Went to Solar Nails on a Friday morning to try this place out when it wasn't busy however the nail tech I got when I walked in was quick to attend to anyone else but me. She even made me cut my own nails because she was afraid to "hurt" me. I waited for another 10 minutes after I cut my own nails a different nail tech came and helped me but wasn't gentle or giving me her undivided attention. Nails are uneven and I have about 4 cuts on my cuticles. They didn't even achieve the look I wanted for my nail design. I wouldn't recommend this nail salon to anyone. read more

Super long wait. Technician was rude and kept making fun of how bad my nails looked; I'd just come back from a four month long training, so yeah, my nails weren't picture perfect, but it didn't warrant blatant rudeness.. I asked for my nails to be rounded off, technician said "I already did it once, it's fine." Walked out with the squarest nails ever. The place is also not very clean or orderly ... there were clothes and towels messily piled on top of a counter and the equipment is old ... would not recommend. Solar Nails is located in front of Walmart, parking is a non-issue, plenty of space. This is my first experience at Solar Nails, I received the normal greeting from a gentleman, with a mask on, "Can I Help you". The nail shop appears clean, a little crowded with equipment but neat, I was seated right away, as someone came from the back area to do my nails. My nails are not as full with color as I would like, it may be because the color I picked was near the end of the bottle.... The technician did not get a new bottle, instead she tried to get out what she could, so my nails are not as full. Overall I am not impressed, I did see signs for a mani/ pedi private area, so that's a great option for couples. At this time I would not recommend this shop to a friend, I think I will try out the pedicures before I completely say I'm done. read more

My wife went there for a manicure and have her toes done. The lady told my wife it would only be $5 dollars to paint her toes but ended up charging her $35. She paid but I will make sure she tells all her friends to stay away from this place. read more

If I could give zero stars I would the old viet lady with the glasses and tattoo eyebrows was the worst nail tech I've ever been to. First when I walk in they ask me what I want I told her a full set told me to pick a color and have a seat, I didn't get service until 20 minutes which I didn't have. A problem with but it was closer to when they were closing so she was trying to convince me not to get a full set, and basically tried to tell me what to get that required minimal effort to her which were French tips and just leave it square. I felt bad they were close to closing so I was fine with it. But when you're rushing and being so rough to the point where you're making me bleed that's where I have a problem and didn't even bother to tell me about it. Horrible experience! Nail are uneven way to think not at all what I wanted. Asked multiple times for something different she didn't listen, and instead added jewels that I didn't want. One lady was so rude to my daughter. They didn't even paint her nails right. Don't waste your money or time it's not worth it! read more

I needed a haircut, Fort Polk closes at 5:00 and my wife told me there was a barber at Solar Nails open until 8pm. I was excited because I was overdue for a haircut. Got there and true to Leesville it was closed before the time listed. The lady next door said oh she left about 6pm and has been leaving early. That's just wrong! If you advertise your open until 8pm then unless its an emergency stay open until 8pm. After reading the reviews I'm glad you were closed, I'm not giving you my business. read more

My nails always come out lumpy and uneven. They are NOT gentle at all. My cuticles are swollen and hurt to the touch. They are rude and constantly made ugly comments about my nails. Take your business elsewhere. read more

The absolute worst. The wait was unacceptable with only one other person receiving a pedicure. That person totaled 3 in all and 7 total pedi chairs. The technician was inexperienced and made the weirdest facial expressions while doing the service. Now I know that suggests I had hammer time in my shoe but that is not the case. She just consistently made these faces as if she either didn't understand me or was confused. Then she's give detailed instructions for me to position my feet. This is the worst nail salon in Leesville. They are rude, the quality of work they offer is sloppy and amatuer. When I first started going to this nail salon I think my pedicures and tips were done correctly but honestly its a way to keep you coming back for the same service but in this salon its a bunch of primadonnas. You cant get the one who did your nails right the first time. They tend to be over priced for the area and offer less services. I went in there one time early and they had some walk ins and pretty much dropped everything on the spot. What was even stranger was there where other attendents. That was it for me. Horrible service! Wasn't greeted when i walked in. After 10 minutes of sitting there, they asked me what i wanted and i told them a full set. They said okay l and walked away. I said should i pick out a color now? They said "ok". So i got a color. Sat down again for about 15 minutes. Finally they called me up. I sat down and the girl started to do my nails. She was very rough. And she said if i knew about gel nails. And i yes but i would not like them today. And she was like "oh are you sure they are very nice only 15 dollars more. And i politely said no thanks. Then she starts telling me stories of people who don't get gel nails and they come back and get refills when they should of gotten gel. She would not stop! Booked the private room for three mani/pedis. Waited an hour for two of the manicurists to arrive after being seated. Had to call the main number to get someone back there. 2nd person cut and drew blood with no apologies, asked my daughter to remove her own nail polish on her fingers, then left and never came back. We chose NOT to have manicures done. We were charged full price for terrible service, treated rudely by the owners. We will NEVER be returning. read more

This place is horrible. My girls and I walked in to an empty salon. We were desperate because we are here temporarily for work and really need nail help (acrylics were a mess). We called out several times and no one answered. We ventured to the back thinking maybe someone was hurt. Finally an older woman comes out and asks us to wait while she calls her brother and others to come take care of us. We wait about 20 min. A woman named Hannah starts my nails and right away I am uncomfortable. She is trying to get me to have a gel manicure when I am stating clearly I want acrylic over my own real long nails. We start and I notice that the acrylic is heavy on some portions of the nail but not others. She is about to start filing and I clearly state I want my length left alone, she filed them short. When I said something to her, she then said she wasn't making them short just even! I got up from the chair, she hadn't finished filing, buffing much less polished them. I will never recommend this place. The nail "technicians" have no idea what they are doing. My girls nails are jacked and got cut even though we didn't want that. I will wait until I get home to NY to get a new set!!!! read more
