Just walked out. Paid for a spa manicure that did not even pass for a basic one. Toenails were not clipped. Cuticles are still ragged and bits of wax and pumice are still all over my legs. I was visiting my mother here in Easley and I needed a pedicure and manicure for an event this weekend. Do yourself a favor, and steer clear of this place. Firstly, I'm sorry for the two reviewers that experienced such treatment. I on the other hand, am so pleased with my treatment while at this place. They were much cheaper than the other place I used to go to, you know the one, that charges you $1.00 If you use a debit card. John took care of me, and he used a grater on my feet, I saw what he removed. He was outstanding in all he did. From my feet to my nails to my waxing. He used a hot bag on my feet and hands, WOW!!! I've never had that before. My feet look amazing! I will return, I will be back! I'm glad I found this place. read more

I am not someone who regularly gets a pedicure so it would have been nice for this business to be kind and provide some information on how the process works. The lady was not kind when I asked for a "basic" pedicure. She made me feel cheap when I am not! She was very short with me and did not provide any adequate explanations of my choices of services. She was not gentle cutting or trimming my nails. She also cut an area on the bottom of my foot with a rasp or some other item leaving me with an angry looking 3 line cut. ( She did not acknowledge this. I felt pain at one point and discovered the cut when I got home.) Also, my nails were smeared within 5 minutes of leaving the salon. They were obviously not adequately dried. I sat under some type of drier for 7-8 minutes and nobody came over to say I was finished or anything. Needless to say, I will never go back. I had a pedicure and nail tech made one of my toes bleed because she was not paying attention. The end result was that I had gotten a bad infection. I ended up going to the doctor and he was concerned with the level of sanitation methods used. I returned to this nail salon and told them about the infection. They insisted it wasn't them and didn't like that I even mentioned it. I am sure it was them that caused the infection. I won't be going back there. read more

Extremely disappointed. I went to get a fill-in. My actual full set was done at Nail Spa by Staples in Easley. I go in to get a fill in, the woman who did my nails had no name tag, didn't speak she just pointed to a chair for me to sit. She grabs my hand and immediately starts putting acrylic over my WHOLE nail. Not just the part where my nails had grown out. She didn't file anything or take the nail polish off. Then she asked me what color I wanted and there was this beautiful light blue but she told me not to touch the polish. So I have her the number and we both pointed and agreed that was the one I wanted. So I go sit down and SHE GOT THE WRONG COLOR. Now we both saw and heard what number I said. To add on to this horrible experience, I got my eyebrows waxed. And the lady knew she screwed up. She goes "your eyebrows are really thin so this is why they look the way they do" and I'm like okay. She gives me the mirror and literally HALF OF MY EYEBROW IS GONE. After that, she charged me $45 for a FILL-IN. Fill-ins are 25 dollars I believe and a full set is 45. She didn't give me an explanation as to why she charged me so much and I did not tip and she gave me a nasty look when I didn't. I will never be returning. read more

This place is horrible. I will never in my life go back. I came in a little over an hour to close, but I guess this was still an inconvenience to them as I was treated horribly and have never been treated in such a way at a place of business. I was trying to get an ombré nail (which apparently was a problem it seemed) and she rudely pointed me to their selection. I told her these looked like solid colors, they did not look like ombré at all. To which she replied "Oh well I don't know then. This is what we have. We don't have what you want." I told her yes I saw that I will pick something else out. She told me I had plenty of time because it would be at least another 30 minutes. I walked out at this point. There was only one lady in front of me and she was finishing up with her at the time. I had already been told it would be about 10-15 minutes when I first got there, and I had already been in there about 10 minutes. The lady just did not want to provide service to me. Everywhere else in Easley was closing and I was hoping to be able to come here to get a manicure since they stay open longer. Just a manicure that's it. And I was treated rudely and did not get the manicure I came to get. I will not be going back EVER and will tell everyone I know of this horrible experience. No way at all to run a business.
